Story
Meet Bruno, the quietly charming bully boy with the sweetest soul! Bruno is the kind of dog that makes you feel at peace just by being near. Calm, thoughtful, and soft around the edges, he’s already got the hang of home life thanks to his amazing foster! When he came to visit us, he was lounging like royalty under an umbrella in the car LOL! He’s used to the comforts of being loved and cared for, and he’s ready to bring that gentle energy into his forever home. We believe Bruno is a pittie mix of some sort around 2 years old and weighs approximately 55 pounds. Due to him being a rescue, age and breed cannot be guaranteed. But looking at that face we know there has to be at least a little pittie in him! Check out precious Bruno here: https://youtu.be/GVt_SEvl-tU On leash, Bruno is a breeze! No pulling, no drama, just a mellow walking buddy who enjoys taking in the world at his own quiet pace. At first, he might seem a little reserved when it comes to affection, but with a little patience and kindness, the trust and love will begin to grow. He’s the kind of companion who blooms with time and makes you feel honored to be let into his world. His soft and subtle growth with vulnerability is what his foster loves the most about him! He is the type of dog that makes rescue so rewarding! Bruno absolutely lights up around other dogs! He’s social, sweet, and was clearly trying to make best friends with every pup during his visit with us! While he doesn’t currently live with another dog, he would love to have a playmate in the home to show him the ropes and boost his confidence. He would thrive in a home with another medium energy pup that knows when it’s time to play and when it’s time to rest! That said, he’d also be just fine as your one-and-only as long as he has some occasional doggy hangouts to enjoy! As for cats, he’s a total gentleman! When he met Biggie, our house kitty, he just left him alone to do his own thing! Bruno simply minds his business, so if you’ve got a calm, independent kitty, he’d be happy to share space with them peacefully. He’s well-suited for apartment life or home life due to his laid-back nature, but he does prefer to keep cool, so shorter walks and a cozy place to relax indoors are his vibe. Older, respectful children who understand the need for gentleness would be a great match for him too! If there is a certain age kiddo that you are curious how Bruno behaves around, let us know and we would be happy to find out for you! We want to make sure he is perfect for your family! Bruno may not burst onto the scene with tail-thumping excitement, but he’s the kind of dog who wins hearts quietly and completely. If you’re looking for a loyal, low-key companion with a soft soul and a love for dog friends, Bruno might just be the perfect fit! Does Bruno sound like your boy? Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Story
His name is Blu only because it's his color, not because he has got the saddies, in fact he fights away any blues. If you love the big boys with simple ways, Blu is going to go right for your heart. Take him for a pup cup and experience the politeness, patience, and sweetness for yourself. With a dog like him it is hard to know where to start but lets get the “business” out of the way- Blu is estimated to be 3 years old and is possibly a Staffie/pitbull mix but given he is a rescue we cannot offer his age or breed with 100% certainty. Those are just details, what really matters is the heart of him, and thats one big ol’ loving heart. Watch blu and make him your boo! https://youtu.be/XI_IqMq2Pp4?si=uQaJ8p8icQouH_iP If you are looking for a running partner, he might miss the mark there, but if you are looking for a solid presence, sweet kisses, and a side of couch potato, you are in the right spot. On leash, Blu forgets he is a big boy in the sense that he needs the occasional reminder that y’all are walking together, when he gets a little power up he can pull but he is receptive to corrections simply being reminded that he is on leash. He is a big, lovable guy who is eager to learn and treat motivated, a combination that will make him receptive to learning new skills by your side. When passing another dog he will show interest but he is not going to insist on meeting them or give them much more than a friendly glance and maybe an excited body wiggle. Blue does know sit and is very patient when waiting for a treat, with a soft mouth once