Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.NOBODY KNOWS THE TROUBLE I'VE SEEN .....  Where is my new home? Still patiently waiting for the 'right' home.  Trouble is anything but Trouble says her foster mom.  She is a lovely female beagle/bulldog mix.  Trouble has lost her home due to a change in family living.  Up to now, she has lived with children and other dogs.  In her foster home, she goes for long walks with her canine companions and is good on a leash although a bit strong.  She SO loves to play with her two canine residents so we feel she needs a home with other friendly dougs.  Trouble has attended a soccer game with her foster mom and seems totally enthralled with the game.  See photo.  The first night in her new foster home, Trouble slept with her foster's granddaughter and was a great snuggle buddy.Trouble is looking for a home with a playful friendly canine companion, an active owner and a fenced in yard due to having a high prey drive that could send her running into a dangerous situation if off-leash.Trouble is spayed, microchipped, up to date with vaccinations, and is on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.  Apply soon to add this awesome dog to your heart and home.  Trouble is being fostered near Selinsgrove, PA.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ Click here for the ADOPTION APPLICATION if you are interested in adopting this pet. Applications are the first step in the adoption process. Please do not call or email simply to express interest. Story
Introducing May, a resilient and courageous dog who has overcome great adversity in her life. For several months, May found herself wandering the streets, facing the challenges of survival on her own. During this time, she endured a prolapsed vagina, a painful condition that required urgent medical attention. Though people in the neighborhood attempted to help her, her fear and mistrust kept her at a distance. Fortunately, fate intervened when one of our compassionate fosters caught sight of May and recognized the urgency of her situation. With a clever plan involving fries as bait, May was coaxed close enough to be safely captured. Immediately, she was taken to the veterinary clinic, where she underwent surgery to repair her injury. May is now ready for a new chapter in her life, filled with endless love, security, and happiness. If you're searching for a quiet and affectionate canine companion who will steal your heart with a single smile, look no further than May. Come and meet her, and witness the incredible transformation she has undergone. May is waiting with open paws to bring joy and warmth into your life. If May May sounds like she might be the right match for you, or if you want to check out more of our wonderful pets for adoption, please visit ffpets.org to read all about our TN-based rescue and how the adoption and transport process works and to submit your application The adoption fee is $300 and transport is an additional $200 This pet is currently in a foster home in TN and will be transported north after the adoption is complete. Story
Meet our local celebrity, Dora the Explorer! Dora is around 3 years old and she weighs around 58 lbs. Dora was spotted for over 1 year traveling a wide area and numerous concerned citizens became concerned that Dora had lost her way and her family. A group of volunteers made it their mission to rescue Dora. After being caught it was evident that at some point she had a family that loved her because she knew many commands and was proving to be a very intelligent girl. Dora is very playful. She bonds to her humans very quickly and would just love to be a couch potato when she is not out in the yard entertaining herself or having fun playing fetch. Her foster family has several older dogs and Dora seems fine with them, however, Dora would do great as well, as a single dog family because she loves her people! Any questions about her can be answered by her foster mom and we can put you in touch with her. Dora is ready to travel when the perfect home is found for her. Story
This is our sweet precious Lucy. Lucy had an owner but her owner used to turn her out every day to wander the streets. A friend of the rescue would pick her up when she saw her and bring her home. She feared that Lucy would get hit by a car so one day when she returned her home, she asked the owners if they would surrender her to a rescue. They agreed and Lucy arrived here happy as a clam. She's a big girl, not fat, just a big girl. She's a very gentle big girl, sleeps in my bed with all the little ones sleeping on top of her! She loves children and cats. She was heart worm positive when she arrived but we have cleared all of that up. Lucy maybe a little older at 8 years but she has the energy of a puppy. She loves to play all day with the rest of the shelter dogs. She is spayed, fully vaccinated and house broken. She needs her forever home, could that be you? PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE LOCATED IN TENNESSEE AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MEET OUR PETS PRIOR TO ADOPTION! ADOPTION FEE $350

Story
Dewey is a micro bully that came to us as a stray severely underweight in January. We opened a humane case against his owner and recently Dewey was awarded to us. Dewey is happy, healthy and ready to move on. While with us, we’ve found that Dewey is deaf. He is going to need a family that’s willing to work with his disability so he can thrive and receive proper training. Dewey does well with female dogs and some males. He is selective with male dogs. He also lives with 4 cats but does like to chase them. Dewey would do best with kids over 12 because he can be mouthy when he is excited. Sometimes a quick timeout in his crate is needed to calm him down.
