This sweet angel is Lizzie! You don’t want to miss out on this big girl with an even bigger heart! We believe Lizzie is an XL American Bully mix—of course, with rescue, that’s just our best guess! At 5 years old, she’s still a big goofball who brings laughs and love everywhere she goes. Especially with her famous happy hops. She just hops and hops around the house when she’s happy to see you! Gosh, my cheeks hurt just thinking about how big I’d be smiling if I came home to that every day! Maybe there’s some bunny DNA in there? Lizzie is smart as a whip—she knows sit and even shake! She never says no to a snack (like, ever), which makes training fun and easy for everyone involved. And by everyone, we mean kids too! Lizzie recently met a baby and an 8-year-old and definitely prefers the older kiddos who are steady on their feet. Holly is full of joy and light! She is a bouncy bean, hip hopping everywhere! I think she would prefer to just bounce everywhere instead of walking. She has never met a stranger— she just wanted to play with every dog she met within seconds. Holly loves toys so much, especially big soft ones that don’t fit in her mouth so she looks super silly. She was making everyone at the rescue laugh so hard, I’m sure it was the best part of the day. But my favorite thing about her would have to be how she gets the zoomies with her toys. After she zooms she will roll over on her back and just roll all over her toys. It’s so funny! She loves to chew on them and continue rubbing her back all in the grass. Holly is too cute to handle. Holly’s favorite thing ever was probably meeting her new teenage best friend. She was begging for booty scratches, and let her new friend use her booty as little bongos! She loved it! She has good leash manners from working on them here at the rescue so she will be perfect and ready to go to her new home. She even knows drop it! Her favorite toys are sticks or anything rubber. She loves to fetch them, and then depot to the ground and roll all over them! I call these her “happy drops”. She loves to use her mouth when she’s playing so older kids who know it’s just all fun and games would be perfect for her. She is quiet in her crate and lets you take her toys from her with no problem! Holly is dog friendly but she likes to keep her circle tight, lol! She has been in many play groups, she just needs friends that match her vibe! We could see her in a home with other puppy pals who appreciate a little rowdy play! That face that you fell for is the happy-go-lucky heartthrob we call Charlie. He is the kind of dog that meets the world with a big ol’ smile and all the wiggle-wag one dog can physically create. He is a goofball with bouncy joy, the cutest charm, and some amazing cuddles. Charlie is estimated to be just over one-year-old, he weighs 50-pounds, and we think he is a bit of a lab/bulldog mix but truthfully we can’t say for sure given he is a rescue. The only test I could run showed he is 100% sunshine and sweetness. After I spent the day with him I didn’t want him to go- I had fallen for him. He is instantly affectionate and melts into a puddle of belly rub seeking butter. If he doesn’t melt you will feel him lean into you for hugs, and he will even let you scoop him up for an extra sweet cuddle. This guy’s happy energy is contagious and that doesn’t stop with people, he is just as thrilled to make new dog friends as he is to be by your side. The afternoon we spent with Charlie we introduced him to a wide variety of dogs to get a feel for his play style and the types of dogs he enjoys most. It didn’t take long at all for us to be impressed with how friendly and welcoming he was. Even when other dogs came in a little hot or pushy, Charlie handled it with grace. With the right dog, an equally bouncy, playful dog, he showed us he loves a bit of bouncy, physical play but it isn’t his constant. He was comfortable enough to lay down beside brand-new dogs a sign of total trust. He’s the type who only joins in play when invited and isn’t going to push his way in as a third wheel or shut down the fun for them. He isn’t going to cause a stir but will always try to help keep the vibes tuned to fun-loving, calm joy. Charlie does need some leash work, he has the basics down and honestly I feel like I am betraying him to say such a thing because it didn’t bother me one bit. All I could see was a happy boy who was just so excited to explore the world! The more he gets to experience and enjoy the better he will be at pacing himself . That and some practice (and maybe a few treats to reward him for checking-in and walking by your side), he will learn quickly. He is a smart boy, eager to please, and already shows how well he responds when guided gently. He will bond fast and deep with his people. During the time we spent with him, the first person who interacted with him as his handler walked out of the yard, he stayed by the gate waiting- a loyal love bug through and through. Because of that devotion, he may miss you when you go at first, its natural, but with time and routine he will settle into knowing his favorite people always come home. Charlie would do best in a home with a yard and another playful, medium-energy dog to run and romp with. He could adjust to apartment living once his leash manners are polished as long as he gets plenty of playtime and adventures to meet his mental and physical needs. No cats for Charlie