Meet Max, a striking black cat with a presence that commands attention. Born in June 2016, Max is a handsome feline with a sleek coat and piercing green eyes. While his exterior exudes confidence, Max is a cat with a complex personality, best suited for a patient and understanding adopter. Max is fiercely independent, preferring to chart his own course rather than follow the crowd. He's a cat who values his solitude and enjoys spending quiet moments lounging in his favorite spot. Despite his aloof demeanor, Max has a heart of gold waiting to be discovered by the right person. However, Max's shyness can sometimes be mistaken for grumpiness. He's a timid soul who takes time to warm up to new people and environments. Loud noises and sudden movements can startle him, so he's seeking a calm and serene home where he can feel safe and secure. With the guidance of an experienced adopter, Max has the potential to blossom into a loyal and loving companion. Patience and understanding are key when building trust with this gentle soul, but the rewards are immeasurable. If you're looking for a cat who's as mysterious as he is beautiful, consider opening your heart and home to Max. Story
Leda has been our cat for the past 7 years, since we adopted her as a kitten. Three babies and two cases of asthma and one allergy later we have made the tough decision to find her a new home. She used to live with another cat, but the other cat became aggressive and was removed to a home without another cat. Leda is good with our small children (ages 6, 3, and infant) but is still a cat and gets testy with them at times. She likes to roam in our backyard and would be happiest in a home with an outdoor space. However, she could also be kept exclusively inside in a home with a window seat.

Story
Mama Mo is a sweet cat- she has lived a tough life outdoors after her owners moved away. She was a good mama to her kittens (all adopted and loving their new homes)! She is learning to trust people again- and can sometimes be a little spicy if you pet her past her allotted timespan (which only she is privy to).  She had a brief stint at Whisker Station, but that wasn't her jam- she was not at all aggressive with the other cats but prefers a quieter more laid back vibe. So now she is back with us in her favorite chair! She deserves the absolute best- a family (without young kids) that really understands and appreciates cat behavior as she does have a few quirks! I think she would be fine with non-aggressive dogs or cats. She is pretty much ignores the other animals in our home- a dog and 3 other cats.  Mo loves to be brushed and pet, but does not enjoy if you put your face close to her. She will let you know about it! Reach out if you would like more information on Mo! It is definitely worthwhile gaining her trust- she is a special kitty and deserves a special family of her own!April 27, 2024, 8:55 pm

Story
Almost 1-year-old Winnie is a beautiful and petite house panther. She really just thinks the world is a little too "peoply." Trapped as a 3-month-old kitten in a feral community, we took a chance on taking her in to see if she could be a house cat, and she CAN! But she's not a fan of the touching. She IS a fan of playing with people holding toys, and even taking treats right out of their hand -- just not the touching, No petting, no petting! She doesn't scratch or bite, she just jumps away and glares at you balefully, until you feel the full shame of trying to mar her royal sleekness with your grubby human paws. Seriously, what were you thinking? Do YOU feel like the world is just a little too "peoply" sometimes, too? Do you enjoy museums, where you can admire beautiful things, and are okay with not being permitted to handle them? Is this persnickety princess your soulmate?
