Say hello to the cutest little butterball around, Calliou (aka Cai as I have been calling him) This kid is just over a year old, bulldog mix, only about 35lbs, neutered, up to date on vax and ready to meet his next best friend! ~Low to medium energy- gets zoomies 1-2 times per day ~Gentle treat taker - Very food motivated so training time will be a breeze, did not show any food aggression (but a very quick eater!) ~Needs more practice on potty training as he is still on the younger side and maybe he was never taught. He does utilize puppy pads when he cannot hold it so moving on to the next step of only going outside should be easier once he is in a stable environment with a more set schedule ~Easy to bathe and seemed to enjoy getting a shampoo rubdown ~Interested in other pups, booped noses with some dogs on walks and had major butt wiggles seeing my resident older dog through the gate ~A little too interested in cats so a home with no cats or doing slow, controlled intros with the guidance of Care staff would be needed ~Loose leash walker – A bit nervous and unsure on walks but super easy to guide and he is a big fan of stopping to smell the flowers. He looks back to his walker for cues with his adorable little underbite, rarely tugs and is quick to redirect as needed ~Will do pretty much anything for a peanut butter Kong (this is the go to at bedtime, walks straight in the crate and waits patiently) ~Crate trained – Sleeps through the night without a peep once settled, crate kept mostly clean ~Does well on his own when left out of the crate during the day, only chews his toys as long as he has a few in front of him (no stuffies, these do not last long.) Whines softly for a minute when you initially leave him but then is fine with the alone time ~Working on basic commands, has sit nailed ~He can beat you in a staring contest any day… sometimes he will just sit and look at his person (a delightful mix of cute and creepy) ~He loves a good snuggle session (just look at his sploot pic) He is a real gem of a pup, just content to be in your presence and have a relax ~Excellent best friend material, once you meet him you will fall in love
