Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Deitz is an Old American bulldog mix who is true to his breed. He was born in 2013. When he is not playing hard, he just wants to cuddle and warning... he thinks he is a lap dog. He enjoys chewing on bones, deer antlers, and playing with squeaky toys. A fenced yard would be ideal for his energy. If no fence, daily exercise would be a must for him. He rides great in the car and would be a great dog for hikes and long walks. Don't let his age fool you.. this boy still has lots of energy and love to share. He would do best in a calmer home without a lot of people in and out. He does well with medium to large dogs, small dogs we would not recommend. He is not good with cats. Older/considerate kids would be best for him to play with since he is a solid boy. He seems to do best with women and is slow to warm up to men, but once he trusts you, you’re golden. He came to ODAAT after his human Mom passed away in their home. Deitz stayed by her side for days until they were found by family and sadly, the family was unable to keep him. Understandably so, he will be protective of your family. He would never want to lose you. When applying to adopt through ODAAT, please know that we take pride in placing our animals appropriately based on their needs and personality. We want the best family for them and the perfect fit for your family. All applications are  to choosing an adopter.. This process takes time and we do not adopt out on a "first come first served" basis. Applications are found on our website www.onedogatatime.us. Please watch for a welcome email so we can process your application. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 23, 2025, 7:52 am

🐾 Meet Oscar! 🐾 This handsome boy was found crying under a van during a storm, and thanks to a Good Samaritan, he’s now safe and ready to find his forever home. 💙 ✨ About Oscar: Young pup full of energy and love ⚡ Crate trained 🐕‍🦺 Great with kids, but still learning manners 👧👦 Loves other dogs! 🐶🐶 Enjoys walks, outdoor playtime, and then curling up on the couch for snuggles 🛋️💤 Cuddler extraordinaire 💕 Oscar is playful and can roughhouse with dogs close to his age, but he also has a big soft side. Once he’s had his fun, he’s happiest curled up in your lap soaking up affection. With his enthusiasm for life, he’ll thrive with a family who can give him structure, exercise, and plenty of love. 🐕 Ideal Home: Oscar would do best in an active home. A family ready to continue his training will help him grow into the amazing companion we already know he can be. We only transport them once adopted, in most instances, we can be available for a video call once an application has been approved. We are USDA certified, and WE PERSONALLY TRANSPORT OUR OWN adopted animals to meet their new families. We transport every 2-3 weeks. Our adoption fee includes the spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, Microchip, heartworm tested, Mississippi Health Certificate, and the transport service to get the new family pet to you ***Breed input is required for each platform but is not guaranteed to be accurate. We do not DNA test. We rescue animals from different situations. We discuss breed assignments with our vets to label them as accurately as possible.*** We are currently unable to adopt pets to ME and RI residents.

Story
Is it a hippo? Not exactly. Is it a bear? Well, that`s defiantly closer! This big and voluptuous girl is Panda! She is an absolute beauty inside and out with a personality you will not soon forget. Don`t let her size fool you. She LOVE to run and play! Squeaker toys are her favorite and she`s a pro at fetch. She knows how to sit and shake for her treats and does wonderful for her baths. She would do best in a home where she can be the center of attention and maybe even some kiddos to play with. She will need a little help getting onto a potty schedule in her new home along with some leash training. If you think Panda is the girl for you please feel free to apply for her at www.clearfieldcountyspca.org.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. King deserves a Christmas miracle. Could it be you? King is a tender-hearted 1-year-old bully mix who was abandoned and left to fend for himself. The kind person who found him is keeping him safe for now, but he can’t stay there forever. What he needs—what he deserves—is a soft place to land and a human to believe in him. Despite everything he’s been through, King is still full of hope. He’s a lively little guy who lights up for playtime, then burrows into blankets like he’s trying to wrap himself in the warmth he’s been missing. Because he spent so much time alone, he’ll need patient help with housetraining, but he tries so hard to get things right. His heart is in every effort. He plays well with dogs who don’t mind his puppyish enthusiasm, and he’d do best in a home without cats. He’s strong, a bit wiggly, and still learning his leash manners, but he offers something rare in return: the joy of watching a once-forgotten dog grow into the bright, steady soul he was meant to be.   We are unsure how he will do with small children so a meet and greet would be required. King isn’t just looking for a home. He’s looking for a chance. A chance to be loved. A chance to feel safe. A chance to finally belong. If you can open your heart and your home—fostering or adopting—King could have the Christmas he’s been waiting for.And you’ll gain a grateful companion who will treasure you in ways only a rescued dog can. King is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and on monthly heartworm and flea prevention.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ Click here for the ADOPTION APPLICATION if you are interested in adopting this pet. Applications are the first step in the adoption process. Please do not call or email simply to express interest. We are all volunteers and receiving your application saves us time and helps to determine the best match for both people and dogs.  We provide as much information as we currently have on each dog in their description. Story
Hi, I'm Tank! I'm a big softie, despite my tough-sounding name. I'm the perfect companion for those cozy nights in, always ready to snuggle up on the couch. I'm also great at making people smile, my sweetness is just infectious! I'm a good listener, too. You can tell me all about your day, and I'll just wag my tail in understanding. I do have a little quirk though - I'm quite protective over my food. But hey, who isn't a little protective over their favorite things? I'm just waiting for my forever home where I can share all this sweetness and warmth. Adopting me means gaining a loyal, loving friend who will always be there to brighten up your day. Why not let me bring some joy into your life?
