Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Fill out an Adoption Application HENRY IS LOCATED IN KING OF PRUSSIA, PA. Introducing: Henry! He is an approximately 2 year old American Bully boy weighing 65 pounds. Henry was rescued by police from a serious neglect situation in Ohio. In spite of that, he is a HUGE sweetheart who loves every person he meets. Likes: Hanging out with you while you work, car rides, cuddling, doggie food and treats, being petted, and meeting new people. Dislikes: Being left out of social activities, and hot weather.  He's looking forward to the fall season. Personality: Henry has a relaxed, go with the flow personality. Temperament: Chill, he just wants a comfy place to hang out. Energy level: Low. He does not require very much in terms of exercise. Favorite activities: Laying down with a human companion, eating from treat toys such as lick mats and Kongs, and sleeping. Good with cats, dogs, and kids (over 6)?:  Henry has a very low prey drive, so while he has not been tested with cats they would likely not be an issue for him. He has good dog social skills and has been polite with introductions, even when the other dog is not polite! He does not seem very interested in playing with other dogs. He loves everyone so he should be great with kids. Not good with: Hot weather due to his short muzzle. Housetrained: Yes, although he has not been left out of the crate unsupervised for any long period. He does not soil his crate. Crate trained: Yes. He will cry if you’re around and he can hear you though. He does not like being left out of social situations. He does great overnight in the crate and sleeps well with a dog bed in there. Requires a fenced yard (physical fence and/or invisible fence)?  No. Walks well on a leash? Yes, he is low key and stays near you. Challenges: Keeping his wrinkly ears and paws clean. No behavior challenges to note. Any Medical issues? Henry came to MTM with severe skin yeast and bacterial infections due to the neglect situation.  He is recovering with medication and proper hygiene. He has some spots missing fur, but it is growing back. His paw pads are unusually deep and therefore hard to keep clean. While walking outside his paws get debris stuck in them. His toe jam needs to be cleaned out regularly or they grow yeast. His ears are currently being treated for yeast as well; it is unclear if this will be an ongoing issue or if it is due to previous neglect. What would be the best kind of home? Henry would fit in well almost anywhere. He is not an active guy, so he will not make a good hiking buddy. He is not interested in dog toys and only plays in short bursts. Any home with humans who want to cuddle his mush face is a good fit : )   Application Fees, Adoption Donations and Rescue Policy: Please know that 100% of our fees and donations pay for the costs of rescuing dogs. These include, but are not limited to: pull fees from shelters, veterinary examinations, vaccinations, medications and care, microchips, neuter/spay surgeries, heartworm treatments, behavior evaluations, and foster care, as needed. Story
Buttercup is 9-10 months old.  She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.  When she arrived here at the shelter she had a cherry eye but that has been repaired and has healed up nicely.   Buttercup is mildly special needs because she needs a home with low excitement.  She is not good with squealing noises or with 'baby talk'.  What we have learned is that she needs someone to speak to her in a calm monotoned voice.  She reacts to piercing noise and becomes over stimulated as a result. Further training is necessary.  She does walk ok on leash. We suggest a home without children.  She reacts ok to some dogs but should be introduced prior to adoption will be approved.    Anyone interested in Buttercup must meet her and complete an application. Story
Meet Brooks! Brooks came to us coated in cuts in various stages of healing some of them infected, and scars on top of scars. He was abandoned alongside the highway in Harmony township, and left at the mercy of strangers to save him from being hit – thankfully they did. Brooks is an amazing dog, he is loyal, he is loving, he is cuddly, and he is funny without even meaning to be. But he is also loud, he is also strong, and he is dog selective if they're the same size or larger than him. Brooks is 3-5 years old (many of his teeth are missing so telling his exact age is difficult) and is a bully/pittie mix, and is roughly 50lbs of pure muscle. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines including rabies, microchipped, and on heartworm protection. Brooks is house trained but will have accidents if it’s over 10 hours, he does NOT do well in the car, and does poorly on a leash but we’re working on that! His adoption fee is $150. If you’re interested in adopting Brooks please fill out this form https://www.cognitoforms.com/anythingspawsibleanimalresourcecenter/dogadoptionapplicationover6months and email us at aparcmiranda@gmail.com! Meet and greets will take place in Clark County, OH. Here is some more info about Brooks! Brooks would do best in a home with no dogs over 30lbs as he can become very dominate around dogs the same size or larger than him, especially if they are not completely submissive. He would also do best if he lived with someone who worked from home, or is that comfortable with not crating him as he experiences anxiety when crated. He also needs a fenced in yard (ideally 6ft) because he is just so social, he will go visit his neighbors and hang out on the porch like they’re life long friends. Brooks NEEDS there to be a child in the home, as he loves children the most. He also is a pretty big fan of small dogs, but may give chase to cats at first. We know this is a lot, but Brooks has been through a lot and deserves the perfect home!
