Story
Oreo is about a year old and a few months. She was adopted at the Tri County Animal Shelter in Cedar Hill, Texas. Unfortunately, I am able to keep her because I am in the middle of a divorce and my financial situation is uncertain. Plus, because she is still young, I do not have as much time as I used to to be able to address behavior. Oreo can be a sweet cat, but she does not enjoy being pet for long periods of time. She can be hyper or, in other words, gets the "zoomies" often. She enjoys sitting on my apartment balcony and looking at the trees above us. I'm not certain how she is with kids but, with what I've experienced so far, I would say she would be better off in a home with no kids. My 6-year old son barely bothers her, and she will come up to him and swat at him. In general, he is very gentle with her but she usually wants nothing to do with him.

Story
The most friendly cat you will ever meet. He has never taken his claws out on us. The moment his paws feel skin he retracts. You can squeeze him, hug him, and cuddle! HE LOVES TO EAT! My toddlers pet and play with him and he is so unbothered by them. We have a female cat who always hisses at him and he just accepts her and doesn’t retaliate at all. He is so mellow and chill, except when it comes to food. I’m hoping he finds a wonderful home, he really deserves a loving forever home. He is a sweetheart but my hands are full right now. Also, he’s all indoor!

Story
I found Wren in Dallas, where he ran up to me on the sidewalk and showed me his belly for pets. After taking him to get his microchip scanned, we were both excited to find he had an owner — until the owner claimed they never had a cat before. Once we got home, he let me bathe him, clip his claws, give him meds to get some yucky things out of his system with minimal fuss, and settled in for lots of cuddles. Unfortunately, I already have a bonded pair of kitties who aren’t Wren’s biggest fan, and I’m also temporarily living in a family member’s home who is not too keen on a third cat. I only want to make sure he goes to a loving home and am happy to waive the adoption fee for someone willing to chat a bit beforehand (and maybe send update pics afterwards.) Wren deserves better than someone who isn’t excited to get the call that he’s been found, and I wish I could give him that home, but since I’m not in a situation to, hopefully you or someone you know can. Thank you for reading!

Story
I adopted a stray queen a few months back and it's about time for us to rehome the litter of her babies. Mom is a mostly American shorthair tabby and kittens are 3 female tabbies and one male mostly grey with cream here and there. Babies are 3 months old now, all really sweet and well behaved.

Story
Found this abandoned kitty yesterday in the middle of the road. About 4-6 weeks old and less than a pound. He has been nothing but loving and affectionate while with us. Unfortunately due to work schedules my wife and I cannot take on a kitten. He was taken to the vet and is currently taking meds for a respiratory infection. Seems to be recovering very well and takes medication like a champ!

Story
Looking for a snuggly and playful new addition to your family? Look no further! Niko is a 2 1/2 year old male who would love to spend his days purring in your lap, chasing a laser dot around the house, and cuddling up next to you while you read or sleep. He is great with kids, and he doesn't mind being manhandled or held. He is curious, talkative, and loves to observe what you are up to - he especially enjoys sitting on his kitchen perch and watching you cook. Sometimes, he is even too smart for his own good - he learned how to open several of the doors in our home! He needs lots of love and attention in order to thrive. When he doesn't get enough attention or snuggles, he gets anxious, and he expresses his anxiety by overgrooming the fur on his belly. Consequently, he has some bald spots on his tummy! He is really a neat cat though, and with lots of love he will thrive. His current family loves him dearly but is expecting a baby soon and cannot continue to care for him.

Story
This is gizmo, an orange ball of sunshine. She is incredibly friendly. She found us one day, ran into the garage covered in oil and dirt. I think she was found under the hood of someone else car and abandoned. She had the most raggedy collar I had seen in my life and I knew I couldnt kick her out, despite having 3 other pets. I tried my best to socialize her with my 2 adult neutered male cats and 1 male dog..and other humans. She has NO FEAR and loves to be social with everyone!!! She is FULL of life and energy. I recommend maybe at least one other pet in your home, unless you have ample time on your hands to socialize with her. Important information: She is young and ~6 months removed from giving birth, no kits survived. We did not know she was pregnant. She now has a sinus issue, and constantly sneezes mucus. We had her on an antibiotic for awhile and it helped but currently we cannot fund her treatment for more mucus control. She is sneezy!! And needs to be spayed!