he is allowed to take it from your hand. Blu was introduced to a few new dogs to get a feel for his play style and the type of dogs that he makes connections with. During on-leash greetings he was polite with an obvious happy enthusiasm to meet a new friend. Once they met, each and every time we expected him to turn all that happy wiggle into a play session with his new friend but instead, he walked off, strutted is more like it. From there he was easy-company, happily grazing with the dogs, sharing treats, or simply walking along together. He may not have a super playful side but he is a great companion that isn’t pushy or insistent. We loved seeing his approach with a small, almost spicy little bully mix who wanted to make it very clear she was confident and not in the mood for any funny business if he was thinking about it. Whether he was or not, who knows, but he received the message with full respect like a confident male would. An ideal home for Blu would be one where he is either joining an easy-going female as a companion or coming home to be your one-and-only. He gets so much fulfillment from the connection with his people that he does not need a dog to be satisfied. Cozy places to nap, treats and a steady supply of toys paired with belly rubs and a few smooches is his version of heaven. No cats for Blu though, he is a bit too interested, looking at them almost like he isn’t sure if that is just a fun new toy. Either way, he would approach it all wrong and that is no fun for anyone. A home with a yard would be ideal and given his size and love for toys, older kids would be best. Older kids have steady legs and don’t leave toys laying around that Blu could confuse as a new dog toy. From everything we have seen and a detail we pay close attention to when a dog is in a home- he is fully house and crate trained! Another way the slightly older dogs are such a catch Don’t let the look of Blu fool you, he is full of love and ready for forever. Questions? Story
I don't know what I love more, those cute little freckles that he has on the top of his nose or his tender-hearted personality. There truly isn't much that I love more than a big dog with teddy bear vibes and that is the best way to describe Milo Freckles. He truly is a big ole softie, a distinguished gentleman, a natural sweetheart with people, kids, and dogs. Honestly everything about is sweet and gentle. Watch Milo's video and fall in love with the gentlest of gents out there: https://youtu.be/AkiVu6z29p0?si=FAqVg7_B-WhFpF2t Milo is a pittie mix approximately 4 years old that currently weighs 68 lbs with all of the aspirations of being a wannabe lap dog and is a gentle big baby (which is not an exaggeration LOL). He is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Milo is incredibly friendly with everyone he meets and has a great appreciation for booty scratches. If you find that perfect spot, he'll even arch his back a little and do this slow body wiggles making sure you get all the right spots. When Milo greets new people, he is more on the shy side but it does not take long for him to be leaning into you for affection and slowing inching his way into your lap. That's why we like to call him a distinguished gentleman because of the way he shows his affection with gentle nudges and thoughtful closeness. He's never over the top either or love bombing you with you kisses. He gives you just enough and will gladly offer more if you ask. It's the perfect mix. Milo dog friendly and did great meeting all of the dogs we introduced her too. His gentle natured personality even shows it self when meeting new dogs. He'll do a little sniff, say hello and then he's off doing his own thing, finding a spot to lay in the grass and bask in the sun, or getting affection by the people in the yard. Milo has met a handful of dogs, all with different personalities and has even been with some wild younger playful dogs and was tolerant of their youthfulness as well. He is not a playful guy with other dogs, he gives off more of the laid back, distinguished gentleman, hang back and watch type vibes around other dogs. He is completely unbothered when other dogs are playing around him having a good time and is even tolerant when the dogs accidentally bump into him during a play session. He just stands there and has this look of, "oh sorry friend, I didn't realize I was in your way." LOL that really is the best way to describe him, a chill