Story
Meet Phineas! Phineas is a Boxer mix that loves walks and play time! His favorite toys are tennis balls and he could chase them for hours! Not only is Phineas fun a lot of fun, he also is super friendly and loveeees people! For these reasons, he absolutely adores going out on walks with our volunteers! We would like to also give you an idea of how smart this big, loveable goof is! He has memorized the order in which the dogs are rotated out of their kennels, and he will get more and more excited as his turn gets closer!! We love Phineas' personality and we soak up every minute we can with him, but he does need to find his forever home!Phineas can't wait to get out of the shelter and into a loving home! To help make that happen, his adoption fee has been waived!

Story
Meet Dale! This playful pup was found abandoned, tied to a gate with no food or water. Despite Dale's past, he is the happiest boy. He loves to play with squeaky toys and go for long walks. Dale can't wait to make up for lost time and love in his forever home. Dale could potentially live with older kids, cats, and other dogs.Griffin is a canine kennel attendant and one of Dale's daily caretakers. Griffin has this to say about his buddy, Dale:"Everyone, meet Dale! This lively pup was found abandoned without food or water. Dale may have a troubled past, but he does not let that bring him down. Dale is a high energy dog who loves to play fetch (especially with a squeaky toy). He also enjoys going for nice long walks to get a chance to stretch his legs and he does amazing on a harness! Dale can get very excited and he will let you know, but he is a great listener, particularly when there are treats involved! He has stores and stores of energy and with the right amount of attention and playtime he'll love you forever! Dale would do best with older children, or those who can handle a slobbery face of kisses and hugs. He deserves the world. Help give him the best gift ever by finding him his forever home!" Dale can't wait to get out of the shelter and into a loving home! To help make that happen, his adoption fee has been waived!

Story
Available to Adopt - SamsonCHECK OUT HIS NEW BIO! Current location - Near Chicago Samson needs a hero. He hopes for someone to share his love with. It's that simple. He is sweet and mellow, and we really cannot understand why someone hasn't snatched up this goodest of boys yet. Sammy loves his people and doesn't discriminate as to age. He will bond tightly, but not in a weird, scary way.  Does he love other animals? Well, we can't really say. He probably doesn't care for cats or other small critters. The curiosity is just a little high. Other dogs? He's been interested, but non-reactive, when he sees them on walks. With another low-key, non-reactive dog, he might be ok, or he might be just fine in being an only pet, that could tolerate others that visit. One thing is certain, this most handsome boy needs his own home and people he can call his family. Samson loves to go on leisurely walks. He is one who likes to stop and take a good roll in the grass, and also enjoys observing everything around hm. He's a very easy boy to be around, even when visitors stop in. If he's in the mood, he might even engage you in a good game of fetch. Regardless, you'll need a full toy box. Sammy is working on his crate training skills. He is progressing well and moving forward. He is able to stay in the house by himself as long as he is not trapped in a room and cannot determine how to escape. He is, however, a refined gentleman who likes some calm background music when he's alone to keep him company. He does really hope that his family can be with him more often than not. Occasional alone time is ok, but he really hopes it won't be the 'norm'.  Can you be the home our sweet boy is looking for? ##794406##
