Story
Roo is a 3-year-old American Cocker Spaniel with a big heart and a deep love for fetch. He truly lights up when he’s chasing a ball—it’s his favorite thing in the world and when he seems the most at ease. Roo thrives on structure, routine, and quiet one-on-one time with someone who understands his needs. We adopted Roo as a puppy and have worked hard to support him through behavioral training and care. He’s deeply bonded to his people and loves being near them. That said, Roo struggles with anxiety and has a history of fear-based behavior, including growling and occasional snapping/biting when overwhelmed or overstimulated. Because of this, he cannot be placed in a home with children or with people unfamiliar with managing reactive dogs. Roo needs a home with: No children, No other pets (or a very experienced handler who can manage slow, safe introductions), A calm, stable environment, Someone with experience in dog behavior or a willingness to continue working with a behaviorist
