Meet Rosie! Aka Rosie May Rosie is an American bull dog mixed with husky that is almost 4 (birthday in April). She is a sweetheart who loves everyone and does great with kids of all ages (currently with a 7 month old and 2 year old). Lived with chickens and a barn cat and did great. Rosie loves playing frisbee, cuddles, and being outside. Rosie needs a home where she can get a lot of attention since she has anxiety. She gets crated when left alone as she has chewed stuff before due to anxiety. She might do well left out if given proper attention. Rosie is a spirited dog who loves to march to the beat of her own drum.

STAR is a foster-based rescue. All our rescue animals stay in foster homes until adoption. We do not have a central facility. I’m Stew, a handsome American Bully with a stocky build, soulful eyes, and a BIG personality. I’m all about full bowls, soft beds, and being someone’s best buddy. Let’s get one thing straight: mealtime is my FAVORITE event of the day. Breakfast? Incredible. Dinner? Elite. Snacks? YES PLEASE. I’m very food-motivated, take treats nicely, and love learning new things when snacks are involved. When I’m not thinking about food, you’ll find me happily gnawing on a chew toy or bone — I lovesssss them. I’ll proudly carry one around like a prized possession and settle in for a good chew session. Toys and bones keep me busy and very content. I’m a total sweetheart who enjoys being near my people and would do great with an active family that enjoys walks, playtime, and adventures. I haven’t officially lived with other dogs or cats yet, but I’m not overly reactive and could do well with proper introductions. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, food-loving cuddle bug who’s always down for snacks, toys, and couch time — I’m your guy. Meet Bismarck Bismarck is a rambunctious boy that knows how to utilize those puppy dog eyes. He’s very smart and knows quite a few commands. He loves playing tug of war and playing with his humans, but the thing he loves the most is being spoiled. When he came to Mackenzie’s he had a skin infection and some allergies that caused him to lose a lot of hair on his back that hasn’t quite come back. Because of this some staff members got in the habit of tucking him in his doggy bed at night. So, he’s gotten accustomed to being pampered! Because of his rambunctiousness he would do better in a home without young children or cats. He is on medication and a special diet to control his allergies. His skin has improved drastically but unfortunately, he may never regrow all the hair on his back and rump. He would enjoy making a fashion statement with a cute little coat or sweater, especially in the winter months. To meet Bismarck, apply today!
