Mister is a distinguished gentleman at about 2.5 years old - he is old enough to have learned to appreciate the finer things in life and young enough to indulge in fabulous zoomies when the feeling hits! Mister knows what he likes, and knows what is a definite "no, thank you". He can also let loose and be the silliest goober you'll meet. A chauffeured car ride to go shopping for toys? YES. He will pick out his toy, carry it to the register, and give it to the cashier! An overnight stay on any kind of boat? Nope, he prefers to stay on solid ground. Visiting the dog park or Paws for a Beer? Yes, as long as he can bring his emotional support “place”. Bicycles or motorcycles? How uncivilized! No thanks. Snuggles fireside with hooman cuddles? YES. Cats, fowl, or rodents? Tolerable with reminders, but preferably, pass. Mister also has an extensive educational background, majoring in the following subjects: - Comfort of a Crate - Muzzle Mastery - eCollar Ettiquette - Profound Positive Reinforcement - Loose Leash Logistics Mister does not currently live with children, but has lived with them before and been around them in public settings and is very polite and mindful. Mister comes with an education and piles of learned manners, all of which will be taught to his adopting family. Many of his skills are built in to play style games that include things like “Yours, Mine”, “Place”, & “Tug”. If you'd like to learn more about Mister, please fill out an application and start the conversation with his staff, I mean -foster- today!

**This dog is NOT in the direct care of Happy Tails Happy Homes. However, we are assisting in his rehoming. If you are interested, please fill out an application through our website** This handsome 4-year-old boy is full of personality and charm! Weighing in at approximately 115 lbs, he's a big bundle of love and fun. He’s playful, energetic, and always up for a game of fetch or a car ride adventure. At the end of the day, he loves nothing more than curling up close to his favorite human for some well-deserved rest. He’s both crate trained and potty trained, and his intelligence shines through—he’s a quick learner who picks up on things fast. He was neutered after turning two and has since grown into a loyal and affectionate companion. However, he does best as the only pet in the home, as he prefers all the attention for himself. If you’re looking for a devoted, fun-loving dog who will be your ride-or-die best buddy, he might just be the perfect match.

Story
This sweet angel is Lizzie! You don’t want to miss out on this big girl with an even bigger heart! We believe Lizzie is an XL American Bully mix—of course, with rescue, that’s just our best guess! At 5 years old, she’s still a big goofball who brings laughs and love everywhere she goes. Especially with her famous happy hops. She just hops and hops around the house when she’s happy to see you! Gosh, my cheeks hurt just thinking about how big I’d be smiling if I came home to that every day! Maybe there’s some bunny DNA in there? Lizzie is smart as a whip—she knows sit and even shake! She never says no to a snack (like, ever), which makes training fun and easy for everyone involved. And by everyone, we mean kids too! Lizzie recently met a baby and an 8-year-old and definitely prefers the older kiddos who are steady on their feet. She was so gentle taking treats from the 8-year-old, and they ended their meet-up with a cuddle sesh on the couch. Her cuddles? Immaculate. Though she does think she’s a lap dog… classic Lizzie! See her adorable, heartwarming video here: https://youtu.be/zzlwNqUrT_I?si=wBvitVgcUxGS0ZpE Bath time? No problem! She’s a champ and enjoys the extra pampering. She’s fully housebroken, trusted to free roam, and has never been destructive (even with toys!). At night, she cozies up in bed, but she’s also crate trained and does well when crated. Lizzie is still working on her leash skills, so a home with a yard would be ideal while she perfects her walk game. She’s a big girl who loves to sniff around, sunbathe on the porch, and chill nearby while you sip your morning coffee or putter around the garden. Wherever you are, Lizzie just wants to be part of it. She's that kind of dog—the one who makes everything better just by being there. To set Lizzie up for success, she’s looking for an experienced handler who can confidently guide her in her next chapter. While she adores her people, Lizzie is looking to be the one and only pet in the home—a queen without competition! She thrives in a calm, structured environment where she can feel safe, loved, and totally doted on (her favorite thing). Ready to welcome a lovable, goofy, sunbathing, ride-or-die girl into your life? Lizzie's waiting with a heart full of love and the best happy hops you've ever seen. Story
