Story
Pax came to us from a multiple-dog family, so he is good with other dogs. He's also great with the children in his foster home. He's looking for a forever home . . . how about yours? He is food motivated and an enthusiastic student when training. He rides comfortably in a car, is house trained, crate trained and leash trained. He has been surrounded by a loving foster family but his public exposure has been limited. Obedience classes would be great once he's comfortable in a new environment. They would reinforce the training he's had, and would widen his world, showing him unknown humans are a source of positive attention and rewards. FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. The adoption fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea/Tick/Heartworm Prevention, and Sheltering. Adult Dogs are Heartworm Tested and Treated as Needed. FOCCAS does not DNA test or guarantee breed. My adoption fee (if picked up locally in Crossville, Tennessee) is $225. If transport is needed, my adoption fee is $525 (out of state, East Coast, Great Lakes or New England regions). Thank You for Your Interest in Adopting a Canine Companion from Foccas-tn.org! Story
Part couch potato, part dramatic king, part “oops-sorry-I forgot I’m strong.” This handsome hunk is searching for an experienced, adult-only, pet-free kingdom to rule (mostly from the comfort of a couch). Hot Dog is affectionate, loyal, and deeply committed to giving you his whole heart. Hot Dog is looking for an experienced owner who can give him the guidance and structure he thrives from. He doesn’t know his own strength and can get a bit overwhelmed. With proper training techniques, you can quickly re-direct his attention to something positive, TREATS! Hot Dog is as silly as his name implies and simply loves people.

Story
Dusty is such a sensational puppy! Six months old and with beautiful color, he was pulled from a high intake Houston shelter and now has made it to Rhode Island and is in foster care. An approximate American Bulldog/Boxer mix, he will not likely be tall, but he will be a chunk. Dusty is extremely bright, an excellent learner, and is a thinker with a very level personality. He is goofy, but also responsible, and we see in him and his vigilance the potential to be a most loyal companion and a excellent guardian. He is a people lover and very friendly, gets on great with other dogs, and is very responsive but not clingy or underfoot. This is a rock solid puppy who deserves to go into a home where he will continue to be guided, socialized and *trained* (he is much too strong a dog not to be), and with that done we are pretty sure he will be the best dog of a lifetime for some lucky someone....a really nice boy with a world of potential. Crates well and is well along with his housebreaking training. For questions or to request an application please contact Lucy at maramuser@gmail.com. Southpaws is proud to maintain its adoption fee at $450, but we unfortunately cannot adopt to residents of Massachusetts or New Hampshire due to state restrictions there.

Ben enjoys the company of other dogs and adores children, though he's a bit too fond of chasing cats. Story
Meet Pugsley! Pugsley is a 2-year-old bulldog/terrier mix bursting with charm, goofy energy, and an endless capacity for love. He’s the perfect match for an active family looking for a fun-loving, kid-friendly companion who thrives on adventure and connection. Pugsley is the ideal blend of playful enthusiasm and affectionate sweetness. He loves to run, play, and explore—whether he’s romping in the yard, joining you for long walks, or splashing in the water, one of his all-time favorite activities. He walks beautifully on a leash and brings enthusiasm to every outing, making him a wonderful walking or hiking buddy. At home, Pugsley is a delightful goofball. He’ll do an “alligator chomp” in the air to get your attention, spook himself with a trash bag blowing across the yard, or curl up next to you in the funniest positions. He is good with dogs of all sizes and enjoys having canine companions to play and relax with. Pugsley is incredibly loving and people-oriented. He’s fantastic with kids of all ages and quickly becomes a family favorite. He crates easily when no one is home and does best in a household with a yard and, ideally, another dog buddy. He would love to have a family that is home alot if he is the only dog. He is also cat friendly but may try to play with them. Pugsley is currently being fostered in a home in Seguin, TX. He gets anxious with car rides so he is available in Texas only. He loves sleeping in a bed with his family and sleeps soundly through the night. His quirks—like sleeping with his tongue sticking out and snoring softly—only make him more endearing. If you're seeking a joyful, affectionate, water-loving dog with tons of personality, Pugsley is ready to win your heart. To see more pictures and videos, copy and paste this link. To apply directly for Pugsley click the "Apply for Adoption" button. https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/FODS-A-381 All our dogs come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. Pocket sized bulldog mix with great Corgi type ears! Very friendly girl who listens well. She is good in her crate. Loves to go for long walks and car rides! Ginny is not high energy. She would do well with an older person/persons who has a fenced yard where Ginny could get out of the house to take care of "business"
