Story
Chyna is a sweet little pit bull mix who loves people and to be showered with attention, however she is often wary of strange men. She is house and crate trained and is very good with some basic obedience skills and loves to "work". Chyna is high energy, very strong and she needs an active person who will have patience with her and continue to work with and socialize her.  She loves to play ball and play fetch, but she also has some arthritis and knee issues and needs to avoid over doing activity. Chyna listens well, is food motivated and is very smart. Chyna does have resource guarding issues with toys so no small kids in the home. She also has some allergy issues and requires frequent baths and topical medications. Chyna needs to be an "only dog" in the home and would do best in a quiet environment. Please e-mail us or call 715-468-7784 to find out more about Chyna. She is a great dog who deserves a great home. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 29, 2024, 12:25 am

Story
Hello! My name is Mabel, and my foster mom says that I have a heart of gold! I was surrendered to a local pound because my previous home said they, "didn't have time for me anymore". I am house and crate trained, and I walk well on my Gentle Leader head collar - unless I see something I want to chase, and then you better hold on tight - I am very strong! I know some basic obedience skills like sit, down and stay, and I like to chase balls and really enjoy snuggling on the couch. My foster mom says that I listen well and would make a great companion. Check out my cool video! Please come and meet me so I can find someone to snuggle with! Mabel is a wonderful girl, and she wants all the attention and doesn't appreciate when other dogs get in her face so she needs to be the only dog in the home. Mabel will never be a "dog park dog", but she will fill your life with lots of unconditional love! Being a senior gal, s he has some urinary incontinence which is controlled with a medication called Proin and it works great. Mabel also has a bad knee and no longer goes up anymore than 3 stairs. She is fne with going down the stairs.  Please e-mail or call us at 715-468-7784 to find out more about this very special dog.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 29, 2024, 12:25 am

Story
Gracie was surrendered along with her puppies. Now that her puppies have been adopted, this sweet 2 year old is looking for her new home. She is a petite, lean girl who weighs around 40 pounds. She gets along with most other dogs, but not all. She prefers a male in the household, as she has the Alpha female personality so she has clashed with most other female Dogs. She does not seem like she cares for cats.  She loves to get her exercise in daily with running about and being silly and playing with toys! After she's done exercising though she's done - she's really done- and ready to come inside to lay down and relax! She would make a great lap dog for any home giving you the most gentle kisses and sitting close to her people.  She will make a great addition to your family.   If you would like to meet me, please visit our website and complete the pre-adoption application.  Once it has been processed then we can make a date to get together! All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm tested (if over 2 years old), vaccinated, dewormed, flea and tick treated, microchipped and more before adoption. Our adoption policies include: Application, Vet Reference, Landlord approval & Criminal Background Check. We do not do same day adoptions. We request that you call for an appointment after your application has been approved to come and visit the dog of your choice. If you have a dog currently, you should bring him/her along to meet the new dog so we can see how everyone interacts.  Please visit our website for additional information. Story
Horace came in with his bestie Jasper and both these sweet lab mixes went unclaimed. He had a snout full of porcupine quills that were removed the same night.  And we found out he had a broken femur that healed incorrectly.  He was still happy as can be on his walks through the woods and is able to play around in the indoor arena with a human or his buddy Jasper. He has now had femoral head surgery and is recovering nicely!  Once he's fully healed he'll be ready for adoption. He gets a long with other dogs given the proper introductions. He does not care for cats. A home with or without kids would be okay with him. He would appreciate the playtime with kids, and he doesn’t jump much on you, so he has some pretty good manners. He seems to know some basic commands - will need some reinforcement with treats!  He's a love bug, and with his shiny black coat and his medium 45 lb size, he'd be a great couch potato buddie. He is a really sweet dog looking for his next home.  Fill out an app and come meet this sweet dog!  If you would like to meet me, please visit our website and complete the pre-adoption application.  Once it has been processed then we can make a date to get together!