laid back gentleman. In a home, Milo would be best placed with a dog that has the same temp as him. A dog that enjoys the company of other dogs, isn't wanting a playmate or interested in playing with other dogs, and will respect that Milo isn't a playful guy. He would also do great as your one and only too if you don't have other dogs. He does not need the company of another dog to help him feel comfortable with other dogs or to fulfill his energy needs. Milo is a loving boy all on his own and he super laid back. He has also spent time with our house cat Biggie and wanted absolutely nothing to do with him. Milo would give Biggie space every time he approached and was even a little scared of Biggie LOL. Almost like he has never seen a cat before and Biggie was some sort of alien and did not have any interest in getting to know him. You'll see in his video where, Biggie jumps on the couch and Milo had the immediate reaction of, "oh gosh, no thank you, I'm gonna leave." It was cute because it just goes to show that Milo is a total baby. We do not know if Milo has ever lived in a home with a cat before nor can we guarantee that things won't change once in the home. We do believe that with slow and proper introductions that Milo has the potential to live harmoniously with a dog-savvy kitty. Want to know where his gentleness also shines? If you guessed with kids, you're absolutely right! Milo has spent time with kids as young as 4 years old to 12 years old and he was such a gentlemen around both of them. The second that he walked into the room and saw Elijah (12) and Kobe (4), he immediately went up to both of them and in the exact same manner that he does with everyone he meets. Cool, calm, and collected, but when he saw the kids and met them, it was almost like a breath of fresh air for with them. You'll see in his video just how relaxed and at peace he was being around both of them. It was the sweetest thing when both of the kids were just doing their own thing and then there's Milo, calmly standing by both of them simply watching what they were doing and the way he found comfort being near them. You'll also see in his video that he had an actual "smile" being around the kids and the way he would love them in the most gentle way. There were moments where Kobe (the 4 year old) started jumping around and we were singing one of his favorite songs and Milo was just there in the background perfectly blending in with the mix of it all. We believe Milo would be a great companion for a family with kids. Milo would do best in a home with a backyard rather than in the heart of the city with all the hustle and bustle. He's more of a Netflix and chill, movie marathon, dinner at home date night type of guy. He'll gladly go on a leisurely walk through your peaceful neighborhood or hangout with you in the back yard while you garden. It doesn't take much for him to make him happy, he's a laid back home body looking for a cozy bed to sleep on and a family to love him. Milo is very gentle when taking treats, walks like a true gent on leash, is crate trained and potty trained, and has wonderful house manners. We are willing to test Milo with anything you need us to in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Story
How often do you see a dog that is this striking? Well don’t just stare, let me introduce you! His name is Blaze and he is best-friend material with the sweetest presence, great manners, and a silly playfulness that looks so good on him. Take a look then come back to read more about him- https://youtu.be/dfM5XBV6ZWk?si=d9xYTUIEUQjZnfya We can’t say for sure of course but his looks leads us to believe he is a Bully/ Catahoula mix but truly, we are just guessing. Arguments were had for cane corso, I’m sure you can see it too. Estimated to be 2 years old and weighing 59 lbs, he is a full-grown mid-size dog, which from experience I will say is prime snuggle size. Breed aside, this boy is undoubtedly a confident, friendly, independent and smart boy who is going to be loyal through and through. Blaze would thrive in a house with a yard! Doggie friends are welcome as he was very dog friendly, despite not showing us a very playful side we have heard he loves to bounce around. His on leash greetings are great, he is friendly and polite and can continue walking if meeting in passing. It is easy to see this boy being perfectly content as an only dog, the love and companionship of his