though, his eager friendliness does not vibe with cats. We all know cats- if you’re too eager they don’t care for you and that goes for dogs too. 2025’s Beefcake of the Year Award goes to… Chance! Here is your Chance! Your chance at the ultimate beefcake. He is more than his good looks though, he is your classic bully boy- chill and playful, with aspirations for snugged-up lap-dog life. Take a look at him in action then come back to read more! Chance is estimated to be right around 2.5 years old and he weighs 62 lbs. Age and breed are details we cannot guarantee given he is a rescue but everything from his looks to his personality lead us to believe he is an American bully mix of some sort. Chance is fostered in a loving home and his foster shared that he is fully house and crate trained. We love that! Sure he isn’t your typical “lapdog” size but he knows that so he approaches snuggles gently and carefully, you will never see him come barreling in for love. Honestly, he is so respectful he often will wait until you make the first move before coming in close. His signature move though is what we call the love lean, if you are standing or even sitting really, he will lean his weight into you, in such a quiet, loving way. He wants to be touching without interrupting you or being too demanding. We love it, it feels like a hug. The ideal home for Chance would be a home with a yard and he would make a wonderful +1 for an easygoing dog similar to himself. A condo/townhome is a possibility, he doesn’t need a yard as long as he is getting regular walks for his physical health and chances to socialize for his mental health. He isn’t the bouncy playful type but enjoys the company of other, equally chill dogs, though I have been impressed with how he handles high energy, wild dogs. When the high-energy dogs get to playing a little wild, he just takes himself to the side and checks in with his person. He doesn't want to stop them or be involved, we love an unbothered big boy! Just the same as his potential to be a +1, he is totally game to be the center of attention as your one-and-only fur-baby. Without another dog, chances are he will get a steady stream of new toys and he is going to love that! His love of toys is adorable and he can easily entertain himself, a wonderful quality! Most recently, he showed us again just how much he loves toys and he had a blast playing with a group of people, showing off his fetch. An apartment with shared walls isn’t best as he can use his voice on occasion and we don’t want any noise complaints on account of this lover boy. No kitties for Chance though, he was introduced to our house cat and he was very interested in meeting him in a way that we recognize as the overly eager curiosity that leads to chasing and chasing leads to chaos and an unhappy cat. As for kids, he’d do best in a home with older ones (10+) he’s a solid boy and could accidentally knock over a little one. When he met a very wiggly and giggly four year old he was happy to get love from him and was so patient and unbothered by his yelling and little kicks on his belly while they were snuggled up. So all ages of guests and visitors are welcome with Chance. This boy is fostered in a home with a single woman and she praises the comforting presence he gives her. Not only the love and snuggles, but when on a walk or while she sits at the charging station for her electric vehicle, his size and looks alone have a major bodyguard effect. Introducing ….Kongo King of the Boop, bringer of the smooches! This absolute specimen of a beefcake is estimated to be just shy of 2 years old American Bully boy with a big blocky head, the smile to match, and a cute cow-like black and white coat with polka dot sprinkles. Weighing 69 pounds, he’s a handsome, sturdy guy who’s equal parts physical presence and gentle devotion. Kongo is smart, attentive and treat-motivated. Despite the size of that mouth, he is a sweetheart when he takes snacks , he has a soft, gentle mouth. His signature move though is the nose boop! Whether he’s greeting you or exploring his world, Kongo’s boops are guaranteed to make you smile! He’s not one for rough-and-tumble dog play but could do well with a lower-energy female dog who is happy to chill together. His looks may give off tough-guy but truly Kongo is sensitive and responds very well to a gentle, confident approach. He’ll do best in a quieter home, ideally with a yard to relax in and adopters who can help him feel safe. Because of his size, occasional pulling on leash, and lack of experience ins noisy/busy environments, Kongo is not suited for apartment living. Kongo is polite with people but occasionally will still jump. He is very responsive to gentle correction and jumps down quickly but for now, we recommend older kids if joining a family home and he is not the fit for an older, senior adopter. Kongo is so fun to take in public too. He is a great passenger in the car, although you may have to lure him inside with some chicken nuggets. Hey, me too Kongo! He had so much fun with our volunteers, they went to the park and sniffed the flowers, then off to pick out a yummy treat from the doggy bakery across the street. Sounds like a blast! Kongo is dog-friendly but undoubtedly has a “type” the mellow, easy-going females are welcome with him, but he also does not need a canine companion in the home and is a perfect fit if you are looking for a dog that will be happy as an only-dog. He is a sensitive soul, submissive to people, and deeply devoted once he trusts you, which comes easy. He is truly the kind of dog who is going to bond closely and become someone’s loyal best friend. This includes kiddos too! Kongo did wonderfully with a 4 year old here at the rescue. They had so much fun playing with stuffies, throwing them around the room and jumping all over the bed. Of course he had to give her some of his famous Kongo kisses and boops— and in exchange she gave him lots of treats, which he took with a gentle mouth. 