Story
DOMINO NEEDS A FOREVER FOSTER!! 2023 was a lousy year for this big, beautiful girl. Let's make 2024 a good year for her. Darling Domino needs a chance at happiness. She is a delightful girl who bonds closely to the people she loves. She's mostly a couch potato who enjoys a romp around the yard and playing with her toys. She loves to go on car rides. She needs a home where she will be the only pet, no other dogs or cats because she was never socialized with other animals. She needs a home with a physically-fenced yard where she can run around a bit, take care of business and get back indoors. She's about 9 years old and 62 pounds. She's best suited to a home where she won't have to navigate flights of stairs. Domino has some health issues -- food and skin allergies and some arthritis. When she finds a home, she will be a forever foster, SDHR will continue to provide for all of her veterinary care, preventatives, etc. through our vet, Clough Pike Veterinary Clinic in Batavia.   DOMINO was adopted from SDHR 6.5 years ago and was happy in her furever home. Then she got the rug pulled out from under her when she lost her home due to the usual litany of excuses we hear in rescue... she's a great dog and we love her but moving blah blah, job change blah blah, not enough time blah blah. She arrived extremely overweight, which has been addressed. If you are willing to provide Domino with a forever foster home, you will be rewarded with lots of love from this very special dog in need. SDHR will provide all supplies, food, etc. Are you ready to welcome Domino into your home? Please fill out a foster application at dreamhouserescue.org and indicate you are interested in fostering Domino. Meet Nala! Nala is a sweet girl with lots of energy! She loves to run and play. She loves to play tug. She gets very into it and is very vocal while playing tug. While we are not sure how Nala would do with cats, we do know she does well with older kids. She has also lived with other dogs, but can be choosey with her friends. If you have another dog at home we would strongly recommend a meet and greet with them, to see if they are compatible. Nala does know basic commands and graduated from her beginner training class. She would greatly benefit from ongoing training and enrichment, to keep her being the best girl she can be. If you would like to meet Nala, please contact SPCA Cincinnati for more information.

Meet Ford, a remarkable Bulldog whose presence is as powerful and steadfast as a mighty river. Just like the characteristics of his breed, Ford embodies kindness and courage, showcasing a unique blend of friendliness and dignity. Now you may not see it by looking into his gorgeous brown eyes, but Ford has suffered in his short life.... he came to the rescue from the streets with a HORRIFIC hernia on his back end, near his rectum. He required two surgeries to correct the hernia and allow him to have a normal life again. He came through with SHINING colors ;) With his well-muscled frame and low-slung stature, Ford is the epitome of a true bruiser, but it's his iconic "sourmug" face that represents his unwavering courage and tenacity. Despite his robust appearance, Ford is a docile and loyal companion, adapting seamlessly to any environment, be it the bustling city or the serene countryside. With Ford by your side, you'll experience the unwavering devotion and unmistakable presence of a Bulldog, a breed that leaves an indelible mark on your heart. Don't miss the opportunity to welcome this incredible Bulldog into your life, as Ford's unique spirit will bring joy, love, and an unmistakable charm that only he can deliver. Some basic information about Ford; he is male, a Bulldog mix, and is medium-sized (20-59lbs). Ford is not great with other dogs (or cats or other critters) and would be best in a home with either only adults or older children and as a single dog. But his heart will fill your home with all the love you need!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Meet Gayle, a 2-year-old female American Bulldog mix with a stunning apricot and white bicolor coat. Gayle is a high-energy pup who loves spending time with people. She's incredibly friendly and cuddly, always eager to share affection. While Gayle enjoys the company of people, she can be selective with other dogs and might need a patient and experienced owner who can help her navigate her interactions. She's a bit anxious and defensive around other dogs, but with slow exposure and gentle guidance, she has the potential to adjust and become more comfortable over time. We suggest a single dog home for Gayle. If you're an experienced dog owner looking for a loving and energetic companion, Gayle could be the perfect addition to your family. With a little time and patience, she's sure to become a loyal and devoted friend. Come meet Gayle and see if you can be the one to provide her with a forever home filled with love and understanding. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)
