Jack is the perfect dog for the slow walking slow talking type person. No rush to this guy and really prefers to sit back and access the situation before he joins in. Not a fan of crowds so no bars or honky tonks for him. He is around 4 year old male dog (guesstimating 40 ish lbs of cool hand Luke type guy.Jack is a low energy dog. He is not a running buddy. He’s very happy to hang out at home on the couch with you. He’s not a party dog and would not thrive in a home where people are in and out constantly. He has low drives for food, toy and ball. He walks well on a slip lead until boy brain kicks in and he smells somewhere to mark but a light leash correction has him back on a loose leash. He has on leash obedience. He’s quiet in the crate and hasn’t shown any desire to bark at outside noises while he’s inside or outside. He does shed like all short hair dogs but keeping him on a 4-6 week grooming schedule minimizes it to almost nonexistent. General  Knox is a very outgoing, handsome , 2 year old, 74 pound  American Bulldog mix. This hunk of a dog lost his home due to one of his  being incarcerated.    So very sad that this big boy has lost his home and the man who loved him.  General Knox is so very friendly and still has his young dog energy motor running full speed ahead. NO OTHER DOGS for General Knox.  We are looking for a youngish,  active family with a fenced yard and lots of playtime and attention to give him. He’s also quite strong, so very young children or elderly people might not be a good fit.  General Knox would do best as an only dog in the home or maybe a submissive female dog that is not an alpha or dominant.  He has not been tested with cats but we know he is housebroken and crate trained.  Gen. Ball!  Did someone say ball?!  There has never been a dog that loves her tennis balls more than our beautiful Kiki.  This adorable 6 year old American Bully lives for her tennis balls.  She currently has 14 in her kennel!  When Kiki came to our rescue after her owner was no longer able to care for her, first thing we started on was putting weight on her. She is currently 42 lbs. but her stocky frame should be a little heavier.  She lived for years with a senior dog so she needs to spend her future days with an easy going dog if you have one in your family.  Her silly and goofy personality has stolen the hearts of all the rescue volunteers. One day while playing outside, she began to explore the toy basket for yet another ball.  When she finally found one in the very bottom, she popped her head up with a Frisbee around her neck...see attached pictures!  Obviously, going through the Frisbee was the shortest route to her golden tennis ball!  Kiki is fully vetted and in search for her forever home.  But you MUST have tennis balls! Jet was at the shelter for months and was 24 hours away from being euthanized when we pulled him! He is a super sweet boy who loves fetch and staring into the eyes of his humans. He is dog reactive and needs to be in an only-dog home. Not yet cat or kid tested.
