Story
One of the best things about adopting a dog who has been in a foster home is that you already know how they are in the home! Take adoptable Priscilla, for example... While she was in the shelter, we had no idea if she was house-trained, destructive when left out, able to live in a home with another dog, could learn to trust new people, what kind of personality she had, etc. Thanks to her fosters, we now know ALL of those answers! Priscilla does great at being house-trained and lets you know when she needs to go out, is able to be left out without being destructive while her foster parents are out and about, loves her dog foster-sibling, has done wonderful meeting new people with a proper intro, and is the most snuggly, playful sweetheart! Priscilla is about two years old and is spayed. She takes a couple of minutes to get to know new people but clearly is a lovebug once she knows you! Priscilla has done well meeting other friendly, playful, and energetic dogs. We think she'd do best with kiddos about 11ish and older. Call us at 219-872-4499 if you want to adopt this special sweetheart.

Story
It is impossible to not feel happiness and joy when we get to hang out with Diamond. Her gleeful personality is contagious and she makes everyone smile around her. Whether she is in two feet of snow or is snuggling up in the office, Diamond is wonderful to be around. Diamond's ideal adopter would be someone who likes to snuggle close to their dog. She likes to sit right next to you and ask for belly rubs once she knows you. She's met kiddos around 8-years-old and she had full body wiggles when she saw them! She's done best interacting with equally playful and friendly male dogs. Diamond would prefer no kitties. So, she's quite versatile! She could be adopted into a home with or without kiddos as well as with or without dog friends (depending on the resident pup!) When we're outside with her, she'll get short spurts of zoomie energy. She makes us laugh because her zoomies aren't exactly of normal zooming speed, but she sure tries! Then Diamond rolls over for belly rubs and will kerplop onto your lap for cuddle and affection. Diamond would love to go for car rides so her big ears can flutter out the window. We think she'd also enjoy a beach or neighborhood walkie, and then curling up on the couch to watch TV. She'll be a wonderful family dog to a lucky family. She is about five years old, is spayed, and is an absolute pleasure to be around.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Hank is the epitome of a good boy, and has the best manners! He knows how to sit, lay down, stay, come, and is learning how to shake paws! He loves snuggling and has no idea that he is a bigger boy to be a lap dog! He will lay politely right next to you, if asked! Otherwise, he'll be as close as allowed because he is such a love bug. Hank is one of the most people-oriented dogs you will meet. On his field trips, he wants to say hello to each and every person he meets! Including respectful kiddos! As far as other furry friends go, Hank does well when he sees dogs out in public! He has adorable play bows and interacts nicely. In the home, though, he asked us to relay that he would prefer it to be just him! He has tested positive for Lyme disease, so, it is very important for whoever adopts him to continue tick prevention. He is about two and a half years old and is neutered.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Hi everyone, I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Daisy Mae. I'm about 46-pounds, am a little over one and a half years old, and I'm spayed. I'm one of those gentle nonstop-wiggling sweethearts once I am comfortable. I have done well meeting new people, but I like to take my time when doing so. Could you be patient with me so we can become best friends? The humans here say that I have this sweetness about me that will inevitably melt your heart. I've done so well around other dog friends, too! Since I am a younger girl, it would be nice for other dogs in the home to be somewhat active and energetic like I can be. I'm not sure what I think about kitties yet. I do think as long as your children are respectful that I would be such an amazing fursister to them. I really love people. The humans think that I would love an adopter who wanted to cuddle with me. Fast, intense movements aren't my favorite, so a chill lifestyle is the lifestyle for me. Craziness is too crazy! Let's be calm and cool together. When taking treats, I am just as polite as when I meet someone. I would love to keep learning new behaviors. I'm super smart! I think my ideal day would be one where we can go for a morning walkie and start the day together. Then maybe a nappy-nap and then some cuddles. I cannot wait to make your family complete. Love, Daisy Mae.

Not good with cats, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
It's hard not to be cheerful with a name like Rainbow Bright! I am estimated to be 1 year and I weigh 55 pounds. I was named after my rainbow collar that I had on when I was found. I had on a brand new collar and I was healthy, but my people never came for me! I am so happy to be with other dogs. I can't be placed with cats. The shelter can't believe that I wasn't reclaimed. I'm a great girl. I love to play with Kyler, and Gamora. They're my buddies. I am hoping to live in a home with other dogs. I know how to sit. I love every one I meet! I have the cutest crooked little bottom teeth and the brightest smile!

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Hi, I'm Sasha. I am such a pretty girl. I am 52 pounds. I'm 4 years and 3 months old. I was lost by my owner and she looked for me quite often at the shelter. Someone found me, and didn't make a found report..The finder kept me and used me for puppies, and then discarded me. He tied me up to a pole. Someone posted a video of her being dumped on a local lost and found site and my owners recognized me and they were able to be reunited with me. A month later I got lost again and ended up at the shelter for the second time. The shelter does not know how I got loose. An officer put reclaim papers on my owners door, emailed and called her but she never came in to reclaim me. I am here for a new start. I'm a little bit rambunctious because I just want all of the love I can receive. If you sit down with me and pet me I calm down. I match energy. I'm a beautiful girl that really deserves a forever home. I really enjoy leash walks and honestly just good company. I am food motivated and know sit and lay down. I am good with children. I get along with other dogs The shelter got me spayed, and up to date on my vaccinations.
