Sullivan is handsome young boy who is ready to be someone’s best friend for life!! During a week-long stay in a foster home Sullivan did great! Here’s what his foster said:“Sullivan is a sleepy, quiet boy who loves lounging but also really enjoys long walks where he can see his surroundings and sniff everywhere. He also really enjoys car rides! He is gentle with other dogs and people who will give him attention and makes himself right at home. Sully is housebroken, leash trained (although he can be a puller) and was working on his crate training while with us. Sully prefers to be surrounded by loved ones rather than being left alone. He needs to learn positive associations with the crate and alone time but is a quick learner! While I had him, he picked up on new phrases, hand motions and learned ‘sit’ and ‘paw’.`Sullivan also spent two months in another home- here’s what we learned from both of his foster families:- He loves cheese! String cheese, cheese wiz, shredded cheese, really any type of cheese is his favorite snack! - He doesn’t care for toys but enjoys enrichment activities such searching for treats hidden in blankets or a Kong- He sleeps sometimes with his arms and legs in the air, often signaling that he wants his belly rubbed.- He loves to sleep next to you in the bed and will take up the entire bed, so squeeze in before he hops on!- He’s done great with older kids- He did well with the resident dog and a visiting smaller dog- He is VERY smart and as sweet as can be Sullivan has a gentle personality and tons of fans at the shelter. Here’s what one of them had to say:“Sullivan is a sweet, sensitive soul who needs a little bit of time to feel comfortable, but once he does, he is the SWEETEST pup you’ll ever meet. I have been taking he and his kennelmate to a play yard and Sullivan spends the whole time by my side, soaking up pets. He’s a leaner too! If I stop petting him too soon (which is always), he gently repositions himself to let me know my job isn’t done. We aren’t sure if Panchita’s legal name is actually Francisca (she doesn’t have a driver’s license to show us), but we sure do find her endearing, so the name fits! He`s crate/x-pen trained, but doesn`t really need it. He`s got a lot of the basics, but we`re still working on `stay`.6.Details on personal history, if known (how did he/she arrive at the shelter): Elden came to the shelter as part of a hoarding case. He`d lived outside and had very little exposure to the big wide world. Everyone in the southwest loves Fajitas, and there’s also so much to love about our sweet little pup, Fajita! This gal has not had it easy, finding herself at risk due to serious overcrowding in November 2025. She was fostered but recently turned up at a shelter in a different county, so she’s made her way back to PACC.Fajita originally came to the shelter as a stray and while shy, made huge progress with the help of her volunteer friends. She gained confidence and learned routines, with some of her fans saying the following:“Fajita is a sensitive little girl who is learning to trust. In her time at the shelter, she has begun to learn that people are nice and we are here to care for her. She came in extremely under socialized and fearful of most handling. We have learned that treats are the way to her heart and she will approach handlers for treats and even come by for drive-by chin scratches! She`s a dog who feels most comfortable when she has a friendly, confident doggy friend around and this will probably be key in helping her to settle into a new home. She`s a darling little girl who we believe will thrive outside of the shelter.” “Oh my goodness, Fajita is such a great girl!! She is such a fun puppy who is gaining confidence! I had her in a play yard with her kennelmate and sat on the ground. She was running zoomies around the play yard and ran right into my arms, letting me tickle and play with her before she zoomed off! When her kennelmate came over for snuggles, she did too, allowing me to pet her face and body. She is spunky and fun!
