Meet Change Female DOB: April 12, 2026 Weight: 5 lbs (current — still growing)** Expected Size: Medium when fully grown Breed: Terrier Mix Spayed (Fixed): Pending (age-appropriate) Vaccines: Pending (age-appropriate) Microchipped Healthy & Adoption-Ready Personality, Breed Info & Expectations Change is an adorable little puppy with a sweet personality, playful curiosity, and loving nature. At only a few months old, she is still learning about the world around her and enjoys affection, companionship, toys, playtime, and exploring new experiences with excitement and confidence. She has the fun-loving puppy energy people instantly fall in love with while also enjoying cuddles and closeness with her humans. Change is still very young and growing, making this an especially important stage for socialization, confidence-building, structure, and positive life experiences that will help shape her into a happy and well-balanced adult dog. This dog is a loving, confident, and people-oriented companion with a wonderful balance of playful energy and affectionate loyalty. They enjoy being part of the family and thrive when included in everyday activities, whether it's going for walks, playing outdoors, or relaxing beside their favorite people after a fun-filled day. As an American Bulldog / American Staffordshire Terrier Mix, this breed combination is known for intelligence, athleticism, and an unwavering devotion to their family. They are eager to please, highly trainable, and form deep, lasting bonds with the people they love. With proper guidance, positive reinforcement, and continued socialization, they develop into confident, well-mannered companions. These dogs enjoy having both physical exercise and mental stimulation as part of their daily routine. Regular walks, interactive play, training sessions, and opportunities to learn new skills help keep them happy and fulfilled. While they have an active side, they are equally content relaxing indoors and spending quality time with their family. This breed mix would thrive in a home prepared for: Daily exercise and mental enrichment Continued positive reinforcement training Structure, consistency, and routine Plenty of companionship and family interaction Opportunities for socialization and new experiences A lifelong commitment to their emotional and physical well-being With love, leadership, and consistency, an American Bulldog / American Staffordshire Terrier Mix becomes an incredibly loyal, affectionate, and devoted lifelong companion who is happiest simply being with the people they love. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Many rescue puppies come from uncertain beginnings and may not have had structure, socialization, or training before arriving at rescue. Even very young puppies require significant guidance and supervision to properly learn how to navigate life in a home environment. Puppies are not automatically trained simply because they are young. The rescue environment itself also does not always allow for extensive one-on-one training. While we work hard to provide safety, basic structure, and socialization, adopters should expect to continue all training and development after adoption. Adopting a puppy means being prepared for: Potty training and accidents Teething and chewing phases Crate training and leash training Nighttime wakeups and supervision Jumping, barking, and playful puppy behavior Ongoing socialization and confidence-building Daily exercise, enrichment, and structure Routine veterinary visits and vaccine boosters Financial commitment throughout the dog’s lifetime Because Change is still very young and small, extra care should also be taken around: Larger animals Rough play Stairs and jumping Unsafe chewing hazards Open doors or unsecured outdoor spaces Change will benefit from: Positive reinforcement training Daily structure and routine Continued socialization and exposure Mental stimulation and enrichment Patience, consistency, and supervision Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 days to decompress 3 weeks to learn your routine 3 months to fully feel at home With patience, guidance, and commitment, puppies like Change grow into wonderful lifelong companions. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Owning a puppy is a lifelong commitment that includes training, exercise, routine veterinary care, financial responsibility, and emotional commitment throughout every stage of life. Change will need: Ongoing puppy training and guidance Routine veterinary visits and vaccine boosters Preventative care including flea, tick, and heartworm prevention Proper nutrition and growth monitoring Daily exercise, enrichment, and companionship A safe, stable, indoor living environment Puppies require regular veterinary care throughout their first year, including booster vaccines, wellness exams, and spay surgery when age-appropriate. Because Change is still very young, adopters should also be prepared for the normal puppy phases that come with growing and learning, including chewing, teething, accidents, testing boundaries, and continued social development. Change is an indoor family dog and is not to be chained or left outside. He enjoys being around people and gets along well with other dogs. He has a friendly, outgoing nature and truly enjoys being included in daily family life. He is active and loves long walks, outdoor time, and opportunities to explore. After exercise, Iggy settles into a calm, affectionate companion who enjoys attention, petting, and relaxing close to his people. He bonds quickly with those who show him kindness and consistency. Iggy is social with both people and dogs. He is currently used to eating alone, as he has been fed separately since he was young. Because of this, he may do best with structured feeding management, especially in multi-dog homes, until fully assessed and adjusted. As an American Bulldog Mix, Iggy is expected to be loyal, intelligent, and deeply devoted to his family. This breed type is known for strong bonds, affection, and a desire to stay close to their people. With structure and guidance, they become incredibly loyal companions. Iggy would thrive in a home prepared for: Daily exercise and long walks Continued positive reinforcement training Structure and routine Social interaction and companionship Respect for feeding boundaries if needed A lifelong commitment to his emotional and physical well-being Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Like all rescue dogs, Iggy may need time to adjust to a new home, routine, and environment. Even well-socialized dogs benefit from patience and consistency during transitions. He may need time to fully settle into household structure, especially around feeding routines and multi-dog interactions, but he responds very well to guidance and builds trust quickly. Story
Sporty Spots is a very handsome Saint Bernard American Bulldog mix that weighs about 80 pounds! He absolutely loves people and loves to get attention and belly rubs! He will sit with his head in your lap getting all the head scratches for hours if you let him. He is a goofball and is sure to make you laugh and smile everyday.  Spots is a super friendly and outgoing dog. He is good with children that are aged 14 and over! He loves toys, and he also loves to play in water. He is the kind of dog that would love to play in the sprinklers and have his own little pool he can play in. He really loves to play with balls, he will chase them all day. Spots would do best in a home that has a backyard for him to run around in.  Spots does well with some dogs that are his size or larger. Spots will need to go to a home that has a strong handler and has owned large dogs before. So far, he has learned to sit, stay, and lay down.  Overall, Spots is an amazing dog that is waiting for his forever home. He is very loyal and very friendly with other people. He also is very protective of his home and loves to keep patrol of his yard! He loves toys and water and would make the perfect travel buddy! Story
Hi, I'm Montgomery, a 5-year-old American Bulldog with a big heart, a playful spirit, and a name so fancy you might think I come with my own estate. The truth is, while "Montgomery" sounds very distinguished, I'm perfectly happy trading royal duties for playtime, adventures, and hanging out with my favorite people. I'm a social guy who loves being part of the action and am always ready to join whatever fun is happening. Whether it's a walk, a game, or simply spending time together, I like to be involved. I bring plenty of enthusiasm to life, and I'm looking for a family that will help me channel all that Montgomery momentum into exciting new experiences. If you've been searching for a loyal sidekick with charm, personality, and enough love to fill a castle, I'm ready to make your acquaintance-preferably as a permanent member of your court.*Qualifies for Pets for Patriots programPlease email Adoptions@saltlakecounty.gov with questions Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Black Weight: 97 Age: 5yrs 0mths 2wks
