Not good with cats, Needs special attention, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Pitopotamus is a sweet and goofy lady who has no idea she is a senior. She does have ongoing medical issues including requiring a prescripion diet for her skin. She gets baths once weekly with a medicated shampoo. This routine seems to be working very well for her. She does also have a sensitive stomach so doesnt get treats or human food. She was labeled as dog aggressive, however, she has gone two years with no incidents and has been introduced to several new dogs. She also was labeled as cat aggressive however has only shown mild interest in cats(always separated by kennel door) unless they swat her then she barks. Due to the risks she needs to be in a home with no cats and mild tempered dogs, with an experienced and patient owner she likely could live with a housemate. Never been around children but is quite clumsy so might knock them over. Her adoption fee would go as a negative credit on her account to go towards future medical care. Up to date on vaccines and prevention!

Story
Shiloh was rescued from a local shelter. She was extremely shy when we pulled her from the shelter and still can be shy when meeting new people or doing new things. She is most comfortable when she knows her surroundings. She is good with calmer, quieter kids and other dogs. She does not tolerate cats. Shiloh loves to cuddle and she's a great kisser! She will do best in a quiet structured environment. Since she doesn't like change, she never has tried to run away! A great dog for someone that works at home and is a couch potato! Story
Zeus is usually a pretty mellow guy unless he sees something he wants to chase. He gets along well with dogs he knows but needs slow introductions with new dogs. He is good with kids. Zeus had his back right leg amputated when he was a pup after being hit by a car. His front right paw needs special attention also due to the way it healed. Zeus also has reoccurring bouts with gastritis, so his diet needs to be monitored. Story
Meet Rizby!! Rizby is a 3 year old Pitbull. Rizby came to us emaciated (seen in his last picture) A wonderful family found him on the side of the road in Pender County and was seeking help, once we seen his condition we knew we had to help him. ,Rizby underwent his Heartworm treatment, He is neutered, UTD on his vaccinations and microchipped. He absolutely adores people especially children. We are not sure about other dogs but definitely no kitty cats. Rizby will need an experienced handler. We reached out to Jeff Coltenback who is an amazing dog trainer to help us with Rizby and will be boarding him for 30 days. If interested in Rizby please call 910-259-7022

Story
THIS IS A COURTESY LISTING PLEASE CONTACT mdickey78@gmail.com / 703-926-9527 IF INTERESTED Good morning. I have a VERY sweet pit rescue that we got in August who is around 2.5 years old. Once we got him home it was clear he had some dog aggression issues. We hired a trainer and he completed the training, but was not able to be introduced to other dogs by the end of it. He escaped one day and got to a smaller dog in the neighborhood and had a negative interaction with him where he picked him up in his mouth and swung him around. Thankfully there were no injuries. We sent him to a 6 week program where he did great and didn't show any aggression to other dogs and was shock collar trained. His first day home he slipped out of his collar and leash and went after another dog. Again, no injuries, but it has become clear that our neighborhood is not the right home for him. He would do great in a more secluded environment where there are less opportunities for meeting other dogs and where he can be a little more relaxed. He is on Prozac which has helped him overall tremendously. He's great with people and kids.

These pups are in Wilmington, North Carolina too!

Story
I acquired her from a kill shelter and she was found tied to a sign. They said she was okay with other dogs but it turns out she isn’t. She’s so sweet with people but I can’t have her with my other dog. I hope someone can foster or adopt her she deserves a great life. She loves to snuggle in your lap and wants all the attention she can get! She’s playful but can also be calm she’s the full package!

Maya, at 8 years old, is a sweet, calm, cuddle bug. She likes nothing more than to give kisses and to share the couch with her best friend....you! She is so happy when you come home and will greet you with her favorite toy to celebrate. She is coming along with her leash walking and prefers to be an only pet. She travels fairly well. Maya is smart and intuitive. She feels safest and happiest when indoors. She is loving and very loyal to her people.