person/people will be all he needs. No kitties for Blaze though, he met our house cat like he had never seen a cat before and his excitement startled the cat- a universal reaction we can imagine. Blaze recently got invited to an impromptu kids party and he was a big hit! The chaos and noise didn’t faze him one bit! He clearly was enjoying himself and could be a great family dog. He does have a bit of an obsession with toys and isn’t great at differentiating kids toys from Blaze toys so it would be best if he was in a home with kids that are past the age of leaving thier beloved toys laying around the house. Blaze is a gorgeous boy who is sure to bring you and everyone around you plenty of laughs and love. A boy like him won’t be available for long so if you are interested in having Blaze join your family, fill out an application today! Story
Ohhhhh my gosh I LOVE Brisket! He’s a hunka chunka beefcake of a guy with a heart bigger than his neck! Be prepared to fall in love with this THICC sweetheart Briskey Boi! Brisket comes with a special feature that you can only unlock with booty scratches: tippy taps! He dances his back legs and bops them up and down out of pure joy! Makes me smile just thinking about it. We believe that Brisket is a pittie mix who is about 3 years old and weighs approximately 55 pounds. Due to him being a rescue, age and breed cannot be guaranteed. But that’s what makes rescue exciting! You get to have your very own unique mix of a dog! Check out Brisket here: https://youtu.be/Zl_rByb44XU?si=OfqdMub-tTztzHdL As soon as I saw Brisket hop out the car, I was *swooning* over him! His beautiful amber eyes and his stout little body immediately stole the show! Be prepared to be showered with compliments as you take this guy out and he struts his stuff! Brisket is not only a charmer with his looks, he is also charming with his personality. When he met some of the other dogs on site, he was so good with all of them! We brought out male and females with a variety of personalities and Brisket was so chill with all of them. He’s just a guy being a dude. He’s a viber. Cool as a cucumber. He wasn’t the one to initiate a race or any roughhousing. But he was totally content with just sharing space with the other dogs. We believe Brisket would be okay with another low to medium energy dog that is has a nice blend of playfulness and chill energy. But honestly, Brisket is so independent that he would be perfectly fine as someone’s one and only. He isn’t going to attest being the sole receiver of all the love and affection, lol. Another bonus about Brisket? He is extremely mindful and gentle, taking treats and he is also kid friendly! When offered treats by numerous people, he took the treat in the same manner every time, gentle and slow. It’s like he knew that he was a big boy and needed to be extra careful with human hands. What a good boy! When he met Elijah, (11) he was in dog heaven. He just loved being showered with scratches and “good boys”. Brisket would do great in a home with older children who understand how to handle thicc doggos who appreciate affection. Brisket does not have long legs meant for galloping. But he does have a heavy step and a healthy voice. He can speak, and he doesn’t mind showing you his cool trick either! Because of this, we believe that he would do best in a home over an apartment lifestyle. He hasn’t been around any cats, but if you have a home that has a cat in it, feel free to let us know and we can see how he does in the presence of a feline. We want to make sure he is the best for your family! Overall, Brisket is SUCH A GEM! There wasn’t a single person that cam across him who didn’t immediately fall in love with him. He has so much love to give and a family out there is going to be sooooo happy to adopt this boy! Is Brisket your future babe? Story
