Sweetie 🐾 | Senior Cocker Spaniel Sweetie is a 12 years, 8 months old Cocker Spaniel who is looking for a new home after her owner passed away in October. She has had regular veterinary care and routine grooming and has clearly been loved. Sweetie weighs about 45 lbs and needs some healthy weight loss. Her previous owner spoiled her with people food and treats, and the extra weight makes getting around a bit harder for her—but it certainly doesn’t stop her little stub tail from wagging. She’s an easygoing girl who enjoys companionship, cozy naps, and a calm routine. She is reported to be potty trained and will also use potty pads when needed. Sweetie is friendly with people, does well with other calm dogs (not hyper puppies), and is cat-friendly. Sweetie would thrive in a quiet, loving home that understands the needs of a senior dog and is happy to help her slim down at a gentle, healthy pace. In return, she offers steady companionship and plenty of tail wags. If you’re looking for a sweet senior companion and can offer Sweetie a soft place to land, she would love to meet you.

Story
Koda is a very chill, wiggly, fun 2 yr old dog. Best with an adult who is an experienced dog owner. Koda does well with older kids and other dogs. Here are his challenges: He is very friendly, but only when he knows you. He gets overwhelmed with new people, and may growl at strangers if they approach quickly trying to pet him without letting him warm up first. We have also struggled to find the right combination of food or allergy meds to keep him from scratching his ears all the time, but have not found the right combo yet. It helps to clean his ears regularly. Here are his strengths: He loves to snuggle, he loves playing with his ball, and he is really silly and so cute. He would be a great dog for someone who has time to give him, and resources to get him groomed regularly because his breed does have allergies. Overall he is an incredibly loving dog, and would do well with another dog or kids if they hit it off. He would do best with another quiet/calm dog or on his own.