💙 Meet Alfred – King of the Sploots, Master of the Snuggles, and Certified Big Baby 💙 If you’re ready for a dog who is basically a big, lovable couch potato with legs, say hello to Alfred — the snuggliest, splootiest, smooshiest boy to ever exist. With his big ol’ bulldog head, adorable brindle spots, and one blue eye and one brown eye, Alfred looks like someone sprinkled magic on a teddy bear and brought it to life. We think he’s an English bulldog, Pittie mix but, we can’t be sure since he’s a rescue! His signature move is the sploot (legs stretched all the way out behind him like a frog), and he’ll plop down wherever he feels comfy, often with a dramatic sigh like he just ran a marathon (he did not). He’s a big fan of AC, squishy beds, and slow strolls that end in snacks and praise. He’s an absolute dream with kids — gentle, calm, and super affectionate. Alfred sits sweetly for treats, gives the softest little kisses, and happily soaks up attention like a big squishy sponge. He loves being part of the family, especially if that includes belly rubs, baby talk, and lounging indoors with his favorite humans. Cats? No problem! Alfred did wonderfully with feline friends — polite, calm, and respectful. He’s got that “you do your thing, I’ll do mine” energy when it comes to kitties, which makes him a great match for homes with chill, confident cats. With other dogs, Alfred prefers to keep things low-key. He’s not really into playing or roughhousing — he’s more of a vibe guy. He does well with calm dogs and can share space without issue, but he’s also totally content being your one-and-only cuddle companion. He’s not here for the drama — just the snacks, snuggles, and soft places to nap. Alfred walks on leash with enthusiasm (he’s a big boy, after all!), but he responds well to gentle guidance and positive encouragement. He’s already shown improvement with some simple leash training, and with a little patience, he’ll happily strut by your side like the handsome prince he is. He’s crate trained and loves being inside — especially when there’s air conditioning and a cozy spot to sprawl out in. This sweet angel is Lizzie! You don’t want to miss out on this big girl with an even bigger heart! We believe Lizzie is an XL American Bully mix—of course, with rescue, that’s just our best guess! At 5 years old, she’s still a big goofball who brings laughs and love everywhere she goes. Especially with her famous happy hops. She just hops and hops around the house when she’s happy to see you! Gosh, my cheeks hurt just thinking about how big I’d be smiling if I came home to that every day! Maybe there’s some bunny DNA in there? Lizzie is smart as a whip—she knows sit and even shake! She never says no to a snack (like, ever), which makes training fun and easy for everyone involved. And by everyone, we mean kids too! Lizzie recently met a baby and an 8-year-old and definitely prefers the older kiddos who are steady on their feet. She was so gentle taking treats from the 8-year-old, and they ended their meet-up with a cuddle sesh on the couch. Her cuddles? Immaculate. Though she does think she’s a lap dog… classic Lizzie! Holly is full of joy and light! She is a bouncy bean, hip hopping everywhere! I think she would prefer to just bounce everywhere instead of walking. She has never met a stranger— she just wanted to play with every dog she met within seconds. Holly loves toys so much, especially big soft ones that don’t fit in her mouth so she looks super silly. She was making everyone at the rescue laugh so hard, I’m sure it was the best part of the day. But my favorite thing about her would have to be how she gets the zoomies with her toys. After she zooms she will roll over on her back and just roll all over her toys. It’s so funny! She loves to chew on them and continue rubbing her back all in the grass. Holly is too cute to handle. Holly’s favorite thing ever was probably meeting her new teenage best friend. She was begging for booty scratches, and let her new friend use her booty as little bongos! She loved it! She has been in many play groups, she just needs friends that match her vibe! We could see her in a home with other puppy pals who appreciate a little rowdy play! That face that you fell for is the happy-go-lucky heartthrob we call Charlie. He is the kind of dog that meets the world with a big ol’ smile and all the wiggle-wag one dog can physically create. He is a goofball with bouncy joy, the cutest charm, and some amazing cuddles. Charlie is estimated to be just over one-year-old, he weighs 50-pounds, and we think he is a bit of a lab/bulldog mix but truthfully we can’t say for sure given he is a rescue. After I spent the day with him I didn’t want him to go- I had fallen for him. He is instantly affectionate and melts into a puddle of belly rub seeking butter. If he doesn’t melt you will