Story
Meet Kobe! Kobe is a 2-year-old male Eskimo with a big personality and lots of energy. He already knows basic commands like sit and up and is eager to continue learning with a patient, consistent adopter. Kobe is still working on his house training and crate training, so his future family should be prepared to help him build those skills through routine and positive reinforcement. He’s an active pup who will do best with regular exercise, enrichment, and clear structure. He can be reactive toward other dogs, cats, and passing cars, and he startles easily during thunderstorms or loud noises. Because of this, Kobe would thrive in a calm, predictable home as the only pet. A household without small or young children would be the best fit for him. A fenced yard is required. Kobe came to us when his previous family had to move and were unable to bring him along. He’s now looking for an experienced, understanding adopter who can provide patience, stability, and a loving forever home. Kobe currently weighs about 16lbs., is approximately 2 years old (est. birth date 09/02/2023), and his adoption fee is $510. Kobe has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. If you want to know more about Kobe, please complete a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you within 72 hours to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet. You must be at least 21 years of age to adopt.

Story
I got Iden when he was about 6 months in 2015 so yes, he is very old. He was born without a bark for some reason, and I didn't figure that out until he was about a year old. He's a good dog, just doesn't like children and other pets, he rather be alone. He does require some attention since he does get skin irritations and i think he has arthritis and i don't have time to take care of him anymore sadly. I have a 9-month-old baby that needs my care and another one on the way so i already have a lot going on. I just want him to go with someone he can depend on and get the affection he needs. Thank you!

Story
Meet Pineapple, a tiny, sweet, senior with a heart bursting at the seems with love! Almost 11 years old and weighing just 6 pounds, Pineapple is a precious Pomeranian who was rescued from a large hoarding case last year. Since then, she’s been learning what the good life is all about and has truly thrived in her foster home, where she’s been showered with patience, comfort, and plenty of spoiling. Because Pineapple is so tiny, she has a few special needs. Stairs are a no-go for this little lady, and she isn’t leash trained. She’ll need a secure, fenced yard that’s safe for a small breed so she can go potty comfortably. Due to her size, she also can’t be left unattended outside — she’s small enough that safety is a real concern. Pineapple is still working on her house-training, so her future family should be understanding and gentle as she continues learning. What Pineapple may lack in size, she more than makes up for in love. She’s a sweet, affectionate soul who wants nothing more than to be cherished and spoiled through her golden years. If you’re looking to open your heart and home to a senior who will repay you with endless devotion, Pineapple might be your perfect match. Pineapple weighs 6lbs and is approximately 10.5 years old (est. birth date 07/03/2015). Pineapple is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. Her adoption fee is $510. If you want more information about Pineapple, please submit a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. At this time, meeting our dogs is by appointment only. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet. Must be at least 21 years of age to adopt.

Story
Meet this tiny, senior queen with a big personality! You would never know this love bug was rescued as a senior from a nasty hoarding breeder. She is equal parts sweet and spunky, with a playful sparkle in her eyes and a whole lot of love to give. Whether she’s snuggled up for cuddles or trotting around with her signature sass, she brings joy and laughter wherever she goes. It’s hard to believe so much personality and love come out of this five pound ball of fluff! Penelope does have medical needs that are managed with medication. FurKids is planning to continue providing Penelope’s medical care (including food), so living local to the shelter will make her adopter’s life easier! While her medical care is not challenging, it does require daily attention. Penelope is mostly pee pad trained. She loves going for short walks, and has lived well with other small dogs. If you can’t wait to love this cuddle bug through her golden years, she will bring you plenty of joy in return! Penelope currently weighs about 7lbs., is almost 10 years old (est. birth date 07/02/2015), and her adoption fee is $85. Penelope is unable to be spayed due to her medical issues, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. If you want to know more about Penelope, please complete a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you within 72 hours to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet.
