Hey there, everybody my name is Mildred, but I like Millie better. I’m the kind of girl that greets you with a smile, maybe a hug and a bouncy good attitude. No one really knows what I’ve been through, but it was not me living my best life. Fortunately, fate smiled upon me and brought me to a wonderful rescue. Here I’m given the opportunity to truly blossom and become the best version of myself. I am learning to play with toys, share my space, and get wonderful cuddles with a loving person. I am getting the hang of going for walks, learning some basic obedience, and of course, sharpening my manners. I am a fun girl that enjoys being around people, but I haven’t quite mastered my own strength- so older kids would be better for me. I’ve always got a big smile on my face and not too much bothers me. I love being outside, sunbathing, smelling the fresh air, and balls are my favorite.  I need to be cat tested but so far, I am a little selective with dogs. I am still learning how to properly greet a new pup, something tells me I would enjoy a playful female. Yep, life is on the up and up now. I mostly need to work on my gentleness and possibly learn how to do taxes. Aside from that I’m really quite the catch! Meet Vader! Vader was found tied to a pole outside our building. He was so scared and confused he broke loose! It took our employees some time to earn his trust and catch him and now he loves everyone and is thankful. Vader is a big boy full of energy! He LOVES to play and get pets all day. He is still working on his leash manners and is making great progress. He even wouldn’t mind having a doggy friend to hangout with! He is a little too big for cats though. Meet our pretty girl Honey dew❤️ this girl is so special and had a horrible beginning to her life. Honey joined our rescue about 1.5 years ago. She is a Pit terrier mix about 3 years old. Honey has been with us longer due to needing a TPLO and then the needed therapy on both of her legs. Sept 5, she has been given a clean bill if health and we have started to work her slowly to reintroduce more activity. Hello, CJ was left with me by my ex and I can no longer take care of him. CJ is 7 or 8 years old and is a very sweet, loving, and protective dog. He loves to go for walks, sleep, have his belly rubbed, and loves to cuddle. I’ve never really had him around children or other dogs and my house is pretty quiet so the perfect home would have adults and no other cats or dogs. He looks intimidating to others because of his size, but with me he’s a big baby! He’s very protective so on walks, he pays attention to any and all noises and he stands his guard. I’ve never had an issue leaving him at Petco for grooming or at the vet so he is not an attack dog. Please let me know if you have any other questions or are interested in adopting CJ.