Holly is full of joy and light! She is a bouncy bean, hip hopping everywhere! I think she would prefer to just bounce everywhere instead of walking. She has never met a stranger— she just wanted to play with every dog she met within seconds. Holly loves toys so much, especially big soft ones that don’t fit in her mouth so she looks super silly. She was making everyone at the rescue laugh so hard, I’m sure it was the best part of the day. But my favorite thing about her would have to be how she gets the zoomies with her toys. After she zooms she will roll over on her back and just roll all over her toys. It’s so funny! She loves to chew on them and continue rubbing her back all in the grass. Holly is too cute to handle. Holly’s favorite thing ever was probably meeting her new teenage best friend. She was begging for booty scratches, and let her new friend use her booty as little bongos! She loved it! Are you ready to meet her? She’s ready for you! Watch Holly here: https://youtu.be/z0PKEgMzHuU?si=Sv6kysLM-_89kcGn Holly has some basic knowledge of sit and come. She has good leash manners from working on them here at the rescue so she will be perfect and ready to go to her new home. She even knows drop it! Her favorite toys are sticks or anything rubber. She loves to fetch them, and then depot to the ground and roll all over them! I call these her “happy drops”. She loves to use her mouth when she’s playing so older kids who know it’s just all fun and games would be perfect for her. She is quiet in her crate and lets you take her toys from her with no problem! Holly is dog friendly but she likes to keep her circle tight, lol! She has been in many play groups, she just needs friends that match her vibe! We could see her in a home with other puppy pals who appreciate a little rowdy play! Holly prefers a friend who appreciates her bouncy nature and style. Probably a confident male companion would be best! Holly is ready to find her furever family who will appreciate everything she has to offer! From her bouncies to her love of booty scratches. She is a quality gal! Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. Story
That face that you fell for is the happy-go-lucky heartthrob we call Charlie. He is the kind of dog that meets the world with a big ol’ smile and all the wiggle-wag one dog can physically create. He is a goofball with bouncy joy, the cutest charm, and some amazing cuddles. Charlie is estimated to be just over one-year-old, he weighs 50-pounds, and we think he is a bit of a lab/bulldog mix but truthfully we can’t say for sure given he is a rescue. The only test I could run showed he is 100% sunshine and sweetness. See for yourself then come back to read more- https://youtu.be/sQRj9YmGuG4 Charlie is a friendly boy that makes it hard not to fall for him immediately. After I spent the day with him I didn’t want him to go- I had fallen for him. He is instantly affectionate and melts into a puddle of belly rub seeking butter. If he doesn’t melt you will feel him lean into you for hugs, and he will even let you scoop him up for an extra sweet cuddle. This guy’s happy energy is contagious and that doesn’t stop with people, he is just as thrilled to make new dog friends as he is to be by your side. The afternoon we spent with Charlie we introduced him to a wide variety of dogs to get a feel for his play style and the types of dogs he enjoys most. It didn’t take long at all for us to be impressed with how friendly and welcoming he was. Even when other dogs came in a little hot or pushy, Charlie handled it with grace. With the right dog, an equally bouncy, playful dog, he showed us he loves a bit of bouncy, physical play but it isn’t his constant. He was comfortable enough to lay down beside brand-new dogs a sign of total trust. He’s the type who only joins in play when invited and isn’t going to push his way in as a third wheel or shut down the fun for them. He isn’t going to cause a stir but will always try to help keep the vibes tuned to fun-loving, calm joy. Charlie does need some leash work, he has the basics down and honestly I feel like I am betraying him to say such a thing because it didn’t bother me one bit. All I could see was a happy boy who was just so excited to explore the world! The more he gets to experience and enjoy the better he will be at pacing himself . That and some practice (and maybe a few treats to reward him for checking-in and walking by your side), he will learn quickly. He is a smart boy, eager to please, and already shows how well he responds when guided gently. He will bond fast and deep with his people. During the time we spent with him, the first person who interacted with him as his handler walked out of the yard, he stayed by the gate waiting- a loyal love bug through and through. Because of that devotion, he may miss you when you go at first, its natural, but with time and routine he will settle into knowing his favorite people always come home. Charlie would do best in a home with a yard and another playful, medium-energy dog to run and romp with. He could adjust to apartment living once his leash manners are polished as long as he gets plenty of playtime and adventures to meet his mental and physical needs. No cats for Charlie though, his eager friendliness does not vibe with cats. We all know cats- if you’re too eager they don’t care for you and that goes for dogs too. Charlie gets to focus his love and happiness towards people and dogs. If you’re looking for a happy, loving, goofy companion who’ll make every day so much better, Charlie’s your guy. One look into that glowing, goofy face and you’ll know -his boy was made to love you. Ready to welcome some sunshine into your life? Story
