Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Joan of Barc was dumped on the side of the road in Alabama nearly dead. The vet said she was almost bred to death. She had heart-worms and various other injuries, but she's now HW free, spayed, and healthy! Because of her questionable former life she does not do well with cats, and is currently in training and getting better with dogs each time. She doesn’t know how to interact with them and gets over-excited and makes them uncomfortable. She LOVES humans, big and small. She's been around children and is amazing with all ages. Older kids would be better because she is strong and sometimes forgets her strength. She is house trained and crate trained; and along with her training on how to interact with other dogs, she is learning leash walking and other basic commands. She is very food motivated and extremely smart, picking up new training in no time. She also redirects from stressful situations very easily as long as you have a treat. :) She has an average amount of energy but her favorite pastime is chewing on water bottles and watching TV. She is a very gentle soul and the bestest girl. She was abused in her previous life and deserves to live in luxury the for the rest of it. She needs someone looking for a companion, but it doesn't matter what kind - family, adventure, couch potato- she can do it all. She just enjoys life now that it's not at the end of a chain. She's the bestest, sweetest doll baby and all she needs is a chance. Things she excels at: 🐶 Napping 🐶Snuggling 🐶 Helping with household chores 🐶 Zoomies 🐶Snacking Watch our Facebook video here If Joan would be the perfect addition to your family, please apply💜! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.CHARLESTON IS IN HIS FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN. CHARLESTON WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO PA ONCE HE IS ADOPTED!    This hunk is Charleston. He is a four year old Bulldog mix. He is the sweetest fun loving goofball. He is a big boy who loves attention. He wants you to pet him, and he wants to lean into you with his whole body. He does not meet a stranger in a person or dog. He loves playing in the backyard with his toys, and then lounging on the porch sunbathing. He gets excited to go anywhere. He will run to the door and wait for you to let him out- then he jumps right in the car. This adorable boy has the most stunning eyes. We believe Charleston has some hearing loss. He seems to hear some pitches, but either doesn’t hear the others or ignores them. He does good walking on a leash, is kennel trained, and house trained. He loves greatly- he will become your shadow. If he wants your attention he will whine/talk to you to let you know. Charleston is a big boy with still a lot of puppy energy so a home with older children would be best. This guy is amazing, and deserves the perfect forever home! He is fully vetted, neutered, and microchipped.  His adoption fee of $500 includes the transport to PA.  We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Charleston up north to his new family.   If you have any questions, please email us at:   newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com You can apply to adopt Charleston  here: www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 27, 2023, 10:48 am

Story
Meet Zane! Zane is a 55 lb gentle boy! He's also around a year old and a very playful pup. He's not scared of meeting new people, and loves giving hugs! Zane is also working on his leash walking and other manners. Zane would be fine adopted as a single dog. . He has met other pups without issues so he's flexible for most home environments. We don't know about cats though. He's a bit calmer than his brother Bucket but would still benefit from a family willing to expose him to new things and walk him through staying cool and calm. If Zane sounds like the perfect fit for you, please let us know at this link: dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form. From there, we'll forward your app to his foster home who will reach out to talk all things Zane and share more pictures/videos If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at http://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN PENNSYLVANIA AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. Looking for a kid-friendly dog?  Then Sapphire is your girl!   Sapphire is an approximately 6 to 8 year young love bug.  She was turned in to the high kill Philly ACCT shelter where she was rescued by CPAA.  Since she's been in foster care, she has received all of her vet care, including all vaccinations, a dental, and spaying; she is in great health!   Sapphire has proven to be a super people-friendly girl!  She loves all people, and she's GREAT with children of all ages!  She doesn't particularly like other dogs though, so a home without other pets would be best for her.  Sapphire has not been cat tested. Please open your heart and home to this adorable, sweet girl.  You won't be sorry!   To apply to foster or adopt Sapphire, go to https://www.hopedogs.org/adoption-application/?animal_name=Sapphire.

Story
This handsome boy is Chance and he is about 5-6 years old. Chance is looking for a new home as his owner can no longer take care of him due to health issues. He is fine with lounging around all day as long as you lounge with him. He really likes his people and gets anxious when left home alone. Chance has lived with cats in the past and has done fine with them. He has not lived with another dog, so he would do best in a home without other dogs. He does get excited and forgets his size, so a home without children would be best. Chance currently needs to eat wet food (or dry food that is soaked in warm water) due to having some dental issues. He also shouldn’t have hard chew toys/bones. He does love his soft toys though! Chance is neutered but needs to be updated on his shots. Chance would love a new best friend that can spend lots of time with him and provide him with a nice comfy place to relax. Chance is lovable and wants to please! If interested in giving Chance a loving home please contact Mariah @ mariahwazher@gmail.com *These are listings for pets not associated with Canine Rescue of Central PA (CRCPA). Story
What' s black and white, filled with greatness, and everybody's favorite? It's Oreo - but we are not talking about cookies! We are talking about one of our shelter residents commonly known as Oreo! Oreo was in a home for about 2.5 years and was returned due to no fault of his own. Oreo is about 7 years old and would really like to get back to the home life. Oreo is in training and the volunteers are helping him adjust again to being in the kennel. He is very smart and responding to his team. He has been a highlight of our volunteer's day and is always keeping us entertained. He has a blast romping in the play yard- playing fetch, tug, and performing tricks. Look no further for your adventure partner, co-pilot, snuggle buddy, and partner in crime. This guy knows how to make the best out of any event! - Car Rides? Yes, please! - Kiddos? Loves them! - Vet Trips? Why not! - Hiking? He's ready! - Meeting new people? Let's go! - Training games? Absolutely - and he comes with a paid trainer! The only thing Oreo is not fond of is other dogs or cats. While he has learned that he doesn't have to be reactive to all, there are still some that he just doesn't like. Oreo is asking for a family where he can be the only pet. No worries though, this guy is enough puppy sunshine to fill up your entire house and life! Neutered, micro-chipped, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives Oreo is all set to get adjusted in his forever home. He walks well on a leash, is house trained, and crate trained. To set up a time to meet this happy boy, email us at adopt@crcpa.org!

