Story
I am just a baby and very timid. I am looking for someone patient who will love me, keep me safe, and enjoy my companionship. *** To apply to adopt one of our animals, please go to our website, http://www.cjpaws.org and visit the Adoptions page. *** Pets can be viewed by appointment only and an approved application is required to make an appointment to meet one of our animals. It can take up to 24 hours to respond to your application and an additional 1-2 business days to have your application approved. Not all applications will be approved. Applications that are incomplete will not be approved. Please include all veterinary information, as we will be contacting your veterinarian. If you have never had a pet before and thus do not have an established vet either in the area or in an area you previously lived in, we recommend adopting from your local Animal Services. Our adoption fee covers spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, monthly flea medication while in our rescue, any medications while in our rescue, an FIV/FeLV test, and the unconditional love of your new family member. Our rescue does not continue to pay for flea medication, vaccinations, deworming, or any other medications after the animal is adopted. All costs and fees accrued after adoption are the responsibility of the new family.

Story
Hi I'm gidget but I respond more to Cali as that was my former humans nickname for me before she died. I miss her very much but still have so much more love to give as I'm only around 7 years old. I'm a little shy considering everything, but if you have a little patience I promise we will be great friends. ** To apply to adopt one of our animals, please go to our website, www.cjpaws.org and visit the Adoptions page. Story
I found Daphne outside when I was brooding ducklings. I didn’t want a cat getting any ideas about an easy-access snack, so I brought her inside & realized she was pregnant. She spent a few days isolated from my other animals, but eventually I was able to set up an indoor nesting area for her. I did take her to the vet once, she does not have worms or feline leukemia. They did an xray to check on the kittens, but didn’t mention anything abnormal about her anatomy when they saw it. She has not been spayed yet & had her kittens going on 9 weeks ago. She is an absolutely lovely cat, she loves to be paid attention to & pet, she doesn’t fuss when held, she lets me clip her nails & get her eye boogies off easily. She hasn’t once gone to the bathroom other than in a litter box & gets along without any issues with other cats. The only caveat is she does NOT LIKE DOGS. She got better at tolerating their existence, but when they get near her she hisses, growls, & sometimes throws claws.

Story
I need to find my cat a new home, ideally with multiple people in the household so she can receive the attention she needs. I have allergies and between that and her high strung nature, I cannot be a home for her any longer. She is declawed (this was done last year because of how destructive she was with claws).

Story
This is Luna! She is a super sweet and loving kitty we inherited from a friend. However, with our busy schedules we just do not have the time to give her all the loving she deserves. She is 3 years old and I have all of her shot records still. She is friendly with other dogs, but shouldn’t be in a home with super hyper ones. She would do better with calmer or older dogs. We do not have any other cats, so I’m not sure how she would do with them. She is very chill, so I’d imagine with some slow introducing they’d be the best of friends. She is extremely loving. She’s always wanting pets or loving. She loves her cat tree and sunbathing in the window.

Story
Big Butt is a large kitty with a bit of junk in the trunk. Big Butt loves to chat, loves other cats, and loves to eat. Big Butt has a big personality and loves to be the center of attention. He loves to dote on people and other cats. Big Butt has had several owners. His first owner loved him dearly, but was forced to re-home Big Butt (called Baby) due to a chronic health condition. Big Butt was adopted by his owner’s health care technician and lived happily with several kitty siblings. Tragically, Big Butt’s owner passed away in November 2022. He was taken in by a family member who also tragically passed away the following month in December 2022. Big Butt is seeking a home with a loving family and would love to be adopted with his kitty siblings.