💙 Meet Alfred – King of the Sploots, Master of the Snuggles, and Certified Big Baby 💙 If you’re ready for a dog who is basically a big, lovable couch potato with legs, say hello to Alfred — the snuggliest, splootiest, smooshiest boy to ever exist. With his big ol’ bulldog head, adorable brindle spots, and one blue eye and one brown eye, Alfred looks like someone sprinkled magic on a teddy bear and brought it to life. See for yourself in his video! https://youtu.be/WE0VFBzlGLA?feature=shared Alfred is around 6 years old and built like a loaf of love — thick, soft, and made for cuddles. We think he’s an English bulldog, Pittie mix but, we can’t be sure since he’s a rescue! His signature move is the sploot (legs stretched all the way out behind him like a frog), and he’ll plop down wherever he feels comfy, often with a dramatic sigh like he just ran a marathon (he did not). He’s a big fan of AC, squishy beds, and slow strolls that end in snacks and praise. He’s an absolute dream with kids — gentle, calm, and super affectionate. Alfred sits sweetly for treats, gives the softest little kisses, and happily soaks up attention like a big squishy sponge. He loves being part of the family, especially if that includes belly rubs, baby talk, and lounging indoors with his favorite humans. Cats? No problem! Alfred did wonderfully with feline friends — polite, calm, and respectful. He’s got that “you do your thing, I’ll do mine” energy when it comes to kitties, which makes him a great match for homes with chill, confident cats. With other dogs, Alfred prefers to keep things low-key. He’s not really into playing or roughhousing — he’s more of a vibe guy. He does well with calm dogs and can share space without issue, but he’s also totally content being your one-and-only cuddle companion. He’s not here for the drama — just the snacks, snuggles, and soft places to nap. Alfred walks on leash with enthusiasm (he’s a big boy, after all!), but he responds well to gentle guidance and positive encouragement. He’s already shown improvement with some simple leash training, and with a little patience, he’ll happily strut by your side like the handsome prince he is. He’s crate trained and loves being inside — especially when there’s air conditioning and a cozy spot to sprawl out in. Alfred isn’t the type of pup who wants to go on grand adventures or spend hours outdoors. He’s more of a “let’s chill at home and binge-watch cartoons” kind of guy — which makes him perfect for a family that loves lazy Sundays and cuddle time. Alfred would thrive in a calm home where he can decompress, get lots of love, and enjoy a routine. He might be a little unsure in new places at first, but once he settles in, his affectionate, goofy, lovable personality really shines through. He’s got so much love to give — all he needs is someone to give it to. If you’re dreaming of a gentle, sweet, squishy-faced best friend who will happily nap next to your kids, give the softest kisses, respect your cat’s boundaries, and make you laugh every single day with his ridiculous sploots — Alfred is your boy. One blue eye. One brown eye. One giant heart. Come meet Alfred and let this sweet snuggle king wiggle his way into your home — and your heart. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Hard costs for a healthy dog range from $804-$920; heartworm-positive dogs or those needing specialized care can exceed $2,000+. Adoption fees help cover a portion of these expenses, but without government funding, we rely on fundraising to bridge the gap—ranging from $100–$1,000+ per dog. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test or $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions Access to multiple dog trainers in your area, along with $40 off of your first session of in person dog training through Rover Training 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! The Greater Houston area faces one of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the U.S. We’re a nonprofit on a mission—to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome dogs at risk, while promoting spay/neuter outreach in the community. MEET BILLY THE BOXER MIX! If you're looking for a quirky, energetic dog, a ball of energy ready to rumble and roll, Billy is it! He is a fun-loving 1-1/2-year-old Boxer-Staffie mix who is ready to rock your world. He's just a puppy and could use some leash training, but he's got a lot of good things going for him. First of all, he's unique and funny - he's got big floppy ears, and one is usually up and the other down. Secondly, he's good with other dogs. He was basically raised in an animal shelter so got used to having other pups around. He absolutely needs an active person or people and a yard would be a plus so he could run around, and then take a snooze. It's not mandatory, though, as long as you are active. He is stocky and built like a tank, and weighs about 65 lbs. Can you foster or adopt Billy? Billy is currently in California still, but can be transported to you in Washington. Please email for an application.

Story
HI - I'M MARLIE! I'm a 10-month-old sweet Boxer girl in need of a foster or forever home. I was impounded at a California shelter after I was found as a stray in an alley. I rolled over on my back then to get belly rubs. I truly need a home as I'm a bit lost at the moment, with nobody to love and care for me (except for the rescue, who is taking me in). Can you foster or adopt me? I'm not yet spayed because I'm still a bit young, but I will be spayed when the vet says I'm ready. Please email for an application.
