Story
LONG STAY ALERT!! Josie is a 2 year old, 35-lb Pittie mix with a happy, loving personality and a big zest for life. She’s been waiting since August for her perfect match and is more than ready to find her forever home. Josie is housebroken, crate trained, and knows basic commands like sit and crate. She’s currently working on leash skills and manners, especially polite greetings. She’s friendly and outgoing without being overwhelming and would thrive with an active adopter who also enjoys cuddle time. JOSIE NEEDS TO BE AN ONLY PET. While she lives with other dogs in foster care, she does best when she doesn’t have to share and doesn't have to manage the energy of other dogs. She has also shown prey drive toward cats & squirrels. Josie has blossomed in her foster home. She is affectionate, loyal, and eager to bond deeply with her person. She just needs someone willing to see past the labels and give her the chance she deserves. Josie is looking for: • A home where she is the only pet • An adopter who enjoys adventure and companionship • A fenced yard (privacy fence required) • Someone committed to continued training Adoption Info: We adopt and transport throughout much of the United States. Story
*Woof* Meet me at 71 Oglethorpe St NW between 12pm-7pm daily!Hello my name`s Buffy -- I may not be fluffy, but I have the biggest smile and can walk mile after mile, this is how happy and full of energy I am. Everyone who has met me at the shelter immediately is taken by my gregarious nature and my heart-conquering sweet face. There is not a soul here whose face doesn`t light up when they see me! I have also been acquiring some basic manners. I am doing pretty well with sit (A) and am a decent leash walker (B/B+). Apparently, I am getting a B- for `four on the floor`, but I think that skill is slightly overrated (especially when it`s pure joy that makes you jump!). I am, however, willing to work on this skill as well if the reward is appropriate (cheese anyone?). I love my walks and I am planning on going on many long hikes in my future life. If that`s in your plans too and you need a happy companion, I am here for you!

*Woof* Come to 71 Oglethorpe Street to meet me today!Kelly Ketchup is just like her name- as sweet as can be! Kelly may take a moment to warm up, but once she does, she’s pure love. She’s a tender, loving girl who would thrive in a patient, peaceful home where she can continue to grow her confidence and share her sweet little soul.

Story
Meet Athena, a beautiful 7-year-old Pit Mix (60–65 lbs, medium size) with a stunning Blue and Tan coat. She's a mature, resilient adult looking for her permanent home. I rescued her at age 2, and she's been a cherished family member since. Personality: She is the ultimate cuddler! Athena loves relaxing on the couch and is happiest sunbathing or going on her daily walk. Training: Athena is house trained and knows basic commands, like sit and stay. Bonded Pair Requirement: Athena is bonded with her brother, Casper (Mini Poodle). They must be adopted together. He also has a profile available. Dog Reactivity: Athena is dog-reactive toward strange adult dogs, especially females. She is gentle and accepts new male puppies readily. Skin Allergy: She has a skin allergy managed with diet and medication. Adopters must continue management with their vet.
