Story
Kozmo found us five months ago, crying at our back door, hungry, scared, and all alone. After getting him healthy, fixed, and vaccinated, we learned he was just over a year old, still a baby, really. With time, safety, and love, Kozmo has blossomed from a skittish stray into a sweet, gentle companion who follows me everywhere, curls up in bed at night, and shows affection in the softest ways. Kozmo is smart, intuitive, curious, funny, playful, and loving. He would thrive as the only cat in a home with outdoor space where he can explore and roam. While he has made progress, he does not do well sharing space with another cat, and we want him, and our other cat to feel fully safe and relaxed. He goes outside in the daytime for a few hours, and stays in at night. We are hoping to find Kozmo the peaceful, cat-free home he deserves, where he can truly thrive.

Story
I am fostering the sweet, healthy 11-year-old cat of a friend who recently passed away. TinTin is a super sweet, cuddly, attentive lap cat who was part of a group of rescue kittens and has lived as both an indoor-only and indoor-outdoor cat (at different times). He has befriended four other cats and a tiny pekachu dog in his adult life. Not sure how he would do with larger dogs because he has never been around them. Because of how bonded he gets to his human, he needs someone who is either home a lot and attentive, or in a family or group house with attention from more than one person. He is a great mouser. Caution for frail elders: He is strong and heavy (15 lb), and will sometimes scoot underfoot, hop into your lap, and leap onto your stomach or chest when you are in bed. This was cute to my friend, but maybe not safe for a physically frail person who easily loses their balance. Needing to rehome him soon.

Story
ALF got his name because he came to us as a 1 week old kitten with huge eyes that made him look a bit like an alien. ALF is a quiet guy, but still loves to wrestle with his foster siblings. His favorite things are to laze around in the screened in porch or perch himself somewhere to watch out the window. He likes to be pet and held. He starts purring as soon as you look at him. He gets along with dogs and cats. He lives with cockatiel birds and just watches them. He's a chill and respectful guy. He has a cute crick in his tail which makes him unique. He had the crick when he came into the rescue. We think his umbilical cord was wrapped around his tail when he was born. It doesn't stop him from waving it around as he struts through the house. DOB: ~9/14/24 ALF is neutered, current on his distemper and rabies vaccines, microchipped and was combo tested negative. If interested in ALF, please fill out an adoption application: https://new.shelterluv.com/form/other/MFAR/42224-mfar-adoption-application
