Story
Don't get lost in those beautiful brown eyes! KaeJah is a doll when walking on leash and likes to get her sniffies in. Back at home, she'd prefer being cuddled up on the couch with her humans over anything else. This sweet and calm couch potato is two years old. She is gentle and politely watches her human foster sibling who is only four months old. She celebrated the holidays with older children and did well then, too! More information to come after her decompression period! ADOPTION DISCLAIMER: At Perfectly Paired Pitties (P3), we aim to provide accurate information about all of our animals to the best of our abilities. That said, we cannot guarantee that any dog is housebroken or crate trained and cannot promise any specifics regarding an animal's breed, size, health, behavior, temperament, or other conditions. Story
Meet Daisy, the "who needs a personal space bubble?" cuddle queen with a heart as big as her 67.4-pound frame! This happy-go-lucky girl is a lovable pitbull/bat/cow mix (yes, we’re serious, she’s that cool) who’s about to turn 2 years old in May. She's the best snuggler you could ever ask for—her favorite place is always someone's lap, so if you’re into lap dogs, she’s your girl! Daisy may have a medium energy level, but she’s all about those walks, playtime, and mental stimulation. She’s a tug-of-war champ, and let’s just say when she’s not winning at tug-of-war, she’s busy thinking about food (she LOVES all the food, which is why she's on a diet to keep her stunning figure). But don't let that fool you—she’s crate trained, potty trained, and knows a whole bunch of tricks like sit, paw, touch, and down! She’s got those manners down! Daisy loves other dogs, especially if they’re up for some playtime. She would thrive in a home with a playful dog sibling who can keep her entertained and help burn off that energy. She’s good with older kids and would fit right in with an active family who can help her continue her training (she might need a little help with not jumping on humans and polishing her walking skills—no biggie, though!). Daisy had a rough start, ending up at the PG County shelter as a stray and almost losing her chance at a happily ever after. But we couldn’t let that happen, so we swooped in and saved her life. She’s been with us since June 2024, and now she’s ready for a forever home that will love her goofy, joyful self just as much as we do. Could that be with you? -------------------------------------- ADOPTION DISCLAIMER: At Perfectly Paired Pitties (P3), we aim to provide accurate information about all of our animals to the best of our abilities. Story
Moonpie recently came into our care after being placed on the urgent list at PG County. She is a lovable, goofy, and fun-loving pup who's ready to bring joy into your home! She’s crate trained, house trained, and already knows some basic commands like sit and down. If you’re looking for a smart, playful companion, Moonpie is your girl—she loves a good puzzle challenge (although she’s been known to cheat a little by flipping them upside down for an easier way out!). This playful girl absolutely loves meeting new people and makes friends everywhere she goes. She also enjoys her chew toys and bully sticks, and she’s quite the expert at working her way through them. Moonpie is currently living with a senior dog and enjoying the company, but a playful pup is much more her style. If you're looking for a sweet, clever pup who will bring tons of fun and excitement to your life, Moonpie could be your perfect match. Story
Meet Bones, the pint sized (at 42lbs) lovable snuggler with a heart of gold! Whether you’re reading a book, cooking in the kitchen, or just relaxing at home, Bones is always by your side—ready to be your loyal companion. He’s an expert sous chef who’s happy to assist in any food prep (especially if it involves treats), and when it comes to fashion, he’s most likely to win the "Best Dressed" award, effortlessly rocking a cozy sweater. Bones is crate trained and house trained, making him an easygoing homebody who enjoys the quieter side of life. He’s perfectly content lounging with his people or taking peaceful walks to show off his good leash skills. While he loves his family and welcomes guests with a wagging tail, Bones tends to keep a low profile when out in the neighborhood, preferring to keep his distance from strangers. Though he’s curious about other dogs, Bones is still figuring out the best way to make doggy friends. But rest assured, he’s always entertaining his people—his foster mom says, “He is a RIOT! The funniest dog we've had. He's truly a delight!” If you're looking for a snuggly, charming, and slightly quirky companion, Bones might just be your perfect match! Story
Huey’s story almost ended too soon. He was saved from euthanasia at an overcrowded shelter and now, every day is a second chance — and he’s learning just how beautiful life can be. Huey is a sweet, sensitive soul who’s looking for a patient, loving home to call his own. New places and new faces can be a little overwhelming for him at first, but once he feels safe, his goofy, affectionate personality shines through. He’s incredibly eager to please and very food motivated (especially if string cheese is involved!). This handsome boy is crate trained, house trained, and knows “sit,” and he’s working on “paw” with his foster mom. He would love a family willing to continue guiding him with kindness and consistency as he grows into the wonderful dog he’s meant to be. Huey has medium energy — he enjoys playing but is just as happy curling up for a cozy snuggle. He’s the ultimate living room sidekick, always ready to be near his people. He