Story
Blank Space is a cute little American bulldog mix who came to the shelter as a stray. He was absolutely terrified when he arrived but he is getting braver every day. He is looking for a special person to help him learn that the world is not so scary. He is still finding the leash a little worrisome so he would do better in a home with a yard and not one where he has to be walked on a leash regularly (at least while he's working on it). He loves other dogs but doesn't really know what he's doing! He would benefit from a confident friend to help him settle in. At this point in his life he really needs a quiet adult home. We think the noise and excitement that comes from children might be too much for him right now. If you are looking for a worried, snuggle bug with a lot of potential, Blank Space is waiting to meet you! All our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots before adoption!

Story
STAR is a foster-based rescue. All our rescue animals stay in foster homes until adoption. We do not have a central facility. If you want to meet any of our adoptables please submit an application.  Hi! My name is Ivy! I am looking for a forever home of my very own, I heard they are the best! I love everyone I meet and I'm a happy girl! I am very smart and eager to please. My foster mom says I love to sleep in the silliest positions.  She's sweet and funny, knows sit, down, potty trained. She's amazing on a leash, great in vehicles and so lovey!!! She's just an all around wonderful girl!!!   I am selective with my doggy friends - I prefer calm, & respectful dogs and am not tolerant of rude or obnoxious dogs.   I haven't met a cat yet.   I love kids, but I sometimes don't know my size so I would be best with older, dog saavy children. I may look a little bit different because I have a cleft lip, but it's not a cleft palate though, so it doesn't affect me one bit other than making me EXTRA cute! If you are interested in fostering me to help me find my forever home, please reach out because my current mom is experiencing some major health complications and it would greatly help us both. If you foster, all supplies and expenses are covered by the rescue. I am completely up to date on all my vetting, spayed and microchipped. I would come with some food, leash, collar, treat, toys and some other goodies. Thank you! I cant wait to meet you! Love Ivy!   If you are interested in meeting me or learning more about me, please fill out an application or email heather@savingtailsanimalrescue.org All STAR animals come vetted, Up to Date (UTD) on age appropriate shots and testing, spay and neutered (if of age,) and microchipped. AGE DISCLAIMER: Unfortunately, most of the orphaned animals that come into our rescue looking for homes don’t bring birth certificates. Sometimes we know our pets’ ages. Sometimes we don’t. So we make our best guess based on the condition of their teeth and the veterinarians best guess.   BREED DISCLAIMER: Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label . Microchips: For the safety of our dogs and peace of mind of our fosters and adopters, STAR microchips all dogs prior to adoption with Petlink Microchips. Please understand that all dogs MUST still wear a collar with ID tags (which include your current information) AT ALL TIMES. Please remember, our foster dogs are extremely important to us-- we will always take any of our dogs back, if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog. Never surrender him/her to a shelter! Story
Hi y'all! Blanche here. I am a 77lbs year old lover looking for a family to call my own. I am new to CCRC so they will be updating shortly with all the cool things they learn about me.  If you are interested in meeting me, please fill out an application and my foster mom will be in touch shortly!  I am looking forward to meeting you soon! Here is what we have learned so far: Gentle, Thick, Sweet, and Strong Requires belly rubs Excellent house manners Does great in the crate – quiet and keeps it clean Enjoys a comfy, thick dog bed Likes short walks, working on loose leash walking, squirrels excite her Treat motivated and takes treats gently Loves kids – a lot (needs work to not lick their face off) Non-reactive to other barking dogs Non-reactive to cats (but hasn’t had close contact) We do not have a facility for you to visit.  WE PROCESS APPLICANTS AND SET APPOINTMENTS BASED ON THE ORDER APPLICATIONS ARE RECEIVED , so while you are welcome to email  ccrcdogs@ccrcdogs.com with specific questions, you will want to complete the  ONLINE APPLICATION ASAP ,  which can be found at www.ccrcdogs.com, to secure your position in line for one of our dogs. You can also find  a description of our process on that same page. Puppies will not be available to be seen until their 10 day quarantine has passed. Our adoption fee is $220 for adults, $295 for puppies (under 6 months), and $150 for seniors (8 yrs and up) which covers the cost of the spay/neuter, age appropriate shots and tests, medications to bring the dog to full health, and a free visit with one of our approved vets after adoption. The majority of dogs at CCRC are obtained from animal control centers, so there is often very little known about their history or even current habits. You can always expect to do some training, regardless of whether you adopt a dog or a puppy, including crate training, house training, and basic manners. CCRC provides a variety of materials and resources to assist you with this, as well as telephone support.   July 26, 2024, 4:21 pm

Story
What a happy girl! Pippa is estimated to be about 7 months old and weighs 29 pounds. Oh Pippa, what a sweetie, she is so affectionate and loves getting lots of attention from everyone she meets! Her hobbies include playing with her favorite toy, which is the Kong Wubba, giving lots of kisses, body wiggles, melting into you and belly rubs. What an adorable low rider she is too, she bounds about on her little legs with such happiness, it will for sure make you laugh. Pippa is also a gentle soul who is very attentive and wants to please you. She does have some hand shyness though, so an adopter who can help build her confidence would be perfect. Pippa is a baby, so she's still learning about the world and will need a forever family who can provide her with the love, care, and guidance she needs to grow up to be a wonderful dog. She will need a home where any children are at least 4 years old. If there is another nice doggy sibling in the home, Pippa would love to meet them. She has a low submissive, loose approach with other dogs and goes right into play mode. If you are interested in Pippa and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*

Story
Lazarus has always been a great family dog, he just wants to be around his family. Something changed when he had bowel surgery after the healing process he started snapping at (without making skin contact) my younger two kids who had previously been able to work on his training with him, hand feed treats, heel him around the living room ect. He need a home with experienced handlers and no young kids. He has been ok with dogs but it has been a while I think he would need a slow intro.
