Story
Benjamin is a ten year old tuxedo cat who has been with us since he was a kitten. He is extremely hungry for affection and is in good health for being a ten year old cat. Though he mainly sleeps all day, he loves sitting in laps, eating treats, chasing lasers, and other typical cat things. He has lived his entire life with another cat without any issues. We are rehoming him because of behavioral issues that we do not have the time to address. While he has been generally good with our kids, he is not well behaved with folks outside our family, which impedes our social lives. Benjamin is skittish around strangers and will usually withdraw to be by himself when others are around. If approached by a stranger he can be feisty and lash out. He also has trouble adjusting to new environments, hissing and swatting for a few days, but if you leave him alone and let him settle in he will be a good boy. Benjamin has twice had FIUTD, but has had no issues for the past 5 or so years.

Story
Meet Jake 🖤🤍 | Energetic, People-Loving Playmate Jake is a black-and-white bundle of energy who lives life to the fullest — play hard, explore everything, then crash into a well-earned nap. If you’re looking for a fun, engaging companion who will keep you entertained, Jake is your guy. This outgoing boy is obsessed with people and loves being part of whatever you’re doing. He greets new faces with confidence and is always ready to make a new friend. He’s also a big fan of other cats and would enjoy having a feline buddy to wrestle, chase, and play with (with proper introductions and the right match). Jake has excellent litter box habits in foster care, uses scratching posts like a pro, and channels his energy into toys instead of furniture — a win for everyone. Jake is: • 🖤🤍 Playful, energetic, and full of personality • 👋 Extremely social — loves people and meeting new friends • 🐱 Would enjoy a cat companion (with the right match) • 🧸 Great with toys and uses scratching posts appropriately • 👧 Friendly with children • 🐶 Likely to do well with dogs given a proper introduction Like many confident, high-energy cats, Jake appreciates an environment that provides enrichment, playtime, and consistency. If you’re looking for a bold, affectionate, and entertaining companion who wants to be right in the middle of your world, Jake is ready to meet you. 🐾 ----------------------------------------- If you’re interested in adopting, please apply online at mscrescue.org/adopt. An approved application is required before we can schedule a meet & greet. Once approved, we’ll work with you to ensure it’s a great fit—and if it’s not, no worries! We’ll help you find the right match. All of our cats are adoption-ready and come: • Spayed or neutered • FELV/FIV tested • Dewormed • Up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines • Microchipped

Story
Bird is a 4-year-old female gray tabby. She has been a wonderful companion but since having her there has been an issue of urinating on our belongings every few months. She has chosen our clothes, things that smell like us and even our bed to urinate on outside of her litter box for no reason other than it may smell like other animals or she is stressed due to outside noise. She is an extremely nervous cat and is not thriving in our living situation of shared apartment space. Too much noise from neighbors, either in their own apartments or from the hallway, causes extreme stress and can even make her feel as though she needs to hide. If we have company over, she will hide for hours on end before finally deciding there is no threat. We have ruled out every other reason, including urinary tract issues and litter types/litter box fullness. She is not up to date on shots simply because she does not wish to venture outside and she is not near our shoes that may track something in.

Precious is very loving. Gets along with my dog very well. She loves to be petted and likes to watch me put my makeup on. She has never been outside and was trained on a regular litter box but uses an electronic litter box now, which will go with her and a three month supply of litter.

Story
Fluer was adopted in 2019 from a pet smart by a family member. Recently, that family member has moved and gave Fluer to us and never came and got her back because they ended up moving into a no-pets allowed area. Due to how busy we are, we aren’t able to give Fluer the love and attention she deserves, and are looking for someone who can cuddle with her etc. she is super nice, playful, cuddly and sweet. She doesn’t bite or scratch and isn’t violent.
