At 11 months old, she is enjoying the best of both worlds—she still has the playful spirit and enthusiasm of a puppy while beginning to mature into a wonderful companion. Nina loves being around people and enjoys spending her days playing, exploring, and making new friends. She has an upbeat attitude and brings joy wherever she goes. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Many rescue dogs come from uncertain beginnings and may not have had structure, socialization, or formal training before arriving at rescue. Because of this, most rescue dogs arrive with only basic training at best, and some may have had no formal training at all. The rescue environment itself does not always allow for extensive one-on-one training. While we work hard to provide safety, structure, socialization, and basic guidance, adopters should expect to continue training and support after adoption. Like all rescue dogs, Nina may need time to adjust to a new home and routine. Patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement will help her settle in and build confidence as she learns her new surroundings. Nina will need: Daily walks, exercise, and interaction Continued training and guidance Routine veterinary care and wellness exams Preventative care including flea, tick, and heartworm prevention Proper nutrition and weight management Mental stimulation and enrichment A safe, stable, indoor living environment Consistent veterinary care, proper nutrition, emotional stability, and daily companionship are all essential to helping Nina thrive in her future home.
