Story
Don't be fooled by Zeus's size, he is a complete goofball with a heart full of love. Zeus has never met a toy that he didn't like. He's basically a giant puppy! Zeus needs an experienced dog owner who knows how to set healthy boundaries and persistent training. Zeus is an absolute love bug BUT he has never been taught basic manners and lacks doggy language. He thinks all dogs love him and he ignores their warnings and thinks everything/dog/person wants to play with him. Because of this he is misunderstood by other dogs and has actually been attack by other dogs before and his size can cause more damage. Let us be clear though, Zeus really does not have a mean bone in his squishy body. He will only be adopted to a experienced pawrent. Please call the shelter at (706) 795-2868 to schedule a meet and greet.Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter is a non-profit shelter serving over 720 square miles. Story
Tanner was brought in after someone dumped him at the end of someone's driveway. He is the sweetest guy. He wants to cuddle with you all day. He has had obvious training. Walks well on a leash, seems to be potty trained, sits on command and will load in a crate with no fuss. Poor Tanner. Please consider him. Please call the shelter at (706) 795-2868 to schedule a meet and greet.Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter is a non-profit shelter serving over 720 square miles. Story
Meet Starsky! Starsky is a silly, goofy 1 year old very handsome American Staffy/American Bulldog (best guess) who has a presence about him. His brindle coloring and personality will turn heads. Starsky came into the rescue with no skills and he quickly learned to sit - especially if there is food involved. He is definitely food motivated and teachable. Starsky weighs 60lbs and may get a little bigger. He has puppy energy so loves to run and play in his foster family's yard but has also decided he likes family sofa time too! He's going to make a terrific addition to a family. We suggest older kids in the house because Starsky doesn't realize he's not a lap dog and might inadvertently knock a small child down, His foster family is working on leash training and other manners but he wants to please. Starsky is current on vaccines, neutered, & microchipped. To meet or adopt Starsky, submit an adoption application at www.dirtroaddoggiesrescue.org ##1991458##

Story
Skye and another dog were dumped at a local church. A neighbor picked them up and brought them to the shelter. Both suffered from skin irritations and were immediately put on medication. The irritation has completely cleared. Sweetest girl ever who loves to play and have a good time. She would be a great companion for a person/family that is active. She is UTD with shots, dewormed and heartworm negative. We will spay and chip.
