Shemar is an 11-year-old Cocker Spaniel-Poodle mix weighing 23.7 pounds, and he's as sweet as he is sensitive. He may be a little shy at first, but he finds comfort and confidence when he's around other dogs. This senior sweetheart has a calm, gentle nature and would love a peaceful home where he can feel safe, loved, and part of a caring pack. With time and patience, Shemar's quiet affection will shine through. If you're looking for a tender, well-mannered companion who enjoys canine company, Shemar might be the perfect match. --- Before being rescued, many of our dogs had limited socialization, so they may need some time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog's individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly. Adopt Me: Katie Lynn Age: 9.5 years Gender: Spayed Female Breed: Cocker Spaniel Weight: 25 lbs Location: Humansville, MO Katie Lynn is a sweet Cocker Spaniel who came to us from a commercial breeder. She's an adorable girl who has a blue eye and the prettiest chocolate coat of fur! She's lived her entire life producing puppies and now it's her time to shine. Katie is a shy girl as most of our commercial breeding dogs are. She will need a home willing to give her plenty of time and lots of patience as she learns to trust.
