Story
Meet Brick!Brick is a 2-year-old brindle pit bull with a big, blocky head and an even bigger heart. This sweet guy loves nothing more than shredding his favorite toys and settling in with a peanut butter–filled lickimat. Those simple joys make his tail wag every time!Brick is dog friendly and had a blast playing with another darling pit bull in the yard. He’s social, affectionate, and truly thrives on love and attention from his people. On leash, Brick can pull hard when he’s eager to get where he wants to go — but with some consistent training and guidance, he’ll be a great walking partner in no time.Brick will do best with an adopter who is experienced with resource guarding and can thoughtfully manage feeding time and high-value treats by separating him from other pets and children during those moments. With the right structure, Brick is a good boy with a good heart who just wants to feel safe, loved, and included.Brick is ready to give his whole heart to the right home — could that be you? Come meet and adopt Brick today!

Story
Meet Heinz – A Distinguished Gentleman With a Heart of Gold Heinz is a 12-year-old, 52-pound American Bulldog/Boxer mix with a stunning brindle coat, a gentle spirit, and the sweetest old-soul eyes. This handsome senior found himself without a home through no fault of his own, and we are incredibly grateful he’s now part of the CAWS family, where he’s receiving the love and care he has always deserved.Heinz may be a bit underweight, but he’s slowly and steadily filling out with proper nutrition and TLC. He also has some age-related arthritis, which is kept comfortably managed with daily medication. This lovely gentleman is fully house-trained and crate-trained, though he rarely needs the crate—his foster family works from home and he is a calm, respectful companion around the house. Ideally, Heinz would love a retirement home with a fully fenced yard and someone who is home often—retired adopters or work-from-home families would be a dream fit for him. With proper introductions, Heinz gets along wonderfully with other dogs and enjoys their company. More than anything, he adores being close to his people—lounging on the couch, napping nearby, or snuggling in bed if you’ll let him. And yes, he’s an excellent passenger in the car!Heinz is safe and loved now, but he’s still waiting for the family who will make his golden years truly shine. This magnificent, gentle soul has so much love left to give. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion to cherish and spoil, Heinz just may be your perfect match.Reach out to schedule a meet and greet—Heinz can’t wait to rest his head in a forever home of his very own. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $100. Story
Sporty Spots is a very handsome Saint Bernard American Bulldog mix that weighs about 80 pounds! He absolutely loves people and loves to get attention and belly rubs! He will sit with his head in your lap getting all the head scratches for hours if you let him. He is a goofball and is sure to make you laugh and smile everyday.  Spots is a super friendly and outgoing dog. He is good with children that are aged 14 and over! He loves toys, and he also loves to play in water. He is the kind of dog that would love to play in the sprinklers and have his own little pool he can play in. He really loves to play with balls, he will chase them all day. Spots would do best in a home that has a backyard for him to run around in.  Spots does well with some dogs that are his size or larger. Spots will need to go to a home that has a strong handler and has owned large dogs before. So far, he has learned to sit, stay, and lay down.  Overall, Spots is an amazing dog that is waiting for his forever home. He is very loyal and very friendly with other people. He also is very protective of his home and loves to keep patrol of his yard! He loves toys and water and would make the perfect travel buddy!