would thrive in a calmer setting (he much prefers the quiet of the suburbs over busy city life) and might be happiest as the only dog, so he can soak up all the love and attention he’s been waiting for. With his bouncy ears, big soulful eyes, and milk-chocolate coat, Huey is pure charm — but it’s his gentle, trusting heart that will truly steal yours. If you’re ready to offer patience, love, and a slower-paced life to a pup who will adore you forever, Huey is waiting to meet you. Astro isn’t just a dog—he’s a 50-pound bundle of joy with an iconic baby seal face and a heart full of love! At just 2 years old, this happy-go-lucky pup is the perfect mix of playful energy and snuggly sweetness. If you’re looking for an adventure buddy, Astro is your guy! He lives for fetch, loves long walks, and will keep up with whatever fun you have planned. But don’t worry—once playtime is over, he’s all about curling up with his people (or his foster sister) for some well-earned snuggles. Astro was saved from the PG County urgent list, and his foster parents can’t stop raving about him! He’s smart, food-motivated, and picking up new skills fast. He walks beautifully on a leash and is learning tons from his foster dog sister—though he can be a goofy little brother, always wanting to do what she does (including stealing her toys!). Because of his playful interest in cats, he’d likely do best in a cat-free home. Astro would thrive in a home with another dog who enjoys puppy antics, but he’d also do great as your one-and-only adventure partner. His affectionate, happy spirit makes every day brighter—because with Astro by your side, there’s no such thing as a bad day! 💫 Ready to meet Astro? I miss them a lot, but Im a resilient pup, and Im looking ahead to a brighter future! My foster family describes me as an angel. Im an affectionate cuddle bug who loves people and other dogs! I go to daycare a few days a week, and I love seeing all my friends there! Im also a huge fan of dog parks, playdates, and anytime I get to hang out with my four legged friends! I walk well on leash, and I already know how to sit! Im also practicing touch, and leave it. Did I mention that Im crate trained too?? Im great at learning new tricks, especially when snacks are involved! Speaking of which, one funny thing about me is that I like my kibble better than fancy treats! My foster thinks Im silly, but really Im just appreciative of any snack I can get! I would be a great dog for someone who hasnt had one before, because Im pretty mellow, and easy to train. Ive been through some hard times, but things are looking up now! Ive learned so much already, like how to go up stairs, and sleep in beds, and about the joy of eating cheese! I love spending time with my foster family, especially my doggy foster sibling! Some of my favorite things to do are going for walks and hikes, and playing with toys! My foster family says that Im a really brave pup. Nothing phases me while Im out on an adventure! Im not afraid of thunder or loud sounds, and I never bark at other people or dogs. Im also really good on leash, and dont pull at all! Another great thing about me is that I'm super friendly, and love meeting new people and dogs!As if that wasnt enough already, Im also one smart cookie! I already know how to sit and shake paws! Ill be sure to show you when we meet! Im also crate trained and potty trained! I love learning tricks and getting treats. My foster says Im super easy to train, because Im eager to please and love snacks! So, if youre looking for a loyal, loving canine companion who will keep you laughing, Im your guy! Story
Stella is looking for their forever home! WHAT MY FOSTER SAYS: Stella is one of the most low maintenance fosters I've ever had the pleasure of helping find a forever home. From being a shy, scared, and timid girl to being confident, secure, and well-mannered, Stella has grown so much in the 2+ years I've known her; although the vacuum cleaner is still enemy #1. Stella has lived in all types of settings: in a busy city, in an apartment, on a quiet street, with dogs, with reactive dogs, and easily adapted to her home environment. She is crate trained and LOVES having a bed in her crate to curl up into a donut while you're at work. She knows every basic command like sit, down, touch, stay and is fully potty trained. Stella's favorite toy is a lambie, or something else that is tiny that she can carry around in her mouth. Once, she took care of an egg for 6 hours before it broke, she's the most gentle creature. Stella is made of love and French fries. There's nothing more that she wants than to be inside with her people, cuddled up on the couch with a show, or playing sous chef in a calm kitchen. She takes awhile to warm up to her people, but with some french fires (her favorite is Burger King), some space, and a bit of patience, she'll love you unconditionally and will likely knock you over from wagging her tail and wiggling so hard with excitement every time she sees you. Although Stella is a perfect girl in the home, on leash, and with other dogs, she is scared of human strangers, especially masculine presenting people, and will need a strong advocate to help keep her safe. If you're looking for a great addition to your calm and cozy life with unconditional love to give, Stella is the gal for you. Stella would do best living with queer folks, a home without cis-gendered men, without cats, and without small children. ATTRIBUTES: Stella has lived in foster with other dogs, but can not go to a home with kids, cats, or cis-gendered men. -------------- Laila's Legacy Animal Rescue does not guarantee that any dog is housebroken nor crate trained.
