Poseidon 💥 Look at this big blue baby! Poseidon is available for adoption at City of McMinnville Animal Control. Poseidon was surrendered earlier this year with his siblings. He's a young pitbull mix and will need to be neutered prior to adoption. He's a happy dude and is doing his best to adjust to a new lifestyle in the shelter. Poseidon enjoyed interacting with people and dogs today. He's a typical pitty- a rambunctious velcro dog! If you're looking for an adventure buddy, Poseidon is your guy. Check him out at City AC!

Story
** Meet Heff – The Loyal, No-Nonsense Couch King ** At 7 years old and 90 pounds of Catahoula/American Bulldog charm, Heff is not here for the hustle. After losing his beloved person, Heff is looking for a soft landing spot—a calm, quiet home where he can enjoy his golden years in peace and comfort. Heff is the canine equivalent of a grumpy old man with a heart of gold. He’s the “get off my lawn” guy who just wants snacks, a nap, and a little peace and quiet. He’s not here for chaos, kids, cats, or canines—he wants to be your one and only. Heff thrives in a mellow environment with a low-traffic household and a fenced backyard where he can do what he does best: watch the clouds, judge the squirrels, and perfect his nap schedule. Don’t mistake his crusty charm for indifference. If you're his person, you're the center of his universe. Heff is a true Velcro dog—devoted, cuddly, and happiest by your side (especially if there are snacks involved). He's low-key, crate-free, and doesn’t need constant entertainment. In fact, he’d prefer you don’t have a revolving door of guests or an active social calendar. No athletes, please—Heff firmly believes all vigorous exercise should be watched from the couch. Heff’s dream match? A quiet, adult-only home with a fellow homebody who appreciates the finer things in life: A comfy sofa ** A well-timed snack ** Comfortable silence ** A yard for leisurely strolls ** No drama, no frills, just love Heff learns fast, could use a little leash work, and is okay being left out of a crate—just don’t forget the snacks. He swears they tie the whole room together. If you’re looking for a big-hearted, big-bodied, big-snoring best friend who will adore you with quiet intensity, Heff is ready to be your everything. Just bring the snacks. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please apply online, at https://bigfluffydogs.com/adopt/adoption-application/ then email Debbie@BigFluffyDogs.com. Our main website, www.bigfluffydogs.com has more information about us and the rescue process. NOTE TO EMAILERS FROM PETFINDER: WE DO NOT RESPOND TO EMAIL INQUIRIES WITHOUT AN APPLICATION. WE REGRET WE CANNOT RESPOND TO EVERY EMAIL, BUT UNLESS YOU FILL OUT AN APPLICATION, WE DO NOT KNOW YOU EXIST. All known information about an individual dog is provided in its listing. We do our best to provide accurate information, but adopters should understand that each home is different and the dog may behave differently in a new home. Dogs are creatures of their environment and you help make the dog what it will be. Homes considering adopting a puppy must be prepared for 1.) Flexible schedules for potty training. Puppies can only hold it for one hour per month of age (i.e. a 4-month-old puppy can only go 4 hours without a potty break). 2.) Crate training until the puppy is at least one year old to prevent chewing on inappropriate things when you can't supervise. 3.) Socialization. The more positive and varying experiences as a puppy the better, both in and out of your home. 4.) Puppy behavior and life stages are equivalent to a human toddler. It takes at least a full year to have a calmer, well-adjusted dog. Patience is required and when your dog's behavior is a positive experience for you and those around you, your patience will be rewarded ten-fold, for years to come. Please do not consider adopting a puppy if you have not thoroughly thought through the pros and cons of having one. So many people end up returning them after 3-5 months because they didn't realize the amount of work involved in raising a puppy. Patience, appropriate toys, socialization, and obedience training are all musts. All are time-consuming and can be expensive. All dogs require supervision with children and obedience training. Adopters that want to have good dogs must be prepared to put the time and effort into training a dog. Any dog requires work and effort, but a well trained, well-socialized dog is more than worth the effort to get them there.

Story
Bulma is a 3 year old, 70 lb American Bulldog. She is a super happy, very friendly dog. Her friendliness, however, doesn’t necessarily extend to other dogs. She can be a bit of a bully when she thinks she can get away with it. Bulma was raised outside with her brother (who was recently adopted). They had food, water, shelter and love from their human, but they were never allowed to live inside. When their mom became too ill to continue to care for them, she, regrettably, surrendered them to rescue. Bulma is affectionate and energetic. Her foster recommends she be placed in a home where she can be an only dog and get plenty of exercise. Her original human reported that she also had a cat that frequently spent time behind the fence with the dogs, but this hasn’t been tested and verified since entering rescue. Bulma hasn’t been tested with children but we have no reason to think she would be anything other than her sweet, friendly self. She might be a little much for very small children, since she is not bashful about showing love (just like every other Bulldog we’ve ever met). She needs some training to learn her doggy manners and she is very eager to please. She will be tons of fun, laughs, and kisses on day one! FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. The adoption fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea/Tick/Heartworm Prevention, and Sheltering. Adult Dogs are Heartworm Tested and Treated as Needed. FOCCAS does not DNA test or guarantee breed. If adopted locally and/or adopted in person, her fee is $275. If transport is needed, there are additional fees to cover department of agriculture requirements and transport, the additional fee adds $300 each to the adoption fee (any location out of Tennessee, East Coast, Great Lakes or New England regions)Thank You for Your Interest in Adopting a Canine Companion from Foccas-tn.org!To Apply Please Copy and Paste to Your Browser:https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=hb2428&method=online_form_html&formid=41LOCATED IN CROSSVILLE, CUMBERLAND COUNTY, TN.
