Story
Emma is a 13 year old who is full of love to give. She is in the early stages of kidney failure so our main goal is to find her a hospice home so she can enjoy the rest of her days happy in a home. Due to how bad her bloodwork was, our vet thinks getting Emma spayed would be more detrimental to her than good. despite her age , she has so much energy and love to give! A home with no other animals is must.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.COURTESY POST   Lilly finds herself needing a family to call her own.   She is about 4 years old.  She is a sweet, quiet girl who loves to play ball and go for car rides.  She was tested with another younger dog and did fine with him.  Her caretaker has not tested her with cats.  She appears to be an American Bulldog/Mix.    She is a bit chunky but she walks nicely on a leash so her weight could change with regular exercise.  Lilly is a velcro dog and chooses to be with her 'person'.   Her caretaker is looking for a home that will be kind to her as she does show signs that she has been mistreated in the past.   Althought Lilly is not in our program, we've agreed to help her caretaker by courtesy posting.  If you are interested in Lilly, please fill out an application and we will forward it to her caretaker.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ Click here for the ADOPTION APPLICATION if you are interested in adopting this pet. Story
Introducing May, a resilient and courageous dog who has overcome great adversity in her life. For several months, May found herself wandering the streets, facing the challenges of survival on her own. During this time, she endured a prolapsed vagina, a painful condition that required urgent medical attention. Though people in the neighborhood attempted to help her, her fear and mistrust kept her at a distance. Fortunately, fate intervened when one of our compassionate fosters caught sight of May and recognized the urgency of her situation. With a clever plan involving fries as bait, May was coaxed close enough to be safely captured. Immediately, she was taken to the veterinary clinic, where she underwent surgery to repair her injury. May is now ready for a new chapter in her life, filled with endless love, security, and happiness. If you're searching for a quiet and affectionate canine companion who will steal your heart with a single smile, look no further than May. Come and meet her, and witness the incredible transformation she has undergone. May is waiting with open paws to bring joy and warmth into your life. If May May sounds like she might be the right match for you, or if you want to check out more of our wonderful pets for adoption, please visit ffpets.org to read all about our TN-based rescue and how the adoption and transport process works and to submit your application The adoption fee is $300 and transport is an additional $200 This pet is currently in a foster home in TN and will be transported north after the adoption is complete. Story
Meet our local celebrity, Dora the Explorer! Dora is around 3 years old and she weighs around 58 lbs. Dora was spotted for over 1 year traveling a wide area and numerous concerned citizens became concerned that Dora had lost her way and her family. A group of volunteers made it their mission to rescue Dora. After being caught it was evident that at some point she had a family that loved her because she knew many commands and was proving to be a very intelligent girl. Dora is very playful. She bonds to her humans very quickly and would just love to be a couch potato when she is not out in the yard entertaining herself or having fun playing fetch. Her foster family has several older dogs and Dora seems fine with them, however, Dora would do great as well, as a single dog family because she loves her people! Any questions about her can be answered by her foster mom and we can put you in touch with her. Dora is ready to travel when the perfect home is found for her. Story
Meet Molly! Her name is very new as she was a mill mama that has had several litters and then found dumped in a field just a few weeks ago. There's no known history for her. She was "Snookie" for a short time in the shelter and then renamed Molly the Meatball when her foster parents knew that was meant to be her name. She's estimated to be around 4 years old but definitely still has puppy in her! She's silly and super sweet. She loves to please and is a very good learner. She loves toys, kids and even her foster brother and sister who gave her a little trouble in the beginning but she said that was ok and watched them out until they decided she's not so bad. She is super gentle and maybe would be a jumper if she could get more than 6 inches off the ground:). She has obviously endured trauma and a lack of care. There is no way of knowing exactly what she went through but it wasn't good. She will need lots of love and lots of patience as she sheds those extra pounds she has that restricts her (about 20), learns how to trust (she cowered and shook for the first several days when she got pets), and learns how to go potty outside which we are teaching with only positive reinforcement and she is definitely improving. She needs constant care to keep her ears clean, her nails clipped and her wrinkles clean. She can't run very fast but she does wander so a fenced in yard would be ideal, she loves to be outside. An outside couch is a bonus. A house with kids and other friendly dogs would be best for her. She hasn't been tested with cats or other animals but considering how she's been with our kids and dogs, I wouldn't be reluctant to try and would be surprised if there was a problem. She does have separation anxiety and would do best with a family that has someone home most of the time until she is acclimated to her new home. We are very excited for Miss Molly to get her second chance and live the life she deserves. She was spayed on Thursday, microchipped and is up to date on her shots. If you're interested in seeing if Molly will be a good fit for your family, please submit an application!
