They have had a very rough life so far and just want to be in a forever home together. Ricky is spunky, sweet and has a sense of adventure. Lucy is blind and a bit fearful but once she knows she’s safe, she’ll be grateful with kisses. They have been waiting for their happily ever together. Story
Pomi was rescued from a kill shelter. Many of these dogs at the shelter have barely survived the hardships of street life, car accidents, or abuse, only to end up in shelters. But once they enter the shelter system, they often disappear completely from society’s view, living lives no different from death itself. WEACT's Pomi was found in the Hongseong County Shelter with a completely shattered pelvis. Examinations showed that the injury had occurred long ago and had been left untreated. But what broke our hearts the most was that, even with her body so damaged, she was still cradling her young puppies in her arms. Pomi, a strong mother who tried to protect her babies even in despair deeper than death. WEACT performed an emergency surgery to realign her broken bones and perform a bone graft, and Fomi is now steadily recovering.