feel him lean into you for hugs, and he will even let you scoop him up for an extra sweet cuddle. This guy’s happy energy is contagious and that doesn’t stop with people, he is just as thrilled to make new dog friends as he is to be by your side. The afternoon we spent with Charlie we introduced him to a wide variety of dogs to get a feel for his play style and the types of dogs he enjoys most. It didn’t take long at all for us to be impressed with how friendly and welcoming he was. Even when other dogs came in a little hot or pushy, Charlie handled it with grace. With the right dog, an equally bouncy, playful dog, he showed us he loves a bit of bouncy, physical play but it isn’t his constant. He was comfortable enough to lay down beside brand-new dogs a sign of total trust. He’s the type who only joins in play when invited and isn’t going to push his way in as a third wheel or shut down the fun for them. He isn’t going to cause a stir but will always try to help keep the vibes tuned to fun-loving, calm joy. Charlie does need some leash work, he has the basics down and honestly I feel like I am betraying him to say such a thing because it didn’t bother me one bit. All I could see was a happy boy who was just so excited to explore the world! The more he gets to experience and enjoy the better he will be at pacing himself . That and some practice (and maybe a few treats to reward him for checking-in and walking by your side), he will learn quickly. He is a smart boy, eager to please, and already shows how well he responds when guided gently. He will bond fast and deep with his people. During the time we spent with him, the first person who interacted with him as his handler walked out of the yard, he stayed by the gate waiting- a loyal love bug through and through. Because of that devotion, he may miss you when you go at first, its natural, but with time and routine he will settle into knowing his favorite people always come home. Charlie would do best in a home with a yard and another playful, medium-energy dog to run and romp with. He could adjust to apartment living once his leash manners are polished as long as he gets plenty of playtime and adventures to meet his mental and physical needs. No cats for Charlie though, his eager friendliness does not vibe with cats. We all know cats- if you’re too eager they don’t care for you and that goes for dogs too. 💙 Meet Alfred – King of the Sploots, Master of the Snuggles, and Certified Big Baby 💙 If you’re ready for a dog who is basically a big, lovable couch potato with legs, say hello to Alfred — the snuggliest, splootiest, smooshiest boy to ever exist. With his big ol’ bulldog head, adorable brindle spots, and one blue eye and one brown eye, Alfred looks like someone sprinkled magic on a teddy bear and brought it to life. We think he’s an English bulldog, Pittie mix but, we can’t be sure since he’s a rescue! His signature move is the sploot (legs stretched all the way out behind him like a frog), and he’ll plop down wherever he feels comfy, often with a dramatic sigh like he just ran a marathon (he did not). He’s a big fan of AC, squishy beds, and slow strolls that end in snacks and praise. He’s an absolute dream with kids — gentle, calm, and super affectionate. Alfred sits sweetly for treats, gives the softest little kisses, and happily soaks up attention like a big squishy sponge. He loves being part of the family, especially if that includes belly rubs, baby talk, and lounging indoors with his favorite humans. Cats? No problem! Alfred did wonderfully with feline friends — polite, calm, and respectful. He’s got that “you do your thing, I’ll do mine” energy when it comes to kitties, which makes him a great match for homes with chill, confident cats. With other dogs, Alfred prefers to keep things low-key. He’s not really into playing or roughhousing — he’s more of a vibe guy. He does well with calm dogs and can share space without issue, but he’s also totally content being your one-and-only cuddle companion. He’s not here for the drama — just the snacks, snuggles, and soft places to nap. Alfred walks on leash with enthusiasm (he’s a big boy, after all!), but he responds well to gentle guidance and positive encouragement. He’s already shown improvement with some simple leash training, and with a little patience, he’ll happily strut by your side like the handsome prince he is. He’s crate trained and loves being inside — especially when there’s air conditioning and a cozy spot to sprawl out in. Alfred isn’t the type of pup who wants to go on grand adventures or spend hours outdoors. He’s more of a “let’s chill at home and binge-watch cartoons” kind of guy — which makes him perfect for a family that loves lazy Sundays and cuddle time. 2025’s Beefcake of the Year Award goes to… Chance! Here is your Chance! Your chance at the ultimate beefcake. He is more than his good looks though, he is your classic bully boy- chill and playful, with aspirations for snugged-up lap-dog life. Take a look at him in action then come back to read more! Chance is estimated to be right around 2.5 years old and he weighs 62 lbs. Age and breed are details we cannot guarantee given he is a rescue but everything from his looks to his personality lead us to believe he is an American bully mix of some sort. Chance is fostered in a loving home and his foster shared that he is fully house and crate trained. We love that! Sure he