Story
Hello all! Meet Goose! The sweetest little feral turned house kitten that you will ever meet! Goose unfortunately came into my care after his mom was hit by a car. I noticed him, thin and timid, scavenging for food around my building. After 2 and 1/2 months of patience, care, and love he is officially ready to become someones snuggly companion! Here are some fun goose facts: - he is around 6 months old, and was neutered through the countys catch and release program. TNVR (Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Release) is the practice of trapping feral cats, sterilizing them, vaccinating them and releasing them to live out the rest of their days in peace and freedom. This is why he has a clipped ear - he has been dewormed, ears, treated and cleaned regularly, and treated for fleas, ticks and heartworm - although he was very shy at first, goose slowly opened up and has now become an absolute glutton for snuggles. He enjoys being held, as well as purring in your lap for pets for as long as you will

Story
Hello there! My name is Piper, and I was born on July 2, 2023. I may be a little shy at first—I like to take my time when meeting new people, but once I feel safe and comfortable, my true personality shines through. With some gentle patience and one-on-one attention, I’ll show you just how sweet and loving I can be. I love quiet moments of affection and curling up in cozy spots where I can feel at peace. Oh, and I have a younger sister, Penelope, who I’m very close with. We’ve always been together, and it would mean the world to us if we could find a new home together. If you’re looking for a gentle companion who will blossom into your most loyal friend, I might just be the perfect kitty for you.

Story
Hi there! My name is Penelope, but you can call me Penny. I was born on March 31, 2024, and I’m a bundle of fun and sweetness all wrapped up in one! I love to play and prance around like the little princess I am. Whether it’s chasing toys or just chatting away, I’m always ready to bring some joy and laughter to your day. I have a playful spirit, but I also love being the center of attention, and I’ll make sure to let you know how much I adore you with my little meows. Oh, and did I mention I have an older sister, Piper? We’re best friends, and I’d love to find a home where we can stay together. If you’re looking for a playful, loving kitty to brighten your life, I’m your girl!

Story
I adopted Nosey from the SPCA a month ago. I wanted an older cat--Nosey is 12, but she acts more like a kitten. She has a great deal of energy and curiosity--hence her name. She loves attention and will happily sleep with me, but she does not like to be held. She enjoys playtime and sitting on my screened porch and watching the birds and squirrels. She often comes to be petted. She is intelligent and, with the help of a water-spray bottle, quickly learns major no-nos. I'm 82 and I don't have the physical or residential capabilities to meet her needs. I don't know how she would do with other animals. The SPCA was unsure, but that might be what she needs so she doesn't get bored! Unfortunately, there is NO way I could handle 2 pets.

Story
This is a very special one of a kind cat. He is a year old, litterbox trained, amazing with our dog and neighbors dogs too. He is not shy-loves people and will not be skittish at all. He acts like a dog and everyone who meets him loves him. He loves to cuddle and loves treats. I need to rehome him because my infant son is crawling now and grabs him and I am very concerned an accident will happen. He is seriously the best cat.

Story
Looking for a New Home for Our Cat, Motts Motts is a neutered, microchipped domestic short-haired cat, mostly black in color. He was adopted from the Wake County Animal Center on September 17, 2024, when he was around 11 weeks old. Motts is a very energetic and playful kitten, and he gets along wonderfully with our 10-year-old child. He’s great with kids and enjoys interacting with them. However, Motts does not get along well with our current 1-year-old female cat, who has been showing signs of discomfort. As much as we love Motts, we feel it’s best to find him a new home where he can be the first and only cat. We’re hoping to find a family that can provide him the love and attention he deserves and who can handle a lively and active kitten. If you or someone you know is interested, please reach out!

Story
We adopted Luna from the SPCA when she was a kitten. She is now 3 years old and is a beautiful and sweet, though somewhat timid cat. It breaks our heart to give her away, but our children have allergies that have progressively gotten worse over time. She is very friendly with cats, dogs, and humans. She plays a lot with her "sister" (our other adopted orange tabby cat we got at the same time), but they are not bonded. She adores our kids (ages 6, 11, and 13). She loves to hang out with them and just chill nearby. We also have a dog and she loves her so much (see pics). She is super relaxed and very independent. She does not meow much and is very well mannered. Luna would be a great addition to any family, with or without kids, with or without other pets, but she would do best in a calm house. Also available is our other cat, Jojo, who is also listed on this website. We would love for them both to go to one family if possible!
