American Shorthair kittens & cats in Leavenworth, Kansas

TWO CATS: I really would love for them to stay in the same home. I’m so sad to post this but we do not have the money to maintain their medical bills at this point in life and I don’t want to make them suffer in my care. Binx (black) is 8, and Charles (Siamese) is 7. They both have opposite personalities, but they’re both sweet hearts. Neither is declawed and they are strictly indoors (however I think they’d like to go out if they were on a flea/tick prevention). They are up to date on all vaccines and treatments and I have all their medical records. They do well with dogs and children, although Charles is extremely shy to start out. They each have health concerns that have to monitored- they both are prone to getting UTI’s and are on special diets (neither are on any medications). They would do wonderful in the home of someone who works in the vet field in any capacity. We will be doing interviews and vet checks. No rehoming fee and they’ll come with everything I have for them.

Sophia is an 8 year old female, spayed cat. She was adopted from a shelter as a kitten, and has lived inside her whole life. Our home has a dog and a second cat, her litter mate. She has been occassionally pooping outside the litter box for about a year. We have tried everything from a vet visit, changing food, changing litter, and using litter attract. I believe she would do well in a home where she has a lot of attention from a human. Currently we work, and all the kids have grown, and she has a lot of time alone. Today I found she has been peeing on some bags I had on the basement carpet. We had already planned on tearing out the carpet, thinking that may help with her behavior, but after today she will not be allowed on any new flooring we will be installed. If she can not be rehomed asap, she will have to learn to live outside or go to a farm situation, as there is no shelter in our area and everywhere else is full.