isn’t your typical “lapdog” size but he knows that so he approaches snuggles gently and carefully, you will never see him come barreling in for love. Honestly, he is so respectful he often will wait until you make the first move before coming in close. His signature move though is what we call the love lean, if you are standing or even sitting really, he will lean his weight into you, in such a quiet, loving way. He wants to be touching without interrupting you or being too demanding. We love it, it feels like a hug. The ideal home for Chance would be a home with a yard and he would make a wonderful +1 for an easygoing dog similar to himself. A condo/townhome is a possibility, he doesn’t need a yard as long as he is getting regular walks for his physical health and chances to socialize for his mental health. He isn’t the bouncy playful type but enjoys the company of other, equally chill dogs, though I have been impressed with how he handles high energy, wild dogs. When the high-energy dogs get to playing a little wild, he just takes himself to the side and checks in with his person. He doesn't want to stop them or be involved, we love an unbothered big boy! Just the same as his potential to be a +1, he is totally game to be the center of attention as your one-and-only fur-baby. Without another dog, chances are he will get a steady stream of new toys and he is going to love that! His love of toys is adorable and he can easily entertain himself, a wonderful quality! Most recently, he showed us again just how much he loves toys and he had a blast playing with a group of people, showing off his fetch. An apartment with shared walls isn’t best as he can use his voice on occasion and we don’t want any noise complaints on account of this lover boy. No kitties for Chance though, he was introduced to our house cat and he was very interested in meeting him in a way that we recognize as the overly eager curiosity that leads to chasing and chasing leads to chaos and an unhappy cat. As for kids, he’d do best in a home with older ones (10+) he’s a solid boy and could accidentally knock over a little one. When he met a very wiggly and giggly four year old he was happy to get love from him and was so patient and unbothered by his yelling and little kicks on his belly while they were snuggled up. So all ages of guests and visitors are welcome with Chance. This boy is fostered in a home with a single woman and she praises the comforting presence he gives her. Not only the love and snuggles, but when on a walk or while she sits at the charging station for her electric vehicle, his size and looks alone have a major bodyguard effect. Introducing ….Kongo King of the Boop, bringer of the smooches! This absolute specimen of a beefcake is estimated to be just shy of 2 years old American Bully boy with a big blocky head, the smile to match, and a cute cow-like black and white coat with polka dot sprinkles. Weighing 69 pounds, he’s a handsome, sturdy guy who’s equal parts physical presence and gentle devotion. Kongo is smart, attentive and treat-motivated. Despite the size of that mouth, he is a sweetheart when he takes snacks , he has a soft, gentle mouth. His signature move though is the nose boop! Whether he’s greeting you or exploring his world, Kongo’s boops are guaranteed to make you smile! He’s not one for rough-and-tumble dog play but could do well with a lower-energy female dog who is happy to chill together. His looks may give off tough-guy but truly Kongo is sensitive and responds very well to a gentle, confident approach. He’ll do best in a quieter home, ideally with a yard to relax in and adopters who can help him feel safe. Because of his size, occasional pulling on leash, and lack of experience ins noisy/busy environments, Kongo is not suited for apartment living. Kongo is polite with people but occasionally will still jump. He is very responsive to gentle correction and jumps down quickly but for now, we recommend older kids if joining a family home and he is not the fit for an older, senior adopter. Kongo is so fun to take in public too. He is a great passenger in the car, although you may have to lure him inside with some chicken nuggets. Hey, me too Kongo! He had so much fun with our volunteers, they went to the park and sniffed the flowers, then off to pick out a yummy treat from the doggy bakery across the street. Sounds like a blast! Chaos, charm, and one perfect ear. That’s Vinne Van Gogh. He’s a four legged wonder who snores louder than your uncle after Thanksgiving, barrels into a room like a tiny wrecking ball, his heavy hot breathing announces his arrival every single time, and somehow he balances all that chaos with sweet side that makes him impossible not to adore. Picasso could never create something this legendary. Being the legend he is and his main character energy, Vinnie prefers a one dog household where the spotlight stays exactly where it belongs. On him and him alone. Just the way he likes it! Vinnie is a bowling ball powered by Wreck-it-Ralph energy and has a sour patch kid personality. First he’s chaos, then he cuddles. Fair warning though, most cuddles with Vinnie do end up with you covered in slobber, hair, and him very heavily breathing on you with his hot breath LOL. You gotta be someone that likes that type of affection. He stomps, snorts, and accidentally (debatable) redecorates your living room, so best of luck to your pillows.
