Story
Hi! My name is Bonita and I'm at the Santa Maria Campus. I'm a 1 year old, female, Staffordshire Terrier Mix who came to SB Humane to find a new home. I am somewhere in between a couch potato and a playful potato. I have a goofy smile and I am a people- pleaser. I have no formal training so I am hoping to find a home that will help to set me up for success. My friends here at the shelter are teaching me everyday and they tell me I am so smart. I would love to spend my days and nights with you cuddling on a couch or going on long hikes in the hills. I am a very active dog and am ready to create adventurous memories! Interested in meeting me? Adoption Centers are open daily 12-4:30pm, closed Wednesdays. Adoptions are on a first-come first served basis. For more information please email Adopt@SBHumane.org or call 805-964-4777. When I am adopted, I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. My adopters will receive a certificate for a free veterinary exam and our partners at Purina will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home. Our adoption fees help support our community programs and the next animal who needs our help

Story
Meet Fievel, the handsome 7-year-old boy who is looking for his forever home. Fievel is a sweet and sensitive dog who can be a bit shy when meeting new people. But once he gets to know you, he'll quickly become your best friend. Fievel is a socially dog selective dog, which means he does not get along with all dogs. He prefers the company of calm and gentle dogs who will give him his space. For this reason, he would do best as the only dog in the household. But he is wonderful walking with other dogs or meeting dogs in public. Despite his shyness, Fievel is a playful and active dog who loves to go for walks and play fetch in the yard. He's also a smart boy who already knows some basic commands and is eager to learn more. Fievel needs a patient and understanding family who will give him the time and space he needs to settle into his new home. He would do best in a quiet and calm environment without too much noise and moderate activity. If you're looking for a quirky and goofy companion who will be your loving and snuggly friend, Fievel might be the perfect fit for you. Contact us today to schedule a meeting!

Action! Adventure! Comedy! Fun! This pint-sized pittie girl is the complete package! Her favorite activity is tug and her favorite toy is a tennis ball or 3 that she likes to carry all at the same time in her mouth! She lives to play with her toys! But China is also looking for a person to give her all to, to connect with, and to love. She's as smart as a whip, kid friendly and loves to go for car rides. While she is tolerant of other dogs, they don't hold a candle to a human's attention! We think she would prefer to live as an only dog. Unfortunately her first few years of life were not very kind. She lived chained to a tree and was starved. This made her a little hesitant to trust other dogs and people, so she can be a little shy at first and sometimes reactive of other dogs when on leash. But once you get to know her, she's full-throttle fun and also a superb snuggler. She knows sit, down, touch, and high-five! She loves water, whether it's a kiddie pool or a river and somehow always finds the mud! If you're looking for some excitement and a dog who will make you laugh, look no further than China! Story
Sometimes we all need someone to cut us a little slack and take a chance on us. Tia, a 6 yr old petite little pittie girl, has found herself in that boat. She has spent the last 450 days in a shelter and while the first few months were not so bad (in fact she was such a good girl she was frequently chosen to be the office dog) as time wore on shelter life took it's toll on Tia. She had a few temporary foster homes, a surgery to help repair a ligament injury on her back leg and though everyone was just trying to help Tia, the whole experience left her feeling a bit out of sorts. But the good news is that once in a quiet home environment, with a person she trusts, Tia just curls up like a furry little couch potato and wants to drift off to dreamland while you catch up on your Netflix list. Tia needs stability, quiet and understanding so she can decompress and shake off the last year of her life. We are trying to help her find a home without kids or other pets, and a human companion that enjoys a quiet lifestyle. Tia comes with our full support and has a good human friend that is a trainer. So, whatever Tia and her friend or family need to succeed, we will will provide it. She just needs someone willing to give her that chance. If that's you, please fill out our online adoption questionnaire and we'll get in touch to have a chat about Tia.

Story
Part of a BONDED PAIR. Reggie & Reya are the adorable duo you've been dreaming of! These gorgeous sweethearts are bursting with energy and love. Reggie & Reya may be a little wild and mischievous at times, but their hearts are as big as can be. These medium-energy pups are always up for a good time, whether it's snuggling up on the couch, romping around the yard, or chasing after their favorite ball. Their friendly and outgoing personalities make them a hit with everyone they meet, and they're sure to bring endless joy to their new family. It's important to mention that Reggie & Reya need a home with a strong fence to keep them safe, as they can be quite the escape artists when they're feeling adventurous. Additionally, they're not fans of cats and prefer to be the only pets in the household. If you're looking for a pair of sweet and playful pups who would love nothing more than to love and be loved, look no further than Reggie & Reya. Contact us to schedule a meet & greet, and prepare to fall in love!
