Hank came to us as a newborn. He was the runt and we couldn't say no to brining him home. He is crate trained, mostly outside, could be inside with the right training. At almost 7 years old, he is so full of energy and spunk. He needs lots of love and a big kid to play with him until they're both ready to settle and snuggle. He is very sweet, never bitten or snapped at any human he's met, big or small. Our 2 year old is scared of his energy and Hank is really uncomfortable around him too. He needs an older kid, with lots of love and energy for him. Hank has never been around other dogs but gets after the fence at times because of the other dogs behind them. He's growled at two humans, ever; just in passing at the park while on a walk so I truly feel they were giving bad energy. When you pet him, he melts! On the rare occasion he gets in trouble, he makes the saddest face. He just needs more love and attention and if I could clone myself to give it to him, I would.

Nkosi is a 1-year old, 55-lb, bulldog mix with beautiful lantern bright eyes. He loves his yard time and walks. What Nkosi wants most is to be with someone as much as possible. He walks calmly like a champ, unless it is his first time out in the morning, then his potty training is top on his mind. He prefers someone to play with him, but he will settle for toys or a misting hose if he has to play alone in the heat.Ideally, Nkosi’s future family will take him to training and help him grow from puppy to an adult, working dog.   You can meet Nkosi or any of our other shelter dogs on Fridays or Saturdays from 11AM-3PM for walk-ins. You can also schedule an appointment ahead of time and on other days via our adoption inquiry form at friendsofycas.org/dogs All adoptable dogs are viewable at friendsofycas.org/dogs All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months).    All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control. Rocha is a 3 year old and 90 pound dog looking for her forever home. Her previous owners said she is house trained and crate trained. Her favorite activities are to play with toys and go swimming.
