This is our sweet precious Lucy. Lucy had an owner but her owner used to turn her out every day to wander the streets. A friend of the rescue would pick her up when she saw her and bring her home. She feared that Lucy would get hit by a car so one day when she returned her home, she asked the owners if they would surrender her to a rescue. They agreed and Lucy arrived here happy as a clam. She's a big girl, not fat, just a big girl. She's a very gentle big girl, sleeps in my bed with all the little ones sleeping on top of her! She loves children and cats. She was heart worm positive when she arrived but we have cleared all of that up. Lucy maybe a little older at 8 years but she has the energy of a puppy. She loves to play all day with the rest of the shelter dogs. She is spayed, fully vaccinated and house broken. She needs her forever home, could that be you? ADOPTION FEE $300

Lisa is gentle as a lamb. She loves hugs and kisses and tries her very best to make you happy. How could you not love a baby with a smile as wide as her sweet face?Lisa was abandoned on the side of the road with her sister Marge. The temperatures were in the high 90's and these girls had neither food nor water! Someone just left them on the side of the road to die. We tried our darndest to ignore their plight but when I drove by a second time and saw how terrified and hungry they were, we had to help. We brought them food and water in buckets and prayed they would be friendly (since I had heard all the stories about pit bulls). I admit they were leery of us too but as soon as they had a few bites they became our best buddies. Lisa was so thin, and something had caused some serious cuts, but she has never even paused in her outpouring of love and gratitude. What a precious girl. Lisa is especially extra gentle and innocent and loves nothing more than sitting beside you, knowing you are near.Lisa loves kisses and belly rubs, running wide open, and treats. She will make a devoted fur baby to a family that does not have cats or chickens. Marge looks you straight in the eye and searches your face to see exactly how she can make you happy. She is working on sitting, staying, and lying down. Ben is a sweet, ever so handsome and an independent boy who loves to be near you (he gets SO excited when we come home) but can equally occupy himself. He’s house trained, crate trained and a great eater! He is curious for life, and would likely do best with a home or space with a fence. We’ve not had to crate him, and have had no issues. He’s got a funny personality, a silly howl (only comes out once in a while, definitely not an issue) and is basically a dream.Ben has received the ProHeart 12 shot, which means you don’t have to worry about heartworm preventative for 12 months from the day they received the shot. She takes treats gently, and while she sleeps in her crate at night, she would love to snuggle in bed with you too. Tulip is gentle and friendly with dogs of all sizes. Tulip is house-trained and doesn’t mess when left unattended. She’s a big fan of giving kisses and loves playing outside with her toys to burn off her boundless energy.