I love Lucy! And you will too! A perfect family dog, a perfect running buddy, a dog-loving-dog, a perfect work-from-home companion, a total cuddle bug, Lucy checks every box. We think Lucy is an American Staffordshire Terrier, American Bully mix, but with rescue it is always a guess. She’s estimated to be around 2 years old. Lucy is currently thriving in a foster home with her foster mom and dad, who describe her as a huge couch potato. She’s so lovable that one of our directors temporarily fostered her too, in a home with many other dogs and a thirteen year old daughter. Lucy is fantastic with kids, previously having lived with a nine year old and a fifteen year old. She even had a chance to meet four year old Kobe, another director’s kiddo. Lucy and Kobe were fast friends, Lucy was so gentle and affectionate with him. She took treats sweetly from his hands, and even snuggled up with him in bed. See for yourself in her video! We think Lucy would make a phenomenal family dog. Fall in love right here! https://youtu.be/JY12wvi37qU?si=43s_C_EIXnTyekNN Lucy is deaf, which comes as a benefit in many ways. Her foster mom says it’s great because she can get ready in the morning, make her coffee, tell her husband goodbye- all without waking Lucy. Her resident dog’s barking doesn’t instigate Lucy- and when Lucy had a sleepover with another foster, they reported the same! Lucy visited the rescue on a particularly hectic day, in the middle of a construction project and some seriously loud tree removal, she was completely unbothered by all of it. Despite her deafness, Lucy is a wonderful communicator. She responds to hand commands, takes correction well with a water squirt bottle, and checks in regularly with eye contact. Praising her is easy, she loves treats, and treats will always communicate “good dog.” She’s a very gentle treat taker, and she loves cheese! The best thing about Lucy is her personality. She has the most wonderful, warm and friendly vibe. She regularly goes places with her foster mom, and makes fast friends with strangers. With dogs, it’s just the same. Lucy loves to play, and greets with affection and measured enthusiasm. Our director that fostered her called her submissive with other dogs, and Lucy’s current foster mom calls her respectful of other dogs. We’ve never seen Lucy meet a dog she doesn’t like. Lucy is so good with other dogs that she’s been used as an assessment dog- welcoming new intake dogs, teaching them that the rescue is a fun and safe place to be, and teaching us humans about the new dog’s dog-to-dog behaviors. In one particularly memorable assessment, Lucy’s warmth and love went incredibly far to open up a shy and scared dog. He was panting, cowering and scared before he met Lucy, but once Lucy came out it was all play. If your dog needs an emotional support dog of their own, Lucy is your girl. Lucy’s playstyle with other dogs can span from calm and sweet to rough and rowdy. With playful, higher energy dogs she’ll play chase, but with our lower energy Great Pyrenees male she stuck to jaw-sparring and mellow wrestling. She’s just such a versatile dog! Lucy has visited dog parks, and enjoyed playing with the other dogs, and she’s participated in large playgroups happily. She’s a doggy-daycare type, a natural canine socialite. A male, medium energy dog would be Lucy’s perfect doggy sibling match. In her foster home, Lucy is such a chill girl. Her foster mom says she spends most of every day sleeping. She sleeps on the couch for hours at a time, wakes up, checks on everyone, and then settles at her foster dad’s feet while he works from home. She’ll snuggle up with her doggy foster brother in bed. She loves to sunbathe in the backyard, on their outdoor couch, of course. When she’s not sleeping, she enjoys playing in the backyard with her doggy foster brother and going on runs with her foster mom. The perfect running companion, her foster mom calls her. Lucy has good basic leash skills, and sticks by your side when you’re running. She’ll need a little practice with a new handler before showing you her best leash walking skills, but once you’ve hit that groove with her she’s just perfect on leash. Lucy is adorable in every way. She loves toys, but she’s gentle with them. She’s uber affectionate but never too pushy with her kisses. She likes to snuggle, sit in your lap, and lick your hands and face. She’s so friendly with everyone that she meets, a perfect pup for those with big families or lots of friends. She’s also a total lazybones couch potato, totally content to just be your best friend. Lucy is ready for her happily ever after! We think she would appreciate a home with outdoor space to play and sunbathe. Lucy is used to being left at home all day while the parents work at the office. Lucy could live with kiddos and pups, but we don’t recommend her for a home with kitties. We are willing to test Lucy with anything you need us to in order to ensure she is the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! Just let us know.
Questions?
