Story
Scooter was adopted with his brother Lucky from a shelter in Cleveland Oh in April of 2021. They are a bonded pair and are very cuddly, not aggressive and fine around children. We are expecting our second child in August and it’s getting too hard to manage a toddler, a pregnancy and two cats. We feel they deserve a home where they can be loved and cuddled as much as they want. They’ve always been on very healthy cat food, science diet and grain free wet food options. They’ve never been outdoors and they’re up-to-date on their vet visits. They are very docile and friendly and have had a life full of cuddling. We just can’t maintain the same level of love they deserve with the new baby coming.

Story
Korra is a very sweet cat. Her favorite things to do are sleep and look out a window. She is use to a dog because she has been with our dog since we brought her home. She is good with kids but prefers her space and quietness, unless meal time and then she wants all the pets. She is litter box trained and favorite toy to play with is a hair tie and will even occasionally play fetch with it. Korra is updated on flea and tick medicine and with adoption she will bring with her litter/litter box/food bowls/2 months flea and tick medicine/food and cat tree (if you want it). Reason for rehoming: unfortunately with my daughters severe allergy to her we are needing to rehome her. She is going to be 12 years old this summer, so this decision has not been made lightly.

Story
Skye : ADOPTION PENDING Female, DSH, solid gray with white dot on chest Would prefer to be an only cat, older children only, not dog tested Skye so desperately wants to love and be loved but needs to adjust to home life after being on her own, probably since kittenhood. She was found living under a house near a dangerously busy intersection. We believe she recently had a litter of kittens but they were nowhere to be found. She is timid and skittish but will rub against your legs and lean in for cheek rubs! She currently spends most of the day under the bed or couch but will come out late in the evening for some affection and treats! She is definitely nocturnal but will spend much of the night sleeping with her foster mom. Skye loves to be pet and will come when called only with proper motivation, like treats! She is food-motivated and loves catnip! She does not like to be held, but oddly, does not run when her foster mom tries to pick her up! Skye will need a cat savvy family with plenty of patience to work with a cat who has probably been on her own all her life. She has only been in rescue a short time so is still getting acclimated to home life. Her foster mom is convinced that, with time, she will become a wonderful, loving and loyal companion! Adoption fee of $110 covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, FIV/FELV test and any other medical that may be required while in rescue.

Story
Hark, I am Raven, THE most beautiful Black kitty People have told me and others that I am a sleek, jet-black beauty with a soft, glossy coat that almost shimmers in the light. I have the prettiest yellow eyes that shine with curiosity and a hint of mystery. You will lose yourself when gazing into my eyes. While I am a bit shy around people and tend to keep my distance from unfamiliar faces my foster mom is helping me become more socially adept. My love for treats is undeniable—it’s one of the few things that can lure me out of my hiding spots! I am gentle and I have a sociable side, easily getting along with other cats. I adore lounging at the top of the cat tree, where I can survey everything from my lofty perch. I would love to meet you and have you love me. If you would like to meet me, the first step is to complete the Humane Association of the Lowcountry (HAL) Adoption Application located on the HAL website. The URL is: http://www.halsc.org Look forward to meeting you, Raven

Story
Raven is a fun and curious cat who loves to play. She has only ever lived indoors since we adopted her in 09/2022. She loves blankets, cuddling, toys, and watching birds through the window. She has lived with two dogs and she has always been friendly and playful with them. Her energy levels are medium. She loves treats and is great at catching any crawling bugs in the house! As shown in one of the photos, she is missing part of her tail from an accident when she was a kitten, we were told she was finding shelter inside the hood of a car and it got caught in the engine when they turned the car on. Raven is super clever and is good at communicating her needs (she will sit in the water bowl to let us know it is empty, as pictured) She will come with any litter, litter boxes, remaining food.
