Story
Boba is a very good girl, but our home is not the right fit for her. We adopted her from the Guthrie Animal Shelter during a rough time, thinking a new companion would be beneficial. However, we are unable to allocate the time and resources to train her and give her the life she deserves. Some positives: - She is a cuddle bug. She will curl up in the chair with you and sleep all day. - She has never had one accident inside. - She came to us crate-trained. She goes to her crate when it is time to bed and will sleep in as late as you want. - She loves her people. We have never had a dog as loving as her. Some negatives: - She is not cat-friendly. We have tried to work on this with no improvements - she tries to attack our cat if they are in the house at the same time. - We do not take her on many walks. When we do, she is excited, but she is too strong for us and is aggressive toward dogs and children. We do have a second dog that she gets along with, but it took time to adjust.

Story
Hank and his siblings were born to a feral mom.  Rescue by a kind person.  We took on 3 of the pups.  He is a happy playful boy that is doing pretty good adjusting to house life.  He can be a bit of a barker.  He has some interest in cats, but I think with proper introductions they would do ok. Having someone to play with and teach him the ropes would be optimum. There are many breeds in this mixed batch of pups,February 18, 2025, 6:33 pm

Story
Hey, my name is Dora.  I am six years old and I weigh over fifty pounds.  I came to the rescue after I was found in the woods with a new puppy.  Sadly, I had five but when they found me there had been a lot of rain and only one was alive.  I did my best but there was so much water.  Anyways, I took care of Daisy until she was old enough to leave my side and its time for me to find a home of my own. I did have a home for awhile but they returned me to the rescue because they said their life was going to change in a big way and I didn't fit in anymore. Oh well, can you love me forever??   I feel young and playful. I like most other dogs and cats don't really interest me...to be honest I don't care about chickens either.  I must confess I like the male dogs better, well they are so handsome! Toys are ok and running in the fenced yard is fun.  Please don't misunderstand I want to live in the house with you and just play and potty outside.  I have been working with a trainer and all my basic manners.  Do you have time to spend with me? I get so excited to see you.  I want to love you and have a real home I can call ours.   I have been spay, vaccinated and microchipped.  I am current on heartworm/flea/tick preventatives.  My adoption fee is 150.00.  The first step in adopting me is to complete an application for Dora at dogsasfamily.org.  I think a home and family is the best thing ever.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 5, 2025, 8:26 am

Meet Nola, the ultimate snuggle bug! This sweet mama was rescued from a tough spot with her 8 tiny babies, and she's been blooming ever since. Now, she's all about spreading love and snuggles. Food motivates her, but really, all she needs is a comfy spot and someone to call her own. Nola's got a heart of gold, gets along with everyone - people, pets, kids, you name it! She's a pro at kennel life and loves to chill with a chew toy or 5. If you're looking for a laid-back, loving companion, Nola's your gal! ##2558739##

Story
KobeHi my name is Kobe. I'm 3 years old and looking for my forever home again. I'm just a big boy who loves to chew up tennis balls to find out why they squeak. I'm an early morning alarm clock without a snooze button for you early risers. I could use a little work on leash training. I am a good boy that doesn't realize my strength sometimes.I really like special treats like scrambled eggs, sliced apples and watermelon as well as regular treats. ##2356495##