Story
Butter my biscuit and call me smitten because I have met the best beefcake of them all! His name happens to be Biscuit Butter and he is just as perfect as one. From the moment I met him his calm, confident, and quietly affectionate nature just shined through. He has a presence- big, warm, and welcoming. You can just see that he has love to give! Take a look for yourself- https://youtu.be/EaAB-fHmUfY He is a mature boy which probably has a lot to do with his presence. He is estimated to be around 7 years old, he currently weighs 90 lbs and is likely an American bully mix but given he is a rescue we cannot be certain of his age or breed. Biscuit is so lucky and is being fostered in a loving family home while he waits for his adoption day. He currently lives with two adults, a two year old toddler, three dogs, and one cat. They have had a front row seat to the Get-To-Know Biscuit show and they are big fans. So far they have shared that he has been just the easiest boy to open their home to. He is house and crate trained, walks politely on leash, rides in the car like a pro- though he may need a boost getting in the back of an SUV, but once he is in there it is a quiet ride. The afternoon I met Biscuit his foster mom said she almost forgot he was back there!I don’t know why but I think that is hilarious! A big ol’ boy who is as quiet as a mouse in the car. Plus, if you don’t like dogs on the furniture he comes preprogramed with that skill. He will not be trying to get on the couch,, even for a treat. We wouldn’t blame him if eventually he caved and joined the snuggle life but there is no turning back once that ship sails. As far as Biscuit with dogs goes, you know he lives with three other dogs — all different personalities — and gets along well with everyone. We also introduced him to a handful of dogs and we were so impressed by his chill nature. He met each and every dog with the same polite, calm sniffs and then carried on whatever he had been doing before that. No barking, no pushiness, and was so calm with the wild dogs running and wrestling around him. His role is going to be more of a yard-wanderer type than a full-on playmate. His foster shared he can get a little bouncy playfulness in the house with one of the dogs but it is short and sweet. With the big, bully boys we always recommend avoiding pairing one with other large, assertive males in the same home, but he is absolutely a versatile boy, he would be happy as an only dog or part of a balanced pack with friendly companions. Biscuit is also very people-friendly. He enjoys affection, is sweet with kids, and has that easy, mature energy that makes him a dream to have around. He’s not pushy, not clingy — just a calm companion who knows how to quietly show up for his people. If you’re looking for a mellow, well-rounded dog who’s past the puppy chaos but still has so much love to give, Biscuit is your guy! He’s got the heart of a family dog, the soul of a best friend, and the wisdom of someone who knows just how nice a simple life can be. Questions? Story
Ladies, do you want a reason to need to keep your nails done? Meet Cedric, he melts for back scratches and practically has an out of body experience if the one giving the scratches has strong, healthy nails. He may not be able to pay for them but he will always admire and appreciate them. In return for the backcscrathes he has snuggles, sweet kisses, and short walks to offer. And how could I forget- allll that charm! See for yourself- https://youtu.be/bBvu3Ah-AaE We estimate Cedric is 3 years old and is likely a bulldog mix. He currently weighs 44 lbs and we expect he will settle in just shy of 50 lbs. Given he is a rescue breed and age are details we cannot guarantee but you can take a survey on breed guesses, you will get a lot of bulldog responses and not from just looks alone. His charming personality gives us so many classic bulldog qualities, from his easy-going, unbothered nature to his approach to urgency- there is none. It would be best to rely on him for couch cuddles, giggle-inducing entertainment, and a few new friends (he attracts people like a magnet.) Cedric isn’t pushy about meeting passers by but he is albsolutely welcoming when they want to stop and say hi to him. We love the balance of “never met a stranger” but not overwhelmingly out-going. Basically, he plays it cool. An ideal home for Cedric would be one where his chill nature is embraced! Dogs are welcome but he could easily and happily be an only-dog. Anytime he has been introduced to new dogs or invited into the yard to play, he is polite and aloof. More of a companion than a playmate. Despite that we do think he would be best in a home with a yard, he really enjoys sauntering around the yard and its pretty cute to watch. This likely won’t come as a shock but its worth saying- Cedric is not interested in long, outdoor adventures, he considers himself the indoors-type. You understand. Kids are welcome in Cedrics world, he loves mini-people and they think he is pretty cute. If you love the bully qualities and can embrace them, Cedric is ready to come home, chill-vibes included Questions? Mabel is a certified