Story
Bureau of Dog Law Enforcement—Kennel License #2617Could he do well with kids? Yes, with children 10 years and older. There may need to be multiple meets.Could he do well with other dogs? Yes, on a dog-by-dog basis.Has this dog lived with cats? Unknown. [The Lycoming County SPCA does not “cat test” dogs per the Association of Shelter Veterinarian’s Guidelines for Standards of Care in Animal Shelters.]---Meet Bowser – Big Head, Bigger Heart, Slow Walker, Belly Rub ConnoisseurAt 78 pounds, big boy Bowser is a 4-year-old American Bulldog mix with a face that might read as “back off” but a personality that says “please pet my belly forever.” He might give you some serious side-eye when you first meet him, but give him a minute—and maybe a treat—and you’ll discover a tender, goofy guy who just wants to hang out, get love, and explore the world—very slowly. What Makes Bowser So Bowser:- Loves belly rubs more than just about anything- Walks at what we’ll generously call a gentle meander—his idea of exercise is mostly standing still in new places- Will trot over, plop that big ol’ head into your lap, and wag his tail while you scratch behind his ears- A gentle treat taker and a surprisingly sweet softie under that tough mug- Can be a bit unsure at first—he needs slow intros, a little space, and a few snacky bribes to warm up (who can’t relate?)Bowser isn’t in a rush. He’s a mellow, deliberate boy who just wants a calm home, good snacks, and someone to sit beside while he sniffs the breeze. He does well with other dogs (after some initial awkwardness) and could potentially live with a polite canine friend. He’s open to families with kids 10+, with some thoughtful introductions. And while we don’t know how he’d do with cats, he does do well with kind, patient people who respect his space—and then become his whole world.Bowser’s Ideal Day:- Wake up. Big stretch.- Go outside. Move about 15 feet. Sniff a bush for 12 minutes.- Come inside. Belly rub. Nap. Repeat.- Also: snacks. He might look serious. But he’s on the inside he’s a marshmallow.---Condensed Staff Assessment Notes: Bowser was excited to get out of the kennel. Once leashed he jumped on the handler then tried to pull to go outside. He`s a tank on a leash and cared more about sniffing the environment then listening to the handler—you can capture his attention though and he will redirect

These 3 chunky babies were born in a rural shelter with not much hope. Thankfully an angel stepped up to foster mom and her babies. And this angel is also adopting the mom. Now we have taken the babies into our rescue and will get them fully vetted and ready for an awesome forever home. They were born around the first of June so they will be ready to go to forever homes the middle of August if everything continues to go as planned. THESE PUPS ARE FOSTERED IN TN AND WILL TRAVEL NORTH ONCE THEIR ADOPTIONS ARE FINALIZED AND VETTING IS COMPLETED. If you are interested in adopting please submit an adoption application at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FFRR/Dog Their adoption fee is $399 and if transport is required there will be an additional $200 fee.
