Story
We picked him up on the 4th of July 2-1/2 years ago running down the street, clearly scared of the fireworks. He immediately jumped into the car when we opened the door for him. We took him to the shelter the next day but he refused to get out of the car. He had no chip or tags. They posted him on their web site for 90 days. He was posted on social media and asked around elsewhere but no one claimed him. When we first got him he couldn't walk without falling and wasn't house trained. He had a bad smelling skin condition. When we took him to the vet they said he had clearly had been kenneled for too long which was why he had a hard time walking. It looked like he was abused and neglected. Vet said he was about 1 year old at that time. I put "unknown" if he gets along with other dogs because he gets along with some but not others. I think he may have a dog version of PTSD. I don't have a yard and think he would do better someplace with a lot of room to run freely.

Story
Meet Pugsley! Pugsley is a 2-year-old bulldog/terrier mix bursting with charm, goofy energy, and an endless capacity for love. He’s the perfect match for an active family looking for a fun-loving, kid-friendly companion who thrives on adventure and connection. Pugsley is the ideal blend of playful enthusiasm and affectionate sweetness. He loves to run, play, and explore—whether he’s romping in the yard, joining you for long walks, or splashing in the water, one of his all-time favorite activities. He walks beautifully on a leash and brings enthusiasm to every outing, making him a wonderful walking or hiking buddy. At home, Pugsley is a delightful goofball. He’ll do an “alligator chomp” in the air to get your attention, spook himself with a trash bag blowing across the yard, or curl up next to you in the funniest positions. He is good with dogs of all sizes and enjoys having canine companions to play and relax with. Pugsley is incredibly loving and people-oriented. He’s fantastic with kids of all ages and quickly becomes a family favorite. He crates easily when no one is home and does best in a household with a yard and, ideally, another dog buddy. He would love to have a family that is home alot if he is the only dog. He is also cat friendly but may try to play with them. Pugsley is currently being fostered in a home in Seguin, TX. He gets anxious with car rides so he is available in Texas only. He loves sleeping in a bed with his family and sleeps soundly through the night. His quirks—like sleeping with his tongue sticking out and snoring softly—only make him more endearing. If you're seeking a joyful, affectionate, water-loving dog with tons of personality, Pugsley is ready to win your heart. To see more pictures and videos, copy and paste this link. Story
Meet Matilda – A Gentle, Devoted Companion Who Thrives on Love Matilda is a calm, affectionate rescue dog with a heart full of devotion and an incredible love for her people. She is fully potty trained and wonderfully well-mannered in the home. Matilda uses a doggy door with ease and remains very calm indoors, making her a peaceful and comforting presence in daily life. At bedtime, Matilda settles in beautifully. She willingly goes to sleep in a kennel and sleeps through the night without a single whine, showing how adaptable and trusting she is. In a home environment, she is not destructive and does well when left alone, patiently waiting for her people to return. Matilda rides well tethered in the car with no car sickness and enjoys being included in outings. She loves people of all ages and forms deep bonds quickly. True to her loyal nature, she follows her favorite humans from room to room and will quietly sit outside a closed door just to remain close. She gets along well with other dogs and does not initiate play, but coexists peacefully. Matilda would be perfectly happy as an only dog—not because she isn’t social, but because she truly loves attention. Extremely affectionate, she adores snuggling and sleeps contentedly on a bed beside her family. She also loves toys and enjoys having something to play with or cuddle. Another favorite of Matilda’s is water—she delights in splashing, wading, and spending time near it whenever she can. Matilda has a gentle curiosity about the world around her. If something interesting is on the other side of a fence, she may dig to investigate. At her foster family’s home, she loved to quietly mingle with the deer nearby. She never chased or tried to harm them and would patiently sit and watch, even waiting for them when they weren’t around. Matilda’s ideal home is with a person or family who is home most of the time. Confident, people-focused, and loving, she would also do well at social gatherings and out in public. This sweet girl is being fostered in Seguin, TX, where she’s getting all the care she needs. She is spayed, heartworm negative, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and on regular flea, tick, and heartworm preventatives. For the right family, Matilda can be transported to the Northeast or the Pacific Northwest to start her forever life. To see more pictures and videos, copy and paste this link. Story
Dexter is 1 years old, he was born on December 21st, 2024. I got him for a birthday present when he was 8 weeks old. He has grown into a 63-pound beauty, he has a lot of energy but hasn't worked out the best behaviors to play fetch he just knows he wants to play keep away and sometimes lets you throw it. I work 2 jobs and all the adults in his life work; he went from having people at home with him all the time for his 1st 6 months with us and now we all work and I hate leaving him outside all day. Some bad habits he has is wanting outside a lot when we are home, and not being able to turn "off" and I believe it's his energy is way hire than mine. He has been around children and cats his whole life, however as he has gotten older, he seems more protective of me when strangers come around. He needs someone in his life that has trained dogs before, I have not and I am way over my head. He is a strong boy, and has a lot of energy.