people-dog who has mastered the art of chill! She leans in for affection, rolls over for belly rubs, loves being loved on, and is happiest just being near her people. Sprinkle in some sweet talk and this girls heart is yours! Take a look at her in action then come back to read more! https://youtu.be/JwrhWHdKRwk Mabel is a rescue so breed and birthday are details we cannot guarantee. With that said we estimate her to be 3 years old, she weighs 49 lbs and is likely an English Bulldog/American Bully mix. Thanks to Mabel’s foster we can share that she is a dream guest- fully house and crate trained, quiet, and an all-star sleeper day or night. Dog-wise, Mabel is more of a “coexist” than “let’s play” kind of girl. She was relaxed and unbothered during off-leash time with other dogs, not reactive at all even when other dogs were being too much, she was perfectly happy just doing her own thing. She showed a little interest in playing with an 8-month-old puppy, but when he lost interest, so did she. She’s best matched with a low to medium energy dog who won’t push her to engage or crowd her space. Mabel will need a cat-free home. When she met our home cat it was easy to see an uninvited game of chase cross her mind. That would be chaos for everyone involved. Apartment life? Yes, please. Mabel doesn’t need a ton of exercise—just short walks and time to chill inside with her humans. She walks beautifully on leash—right by your side, no pulling, no drama—and she makes a stroll feel like therapy- she just keeps her sessions short. As a smush-faced queen, she’s sensitive to heat and has zero interest in miles or marathons. But if you're looking for a couch-to-curb companion with two modes- love and lounging, Mabel’s your girl. Story
Beverly here has that classic sweet, smart, and sensitive combo that most all of us think of when we imagine our dream dog. I think my favorite thing about Beverly, besides her face but we will get to that, is how you can just see doesn’t need a packed calendar of adventures to be happy. This girl is here for the simple life- a comfy bed, a few walks, a few treats/toys, and a human or two to love. She has her priorities straight. Take a look at her in action then come back to read more about her! https://youtu.be/FiUd2lAgslk With rescue we cannot guarantee breed or birthday but we believe Beverly is 2–3-years-old and is possibly a Boxer/Pittie/Lab mix, and she weighs an adorable 48 lbs. Small-medium or medium-small, call it what you want but in my book she is perfectly petite. She won’t take up much space on the couch but she is aiming to fill your heart up with love. Beverly has been fortunate to wait for her adoption day in a foster home where she is learning all the best house skills. Her foster family shared that in the home, Beverly is easy. She’s quiet, crate-trained, fully housebroken, and loves to curl up nearby while you go about your day. She’s playful when the mood strikes—especially if there’s a ball to chase—but she’s mostly a laid-back, easy-going kind of girl. She’s great in the car, doesn’t bark unless there’s truly something worth alerting you about, and has even been around young grandkids (ages 2–4) who she has been gentle and calm with. She takes treats gently and knows how to sit and “place,” especially when there are snacks involved—she’s very food motivated and eager to learn. Beverly would thrive in a home or apartment with an individual, couple, or family that is somewhat active but balances that out with chill couch sessions. She is not here for chaos and she won’t be the one to bring it. Her foster family did share the t Beverly is quiet the gazelle and can jump really high. She has never tried to hop a fence but is worth noting that she is capable of it so if a living in a home with a yard, a secure fence is encouraged. Beverly could easily be a family girl but has gotten a bit spoiled living in a home where the littles only visit. Basically, she has grand parent vibes down- the kids are welcome, she loves them most when they are just visiting and she loves the peaceful naps that come after they leave. Older kids are a different story, she enjoys the chill vibe that comes as they get a little older! A family with older kids would be great for Beverly, she is a perfect video game companion or a couch-cuddles. Beverly is dog-friendly and is well suited for and enjoys confident males who do not need constant interaction, but she could easily be a solo-dog. She doesn’t need a dog companion for her mental or physical well-being, she is here for the people. No kitties for Beverly though, she thinks they are exotic squirrels, and wants to get a close-up look and we all know cats do not enjoy an overly eager dog. If you’re looking for a loving, loyal, chill companion who just wants to your go-to-girl, Beverly is ready to take her place beside you. Her soft eyes, calm soul and adoring nature make her so easy to love. Questions? Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission! Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Together, we can make a difference, one adoption at a time. https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life?
