Adult Neutered Male  52 lbs. No known experience with cats, dogs, or kids Meet Emoji, a friendly and goofy pup with a whole lot of personality! He loves showing off just how fast he can really be, even if he tires himself out pretty quickly. Emoji is a total goofball who enjoys exploring his surroundings and checking out everything the world has to offer. With his fun-loving personality, playful spirit, and silly antics, Emoji is sure to keep you smiling and would love a family to share plenty of adventures and laughs with. The online adoption listing websites require that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.August 12, 2026, 5:34 pm

Story
Meet Dumpling: The Queen of the SplootLooking for a low drama, go with the flow best friend? Allow us to introduce Dumpling, a 5 year old, 55 pound bully mix with a heart as big as her adorable smile.Dumpling is the definition of an easy companion. Whether you're spending the day lounging on the couch, going for a leisurely walk, or hanging out in the back yard, she's happy just being part of whatever you're doing. She's sweet, affectionate, and hands out kisses like it's her full time job.Her signature move? The world class sploot. She's proudly earned the title of Queen of the Sploot, and she'll happily demonstrate her impressive lounging skills whenever the opportunity arises.Dumpling is crate trained, housebroken, and has lovely house manners. She's mostly deaf, but don't let that fool you, it doesn't slow her down one bit. She navigates life beautifully and thrives with routine, love, and positive guidance. She gets along well with people and would likely do great with respectful children. She enjoys calm, laid back dog friends around her own size, but proper introductions are important. Because she has some resource guarding with other animals, she'd do best with experienced adopters who can manage feeding and high value items appropriately. She is not a good fit for a home with cats. When bedtime rolls around, Dumpling is perfectly content curling up on a dog bed, although we're pretty sure she'd be thrilled to upgrade to a cozy spot next to her favorite humans. If you're looking for a loyal companion who's affectionate without being demanding, playful without being wild, and happy to match your pace, Dumpling just might be your perfect match.Come meet this sweet girl. You'll quickly discover why everyone falls in love with our Queen of the Sploot.Albert's Dog Lounge is a specialty rescue focusing primarily on senior and special needs dogs. Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and then a meet and greet with the dog. Story
HI I`m Junior! I`m like a big dog in a midsize body. With my short gravity base I can be a strong dog, but after a while I ease up pretty well on walks. I can be intimidating at first until I ok you but after that we`re all good. I am a confident dog and get along with most everyone. Let`s be real, how can you not like this face?

Story
Xander says Good MorningXander is a super cool dude with a ton of energy. A bundle of fun on his own, you’ll be sure to never have a boring day with this dog around. When he sees you he just gets right into the spirit of things. He’s just happy to see you, and his enthusiasm is sure to put a smile on your face. Xander was a stray that came to the shelter back in November 2024. We’re surprised he’s still here, too. He likes nothing better than running in the yard or walking the trails. Xander loves playing with his toys. He does not care to share his people or space with other animals. We told him it`s better to share and have friends, but he’s not really listening. In his mind, why should he? If you think you have the energy to fit Xander, give us a call today! Ask about him today! Story
An emotional plea for Gracie. She raised them. She protected them. She loved them. Now… it’s finally Gracie’s turn. Meet Mama Gracie. When Gracie came to us, she wasn’t just a stray… she was a mom. She arrived with her puppies and a body that showed just how much she had sacrificed for them. She was incredibly thin — nothing but bones — because she was giving every bit of herself to keep her babies going. And that’s what makes Gracie so special. Even when she needed help herself, she was still being the best mama she could be. Her puppies have all found their forever homes… and now this beautiful girl is ready for hers.Look at Gracie now! We couldn’t be anymore happier! She has gained weight, gained confidence, and is finally getting the chance to just be a dog.Gracie is sweet, loving, and full of personality. She bonds quickly with her people and will happily be your shadow. She’s also a strong, enthusiastic girl who sometimes forgets she isn’t a tiny lap dog — her excitement can come out as a little “bulldozer mode” because she just wants to be close, play, and soak up attention.Like many bully breeds, Gracie is loyal and protective of her people. She’s been working on meeting new people and learning that new friends can be a good thing. Her perfect family will be one that gives her patience, structure, and lots of love while she continues to grow.Gracie may do best as the only dog in the home, but meet-and-greets can be discussed. We are still unsure how she would do with cats. Her puppies had their happy ending… now this amazing mama is waiting for hers. Could Gracie be the missing piece to your family? Ask about her today!Adoption information•3 years old •Spayed •Current for yearly vaccines •Microchipped •Unsure of cats•Good with kids•Bully breed experience would be good Adoption Forms - Lakeland Animal ShelterYou can call 262-723-1000 or email us at lakelandanimalshelter@gmail.com Please remember dog meetings are by an appointment with an approved application. Story
This boy would live in the car if you would let him. He's calm and quiet as a mouse in the house . Loves to sleep in bed. Doesn't much care for leash walks . Shares his food nicely with others and plays so well at doggy daycare. He's truly a gem and if we didn't have 3 dogs already he would be a keeper hands down !
