Ace was adopted in July of 2025 as a stray found by MCAS. During his time with our family he has shown that he is gentle, loving, and obedient. He enjoys playing with our 2 young children and sunbathing in the grass. Ace rarely misses an opportunity to cuddle and is most suitable for a family that can provide plenty of affection.

Nice to meet you, my name is Athena! I am very graceful and full of wisdom but don't let that fool you I still have a lot of spunk in me to run after a tennis ball... only problem is, sometimes I don't want to bring it back! I am smart, very attentive, treat motivated (but takes them gently), and even knows tricks like paw and speak. On my special trips to Wendy's I ride well in the car sitting in the back seat like a lady. Volunteers take me on weekly trail walks and I have met horses, other walkers, and plenty of bicyclists - I met all with calm interest. I was curious about the horses but wanted to keep my distance. However, I did crouch and back away from a boisterous little boy who approached me too quickly, so I would do better in a home without small children. I love to sniff everything and will give you all the kisses in the world!

Hello there, my name's Bertha. I came to VOCAL upon some sad circumstances. I had just given birth to 13 babies, and the VOCAL team had planned on intaking me and my litter but a day before I was supposed to come in my babies were all given away by my owner. Despite that, VOCAL still wanted to help me and brought me in by myself. I'm a friendly girl but quite scared and unsure of the world. I'm working on my leash skills and improving every day. One thing that my friends here noticed about me is that I often move around slowly, like a manatee! But that's just because I'm pretty timid. Once I meet you though, I am very sweet and affectionate. I like to be as close to you as I can be for comfort and snuggles. I just need someone who can give me patience and love.
