Beemon recently went on a Dog Day Out and here's what his DDO buddy had to say! "Hi! I'm Beemon! I am... 4 Years old! -HeartWorm Negative -Neutered Male -Medium Energy -Knows SIT very well -Pulls a bit on leash but well mannered after energy release -Jumps up to play but isn't rude about it -LOVES to play fetch and jumps to catch toys and play tug of war -Was great with my 5yr old DID NOT jump on him but is on the taller side and will lean against him and accidentally knock him over getting all the pets -Is a great car rider; is a bit restless at first but settles very quickly -Treat Motivated Today we took Beemon out for a few hours to enjoy some sun and a doggy day out. He did well coming out of his kennel but did pull some in the beginning and jumped a few times; excited to be getting out for the day. Beemon did great loading in the car and hopped right in. He was a little restless to begin with and would stand, turn and sniff out the window but quickly settled and just laid down for the ride. Our first stop was a SniffSpot where he ran and played fetch with the kids and climbed on all the doggy enrichment things they had! He also played hide and seek with the kids. He did very well with letting the kids have his toy to throw it over and over again. He will jump up to get the toy in excitement but did not jump on our bodies, only towards the toy. He is a GREAT tug of war buddy and will play it the whole time if you let him. He played hard for about 30 mins and then came over for a rest where he just sat with his toy and enjoyed the sun and conversation with the kids. Our next stop was Starbucks and he LOVES a good pup cup! He also was very well mannered while the kids ate their lunch and was so sweet when offered a chicken nugget from the kids. He can get overly excited when taking treats but does very well when told to be easy. He will SIT regardless of the offering of treats but sure does love getting one!! He just sat and watched the kids enjoy their lunch and was such a well mannered boy. Would be a great brewery buddy! Overall impression of this big boy is he is an overgrown lap dog who just wants attention and someone to love him and occasionally throw a ball for him to chase after. He's a bit of a dork and will always have a laugh to offer you! This big baby has a heart of gold and is ready to find his forever family! My grandmother and I took Tank up to the pet store to get some extra toys and treats for him. He loves to play with his toys and loves to sleep. He is a very loving and sweet dog. Tank is house trained and will let you know he needs to go out by barking and going to the door. He loves treats and enjoys Milkbone Dog Biscuits, Puperoni Sticks, and chew sticks.Enjoys meeting new people, is cuddly and affectionate, walks well on leash (No or low amount of pulling), chases cats/small animals, enjoys car rides, and is potty trained.Foster notes, 12/5/23:Tank is a very loving dog and enjoys being around me and my Grandmother. He enjoys taking over the couch so I might have to get his permission to sit on it! LOL He likes to be the center of attention and loves to be petted and have his rear scratched. Most of the time, he loves to sleep as long as someone is with him. Tank has had one accident but is housetrained. Dog Day Out notes, 11/20/23:I took Tank to get a delicious pup cup at Dunkin Donuts and I took him to Hawfields Park where we walked and played with his ball. He is good with kids we met, enjoyed meeting new people, and he`s loving, affectionate, and good on leash.Dog Day Out notes, 10/2/23:Tank and I roamed around campus for a few hours. We layed out in the sun and in the grass, and met plenty of new friends. We walked around campus and just got to explore and also cuddle on plenty of benches! He enjoyed meeting new people, is loving and affectionate, and is good on leash but pulls a little. Tank didn`t go directly up to other animals, but was intrigued from far away. He never once barked at other animals, just looked at them. Tank was such a sweet boy, he was playful for small amounts of time but also calmed down when needed. He is incredibly sweet, he just wanted to hug and cuddle with every person he saw but never jumped or barked. He is the sweetest boy ever! Age: 6 years old (approx) Weight: 50 pounds Adoption Fee: $175 (includes microchip, neuter surgery and vaccinations) Papa is a very friendly medium-sized dog who is sweet and people-oriented. He knows how to SIT, lay down, and SHAKE hands and will even do this with either paw! He is quite playful but also a well-behaved adult dog. He likes car rides and going for puppacinos and frozen yogurt! He loves all people and loves to make new friends! We have also discovered he seems to enjoy wearing hats and sweaters, and he's so photogenic that you cannot help but dress him up for pictures! He's our resident Dog Model who will wear just about anything and has fun too. Got Netflix? He'll binge-watch whatever you're watching with you (we can't guarantee he'll stay awake though!) We have also found that Papa also really likes race tracks! He has been to Virginia International Raceway THREE times and loves all the people and noise.  His ideal home would have no other dogs (cats who know dogs are OK) and no small children/toddlers (he jumps a little bit when he's excited and could knock a little child over without meaning harm). We adopted Bluey from the shelter in hopes to giving him a loving home. He is a very energetic and loving boy who needs much attention and space to run that our home does not allow. With my busy schedule I feel like he is being neglected in the quality time and exercise he needs and deserves. Prefer the adopter have a yard for him to run and be familiar with the hyperactivity of his breed. If you are looking for a lazy lapdog Bluey isn’t it but if you are looking for someone to keep you busy and on your toes he is your man.

Story

Trace was found 9/2/23. She had a collar on but we couldn’t find her owner. She is a very sweet, loving, and a gentle girl. She loves affection and being close to you. She seemed to need some help so we took her in. We have animals of our own and are at our limit with pets at our rental so we have been fostering her. She has been to the vet and is in excellent health. She is a dog that will most definitely bring a smile with her playful manners. We hope to find her a great happy home!