Someone out there is missing out on the bestest girl! Jackie Chan is a 1 year old, female, bulldog mix who is fully potty trained, fully crate trained, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines and preventatives. She is a super smart pup who listens very well to all basic commands, loves to play fetch, and walks well on a leash. She is kid friendly, loves to snuggle and give kisses, and enjoys a submissive puppy play partner. She is also very good about keeping herself occupied with a bone or toy while her humans are busy doing other things. Not sure how she would be around cats because her foster Momma doesn’t have any, but I would imagine she would be curious and want to play! Come meet Jackie in York, Pa…she is overdue for her forever family  We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. If interested in adopting, please submit an application online at www.pack9rescue.org. Story
T-tappy toes when excited R-relaxes next to her hooman I-intelligent little lady N-no bone left behind! K-keeper of the treats (sometimes she hoards them in her cage for a lil snack later on!) E-excited, energetic goofball T-tame and calm when she needs to be That’s TRINKET! This sweet girl is the perfect mix of zoomies and zzz’s. She’s kid friendly, and she’s also dog friendly, though she needs a little time to adjust and warm up to new dogs. Trinket is not a fan of cats or small dogs, though, due to her tendency to play rough. This “little” 60 pound lapdog is a bulldog mix, coming in at just under 2 years old. She’s very smart, and she already knows basic commands like sit, lay down, paw, other paw, leave it, go cage, and off. She also knows some key words, like “bone,” “toy,” and of course, her favorite, “treat!” She is house and crate trained, and she is really the perfect dog for anyone just starting out (or anyone at all!)—she’s past the destructive puppy phase, she’s already well trained, she’s full of love, and she’s incredibly eager to please. What’s not to love?? Although her foster family is loving the time spent with this little angel, Trinket would love even more to find her forever family! We don’t know what her past was like, or who mutilated her poor ears, but just one interaction with Trinket shows you that she doesn’t let any of it bother her! She’s the perfect angel, and her lack of ears means her halo sits perfectly on her head without anything to get in its way! Trinket is spayed, UTD on vaccines and preventatives, and currently being fostered in Camp Hill, PA. Apply to meet this precious baby today! Story
Introducing the most handsome boy, Loki!🐕 Loki is a 10 month-old, 52lb Boxer/Rotti/Bulldog mix that is ready to meet his forever family. He is sweet, snuggly, and loves to play! He is such a good boy that deserves a home of his own that will appreciate him for the amazing, intelligent boy that he is💕 This good boy is great with other dogs. He loves to play with them, go for walks, and snuggle up with the other pups in his foster home. He is very smart and trainable and LOVES to learn. He is very toy-driven (but not possessive of them!) and his favorites are his jolly ball and nylabone!🎾 Loki has already been through basic obedience training, walks well on a leash and settles well in his crate with a nylabone. He was adopted out at 9 weeks old, but unfortunately he was returned at 9 months because the cat in the home didn’t like his playfulness 🥺 he isn’t aggressive but didn’t respect her cues to “back off,” so now he is back with his foster mom and hoping his next home is his FOREVER. 🏡 Sweet Loki is looking for a home with another playful pup or two and a fenced in yard for romping and sunbathing! He is easy to please, and is still just a puppy with a whole lot of love to give🐶 If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at http://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN PENNSYLVANIA AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. 🦇CASSIAN🖤 Cass is a 5 month old, petite boxer mix that was pulled from death row at a rural shelter. He was malnourished and pitiful, but after lots of TLC he is ready for his forever home! 🏡 This adorable little boy is undersized despite his big head! At 5 months old, he is only 20lbs, and has the cutest wrinkly face that his foster mom says is to die for! He is the sweetest puppy that has ever existed: submissive, snuggly, and great with every dog and cat in the house. He is his foster mom’s shadow and always had to be in the room she is in, playing with other pups before snuggling as close to her as he can get 🥰 Cass is genuinely the friendliest dog in the world. He loves every person and animal he meets, but he is EXTREMELY playful so he needs siblings and a family that have the energy to match his! He wants to play, snuggle, rinse and repeat🐾 Your new bestie is fully crate trained, working on house training, and walks well on leash! He is a 10/10 good boy and can’t wait to join your family 😍 If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at http://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN PENNSYLVANIA AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED.
