Story
A friend of mine had to leave the state quickly and he was unable to find a home for Butter before he left, I offered to find him a good home. This cat is SUPER FRIENDLY and would rather be petted than eat. We have him isolated from our dog and cats at the moment. He was previously an indoor and outoor cat, and was picked on by neighborhood cats, so not sure if he will get along with others. But when I go in to feed him, he comes over and wants to be petted first, and then goes back to the food. Whenever I would visit my friend, Butter would come out to my car and jump up in my lap before I got out of the car. I wish I could keep him, but at the max of cats per my husband, He would make someone a great companion. He is kitty litter trained. He is a fixed male, 4 years old and already has a microchip.

Story
Molson is the sweetest cat you’ll ever meet. He is great with other female cats and children. He cannot be with other male cats or dogs (which is the reason we must get rid of him). He is affectionate, likes to be held, and is very low maintenance.

Story
Big Butt is a large kitty with a bit of junk in the trunk. Big Butt loves to chat, loves other cats, and loves to eat. Big Butt has a big personality and loves to be the center of attention. He loves to dote on people and other cats. Big Butt has had several owners. His first owner loved him dearly, but was forced to re-home Big Butt (called Baby) due to a chronic health condition. Big Butt was adopted by his owner’s health care technician and lived happily with several kitty siblings. Tragically, Big Butt’s owner passed away in November 2022. He was taken in by a family member who also tragically passed away the following month in December 2022. Big Butt is seeking a home with a loving family and would love to be adopted with his kitty siblings.

Hi I'm gidget but I respond more to Cali as that was my former humans nickname for me before she died. I miss her very much but still have so much more love to give as I'm only around 7 years old. I'm a little shy considering everything, but if you have a little patience I promise we will be great friends. ** To apply to adopt one of our animals, please go to our website, www.cjpaws.org and visit the Adoptions page. Good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Abby is an energetic and fun-loving cat! At two and a half years old, she's just as adorable as she was as a kitten, and she still has plenty of curiosity and an uncanny ability to get into mischief. She's always looking for the next thing to do. So we feel Abby needs an experienced adopter who can keep her safe and healthy! We also feel she would do best in an adult-only household. Abby is very affectionate. She loves kisses, hugs, and sitting/snoozing on her foster mom's lap. Abby was rescued with her sister, Ariel, and both are currently being fostered in a home with two other cats. Abby tends to have a "take charge" personality, but she gets along with everyone. If she isn't adopted with Ariel, she would do very well as a companion for a cat (or cats) already in the adopter's home. The HPC adoption process involves a foster period (to ensure a good "fit") before the adoption is finalized. Since HPC visits the home during that time, potential adopters need to be in the Bradenton/Sarasota (Florida) area.

Story
Ariel is not only a beautiful cat, she's also unique! She has a small black "beard" and a short tail and looks very similar to a Japanese Bobtail, even though that breed isn't reflected in her DNA report. She's half American Domestic Cat with lower percentages of Norwegian Forest Cat, Highlander, Scottish Fold, and Siamese/Oriental Cat. At two and a half years old, Ariel really isn't a kitten any more, but she's still energetic and curious. She loves to play, and "the zoomies" are part of her daily exercise routine. She has also become very affectionate and loves to cuddle in her foster mom's lap. Ariel was rescued with her sister, Abby, and both are currently being fostered in a home with two other cats. Ariel gets along with everyone. If she isn't adopted with Abby, she would do very well as a companion for a cat (or cats) already in the adopter's home. The HPC adoption process involves a foster period (to ensure a good "fit") before the adoption is finalized. Since HPC visits the home during that time, potential adopters need to be in the Bradenton/Sarasota (Florida) area.
