Story
This beautiful, sweet, and gentle boy here is Tabor. Tabor came from a hard medical past and is now healthy and thriving as he looks forward to his future with his very own people! Tabor’s foster family has learned a lot about him and therefore have a lot to share. Tabor is such a loving boy and has so much love he wants to share with his people. We cannot put into words how special Tabor is; you’ll just have to meet him to know! Tabor’s foster family has fallen in love with him and knows tears will be shed when it’s finally Tabor’s turn to leave the shelter behind him and go home with his furever family. Tabor is about 6 years old and is the epitome of man’s best friend. He is very loyal and listens very well. He will need a home where he can be inside with his people and be let out to use the bathroom and play (he can use the doggy door). Tabor is trusted to be loose in his foster’s home and doesn’t need a kennel. He will lay down and sleep just fine with a doggie bed out in the open or even in a little nook of the house. He has been working on kennel training and does very well once he trusts his people to let him out whenever he goes in. So far, he can be in the kennel for about 4 hours while we’re running errands. If you’re in the room with him then there’s no problem since he can see you and knows he’s safe. Although he’d rather lay his head on your lap!Patience while kennel training will be required as the kennel can cause too much stress on his body which was a problem with his medical past.Tabor goes to work during the day with his foster dad and he hangs out with the other employees and other dogs. He loves jumping in the car and going to work. It means more time with his people. He will need someone who will be patient and laugh with him when they learn that he has figured out how to open doors when his family is on the other side of it. He even figured out how to open one of the baby gates when we told him he wasn’t allowed to jump over it. Technically he didn’t break the rule! He follows his people around everywhere in the house. He’s very gentle but will sometimes walk right on your feet. Tabor is exclusively eating Purina One brand dog food and he has 1.5 cups of dry food with 0.5 can of the Tender Cut wet food 2 times a day. He also loves to have a treat once every other day! (We know this diet works to keep him healthy and prevent history from repeating.) Tabor needs someone who understands his past medical history and will be attentive to ensuring it doesn’t happen again.Tabor would do best in home without cats but is GREAT with dogs and wants to meet everyone. Tabor is a wonderful dog, the best boy, and a loving companion. He deserves a wonderful home to live the rest of his best days.

Story
Why yes, I'd LOVE to have a second helping of handsome hunk CHASE! Chase is just the best folks and when you meet him, you'll quickly understand why. During play time and eval time, every time I turned around, I saw a volunteer with Chase. No one could resist this charming guy who just wanted to softly drape himself in your lap and really just anywhere on you. He was that roll of Charmin toilet paper that you just want to squeeze and hug!! LOL. Outside of his charming, loving, doting side, Chase was ""all in"" for a game of fetch with the open lattice, soft gummy football thingy. He was quick on his feet to go get it and then also bring it right back to you. His talents also extend with other dogs. He really enjoys them and will seek them out, he's great with them and seems sated to be near them. If Chase is not draped in your lap, he's up for some soft wrestling and play time with his human so don't think that activity is limited to other dogs alone! Chase arrived as a very, very thin and depleted stray. He's finally at a good weight and in good health now and ready to give back. Will you be the one to give this guy who is loaded with personality the loving, fulfilling pet position he so desires? He sure hopes so!

Story
Ronald is a happy go lucky boy that was found as a stray so not quite sure of his exact age. He is up to date on shots and neutered. Ronald is heartworm positive but is currently being treated and the medication to continue his treatment will be provided to the adopter free of charge. He loves getting affection and kisses. He's a good car rider and is content to have his head out the window. He loves his squeaky ball and is content playing with it by himself. He gets along with the senior dog in his foster home. He knows how to use a doggy door and appears to be ok with children. Reaction to cats is unknown. Ronald recently completed training at Sit Means Sit. Check out his video and pics! His training package included 1 year of group lessons which will transfer to any adopter. https://www.facebook.com/SitMeansSitCharlotte/posts/283447550466580 Ronald is patiently waiting for a home and family of his own. Adoption fee applies. Please see adoption application at www.carolinahelpingpawrescue.com. FENCED YARD REQUIRED!

Story
Gidget hasn't had it easy. When she was found, her little body told a story of neglect and a little soul that's never known a tender touch. Her thin patches of fur, pressure sores and scars tell us that she hasn't always gotten the best nutrition or care that she needed. Even then she was loving and ready to give humans a second chance. Leave it up to a pitbull to be the sweetest one out of all the dogs in the shelter. Rescued off of death row, she is now sleek, shiny and ready to start a new life. Gidget is a total love bug. Her main focus is to get as close as she can to you and crawl up in your lap. At 42 lbs she is sure she's a lap dog! Did I say she loves people? She thrives on attention. She is the first up on her gate with a smile on her face when you walk in the kennel. She appears to have leash experience and pretty good manners. She did well with the tester dog and walked by the tester cats with no problems. She is also doing great in her obedience classes but of course. Loving the attention and treats! If you're looking for a sweetheart to bring joy to your household, Gidget is your gal
